Story

We adopted Reina as a puppy from a shelter in Virginia in 2017. Since having her join our family, we have moved several times (6 moves in 3 different states) and had 3 kids (currently aged 7, 4, and 1). Reina has adjusted well to all of these many changes, but over time she has gradually gotten less of the attention and love and stimulation that she truly deserves. This summer, we did allergy testing for our children since their diagnoses of asthma, and it revealed an allergy to dogs. This finally confirmed our devastating decision to try to rehome her. Reina is a 9 year old dog, but truly still has the energy and excitement of a young dog. She is down for any adventure (loves the beach and trails), but also happy to snuggle up on the couch. While Reina is absolutely a People Dog, she also loves playing with other dogs and adjusts well to whatever type of play they like. She really is an amazing, playful, loving pup.

My Dad had surgery a little over 6 months ago and was unable to care for her since then. I’ve been housing her until we’re able to find a new proper home. My landlord doesn’t allow dogs but knows that it’s temporary. She’s house trained and uses the potty in my backyard. We also have a cat whom she gets along just fine with. I also have kids, my youngest being 7. She’s not aggressive at all and loves to play with her rubber ball and rope toy. She also loves belly rubs!

Molly is a sweet, snuggly 10lb couch potato who is in need of a calm, child free home. We don't really know her age, but we think she's around 9/10 years old.We recently had a baby and unfortunately she cannot settle into our new routines and rhythms and so she has been regressing in terms of her housebroken-ness. She is not aggressive AT ALL towards other animals or to children, but she is very anxious and does not like to be alone. She needs to be an only dog, as other dogs make her nervous. She is fine with cats, but won't attempt to interact with them.She would be ideal for someone who works from home and who enjoys short walks throughout the day. She prefers women, but will warm up to a man with a little extra time.She is leash trained, but she loves to be carried. She likes hiking and running around on the beach, but she's just as happy next to you on the couch.We are sad to rehome her, but after a year of trying to get her used to our child, we think she's be happier elsewhere.

Hi, this is Onyx! She’s a beautiful 6yr old Border collie & American Pitbull Terrier mix. She’s completely potty trained as well as trained to walk off leash at parks and during hikes. Very good and protective of kids and infants and gets along with other dogs as well. Unfortunately, we’re unable to keep her with us because we have a newborn in our home and due to allergies & health related issues. We would absolutely love and hope for her to be with a new owner/family who will shower her with love just like we have. She’s an excellent dog for athletes or active people who love to run & hike.
