Story

Rita is 3-4 years old. She has had a difficult life - she was born in Mexico and the only member of her litter to survive, at a young age almost died due to complications from IBD, and has fought through it to become a sweet and loving little girl. She was in the care of her original owner until a few months ago and has been in my care while waiting to find a forever home. She loves to snuggle and curl up next to any human. She loves walks and lying in the sun. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and has been around little children without any issues. She has IBD that requires a special veterinary prescribed diet and medications and has complications related to this - will often have bouts of diarrhea and fecal urgency and needs to be let out to use the bathroom often. She is an anxious dog but warms up very quickly and is eager to learn, and gains confidence fast with positive reinforcement. She would do best in the care of someone who is home the majority of the time

Story

I adopted Showtime from a shelter in August of 2024. Showtime is about 3 years old. While at the shelter, he was a “volunteer favorite”. He is good with most dogs but not cats. He is friendly with adults but behavior with children is unknown. He loves toys, especially chew toys. Showtime needs a lot of stimulation like frequent walks which I’m unable to do because he pulls and my experience with large breeds is limited. He needs someone that is patient and has the resources to train him to walk better. Showtime is very alert, he probably would make a very good search and rescue dog. I want Showtime to find his match so that he can thrive and live his best life!

Story

I got Parker as an older puppy just to foster for a few months. Well a few months have turned into a few years and many great adventures. She a great loyal loving dog but I just can’t give her what she needs and deserves anymore. I’m gone working 60-80 hours a week so she gets limited exercise now and not much quality time. She has a dog door and back patio/small yard area, but she needs someone with a little more time and attention. She great on hikes, and trips. She’s been to Yosemite a few times and all over the mountains.

Story

Around 7 year old, 15 lbs chihuahua mix. Adopted from West LA animal shelter - he was there for a few weeks after having been surrendered by a family, so he's never been a stray. He's very well behaved, and is very eager to be trained so long as treats are involved. He is affectionate and likes to show his belly to get chest and belly rubs, and will even let strangers pick him up. A new home would ideally have another dog or a cat for him to be friends with. I've been walking him about an hour throughout the day. He's in good health, though one of his teeth has some bloody gums. Ideally looking for family with another dog or pet he could get along with.

Thalia has been the most loyal friendly dog ever. She is very smart and loving. I was crossing the border in tijuana mexico they were selling dogs and i felt horrible so i took care of Thalia. I unfortunately fell at work now I'm on disability unable to keep up with her energy of walking. We used to walk about 4x a week hiking she loves it. The entire neighborhood knows her because of her high energy and beautiful face. it's tough making this decision but it's for the best for her and I.
