Wyatt

Retriever (Unknown Type) Great Pyrenees

Male, 1 yr 4 mos
Los Angeles, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Rescued from an area shelter, Wyatt had come in as a stray. They suspected that he had been attacked because of the multiple injuries and lacerations on him. He also had hundreds of foxtails embedded in his fur that took days and finally a medicated bath to clear out. When we saw the photos sent out by the shelter, we knew that we had to help. Through it all, Wyatt has been sweet and very tolerant of all the handling he needed, even by strangers. This handsome boy is 1 year and was in desperate need of some extra TLC and medical care. We are happy to report that he is healthy. He is meeting lots of new friends, human and dog, and seeks out affection and play. He loves toys, which he likes to carry, toss and de-stuff himself. He is comfortable on the soft couch and dog-bed but he also likes hanging out in the backyard. Wyatt is gaining the confidence, training and experience a youngster needs. He is housetrained, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is not going to be the dog to go on long walks or hikes but he will enjoy playtime with other dogs. He can adjust his playstyle but he really likes playing with other rough and tumble dogs. If you are looking for a very sweet, affectionate boy who is looking to love and be loved, then Wyatt is your guy.

Story
Clifford reminds us of Scooby-Do but he is not as big. He is 3 years old and an agile 45 lbs. If you are looking for a sleek, sweet and sensational pup, Clifford is your guy. He would love a house full of tennis balls. He can play fetch endlessly but will not keep bugging you when you stop playing. He alerts you to strangers at the door but will quiet down once you reassure him that they are OK. We describe him as a super mutt as we assume that he has lots of different dogs DNA. He has lived with another dog, cat and infants to toddlers. He likes to snuggle on the couch or will lay down on the floor with his head resting on your feet.

Story
What a happy little love bug! Leo, age 2, is a pocket sized golden retriever mix at 38-40 lbs. He is currently living with his doggie-saavy foster momma and young GR canine sis. He's completely house trained with no accidents at all! Leo has found the joy of playing with sprinklers and garden hoses so he may be a good pool/beach/lake buddy. He is food (CHEESE!) and toy motivated. He walks well on leash although he can get excited to say "hey" to squirrels, cats and other doggos. He is easily redirected and is working on being more Zen. Such a smart boy! Most importantly, he is a huge snuggler and will sometimes flip upside down if there is ample room (and he doesn't need much). His new family will be able to provide good exercise, continue his training and spoil him immensely. This dog will be someone's best friend for sure. Are you the lucky one? Story
Well, it turns out we named this boy well. He has a doctorate in ball: ball fetching, ball squeaking, ball hide and go seek. Doc came to us from a local shelter when his owner didn't claim him. The shelter gave him the age of 6 years, but his enthusiasm for playing ball is more like that of a younger dog. He weighs 60 pounds, is neutered/chipped/vaccinated and is doing really well in his foster home. He is not a barker, knows how to chill, is house trained, does well with visitors and is proving to have a super sweet personality. The outside world has many distractions and his foster is helping him learn to walk nicely on leash. If you're looking for a really nice dog with a great temperament, give some thought to this handsome guy. He is going to make some lucky family a wonderful companion.

Story
Lady Guinevere may not be royalty but she has a charm that will win you over. She has a smile that lights up a room and wears her ear tuffs like a crown. This sweet Golden Retriever mix is about 3 1/2 years old and could stand to lose a few pounds (hey it happens). We think she going to be a marvelous companion dog. She is dog friendly, but cats are unknown. She's new to us and settling into her foster home, but if ear tufts are your jam this gal might be the one for you. Story
Meet Doodle! Doodle is a 7-year-old mini-Australian shepherd. He is a super smart, funny and loving dog but he is not for the first-time dog owner. True to his breed, he has a very high herding instinct and is protective of his home. He is also very obedient, knows all his commands, is potty-trained, crate trained, and absolutely can't get enough attention from his person. He requires a lot of exercise (just a walk isn't enough), so he'll need an active owner who will run with him, hike with him, and take him on adventures. Doodle would do great in agility or herding activities. He can be reactive with larger dogs so we are looking for a home without a resident dog over 20 lbs. but he does get along well with small dogs and cats (although he does like to herd them when he gets excited). In his foster home, Doodle lives with four other dogs and two cats. He does really well with the established boundaries in his foster home and flourishes when he knows the rules and what's expected of him. In addition to regular exercise, his foster mom gives him puzzles, interactive toys and lick mats that help to keep him mentally stimulated. He is a great guard dog and very protective so he can be reactive to visitors in his home. Doodle is also selective with who he likes and tends to favor women over men so introductions to new people must be done slowly and with care. Doodle is a medium size dog, weighing in at 35 lbs., is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is an amazing guy and we know his perfect home is out there. Doodle is looking for a quite home with no children where he would prefer to be the only dog. He needs an owner who has owned a herding breed before and is up for the challenge of owning a high energy, intelligent dog. Is it you?
