### 🌞 Meet Maisie: The Nap Queen With a Heart of Gold 📍 Soaking up sun and cuddles in Southern California At around 10 years young and 48 pounds, **Maisie** is a mellow sweetheart who’s perfected the good life: two zoomies a day, mealtime dance parties, and sunny strolls to greet the neighbors. Her ideal day? A hammock, a soft breeze, and a cozy spot beside her favorite human. Maisie is: * 🥣 A low-maintenance foodie (she happily takes her meds with meals) * 🐾 A gentle “leaner” who'll rest her head on your leg, lap, or hand for scritches * 🌿 A grass-sniffing connoisseur * 😌 Drama-free, easygoing, and endlessly endearing She’s not asking for much — just a soft bed, kind company, and maybe a furry friend to nap beside. In return, you’ll get soulful gazes, quiet companionship, and the occasional kitchen boogie. If you're looking for a laid-back lovebug to join you in life’s slower, sweeter moments — **Maisie’s your girl**. 👉 Come meet Maisie — the best thing that’ll ever lean on you.

Story
Looking for a loyal, loving, low-drama best friend? Benny might just be your perfect match. At 4 years old and 55 pounds, Benny is a sweet, steady companion who’s mastered the art of being the *perfect housemate*. He comes when called *every* time, walks beautifully on leash, loves learning new tricks, and is always game for a fetch session — but also knows when it’s time to chill. He’s respectful of your space and your rules: want a cuddle buddy on the sofa or in bed? He’s in. Prefer a no-furniture pup? He’s good with that, too. Benny listens, adjusts, and just wants to be near his people — he’s a total Velcro dog in the best way. Benny does well with small dogs and loves playing with his foster sister, a Goldendoodle.. He’s respectful of cats with proper introductions, and gentle with calm, kind kids. He doesn’t chew your stuff, doesn’t beg at the table, and will quietly hang out while you read, work, or relax. He loves to watch TV with you too! Neutered, vaccinated, and healthy, Benny is ready to find a home where he can continue to shine. He’s the kind of dog who makes life easier, sweeter, and a little more fun. **Follow Benny on Instagram: [@frr.bennyboy](https://www.instagram.com/frr.bennyboy/)** **Apply to meet him — your new shadow is waiting!**

Story
We sprung Danny from the shelter in San Diego where he came in as a stray in dire need of some TLC. He was severely malnourished at 30lbs underweight with wounds and cuts to his as well as skin and ear infections. Despite everything, this boy has been an absolute love. He is friendly and relaxed with people, happy to interact with dogs, and a real homebody. He is incredibly loving and trusting, and we’re already seeing glimpses of his playful curiosity, gentle energy, and even some signs of past training. He walks beautifully on a leash, takes treats with the sweetest enthusiasm, and shows a natural sense of polite behavior. He has not yet had an introduction to kids or cats, but from his demeanor it is likely he will be friendly with both. Danny would do best in a home with multiple adults that will minimize his alone time as he acclimates to his new life.

Story
Meet Penelope – the bravest cuddlebug you'll ever meet! Penelope is one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever rescued, and she’s finally ready to find her forever home. After enduring unimaginable trauma early in life, Penelope landed in a shelter where she was placed on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Thankfully, we were able to step in just in time and begin her journey to healing. During her initial veterinary assessment, we discovered something heartbreaking — Penelope was missing her tongue. We’ll never know exactly what happened, but from that moment on, it became our mission to help her heal, both physically and emotionally. Now, months later, Penelope is thriving in foster care and full of love to give. She adores people — especially kids! She loves following little ones around to see what they’re up to, and being a part of playtime is her favorite. She’s a total cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to snuggle up with her people. When she’s not curled up with you, she enjoys sunbathing in the yard or snoozing peacefully in her crate. Penelope is also a social butterfly with other dogs — both big and small! She lives with two canine foster siblings and absolutely lights up when friends come over for playdates. While she prefers the energy of larger dogs for more active play, she’s gentle and respectful with smaller pups, too. The only thing on her “no thanks” list? Cats. You might be wondering about her care needs — especially with her missing tongue. Thankfully, it’s very manageable! She eats “mini meatballs” twice a day and has made amazing progress, transforming from underweight and frail to strong, healthy, and absolutely beautiful. Penelope has shown us nothing but resilience, love, and joy — now it’s time for her to share all of that with a forever family.

Story
Meet Sam, a super sweet two year old pitbull mix. He is a smart, affectionate pup that is the perfect combo of play and chill. You can see the soulfulness in his beautiful gold eyes. His favorite activities include playing with his toys, watching the world out the front window, and snuggling with his humans. He can play energetically, so he is recommended in a home with children over 12 with no cats.  Currently weighing at 50 pounds, he's a great medium sized dog. He walks great on leash with no reactivity to other dogs and is fully potty trained. He enjoys meeting new people and gets along well with dogs of all sizes.
