Story
Sarah Connor was a momma dog who was named after being found in the middle of a rural highway, protecting her single puppy. A kind-hearted person rescued her. Later, three other puppies were found nearby and joyfully reunited with Momma Sarah. Vista is one of the three puppies found nearby. He was adopted and then, through no fault of his own (divorce), Vista has been returned to Missouri K9 Friends. He is an energetic, playful, goofy boy who loves tummy rubs. He is friendly with other dogs. Because he has high energy, he may not be best suited in a home with younger children.

Story
It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m looking to rehome my dog, Maverick, to the right person or family. Maverick is a 9 year-old prior rescue (birthday October) with a life expectancy of 14-16 years. He’s been with me since he was a pup, and he truly is a loving dog at heart but he’s also a bit complex and needs the right environment to thrive. He is naturally shy and skittish, especially around people. He’s not aggressive at all—just very aloof and prefers to keep his distance. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality really starts to show. He’s one of those dogs who bonds deeply, just on his own terms. Maverick gets along well with other pets and mostly keeps to himself. He has high anxiety and has had professional training, which has helped, but he still needs a patient and understanding owner. He is house trained and leashed trained. Describe him: Stubborn but intelligent, timid but tough, Loving but independent. Doesn't like his paws touched.

Story
We are looking to rehome our 75 lb spayed senior girl. We rescued her 8 years ago with no known background otherwise. once she trusts you, she is very sweet, snuggly, and loves calm walks and relaxing at home. She is, however, very anxious and reactive with: New people/visitors, Other dogs and animals, and Busy or high-traffic homesBecause of this, she needs: An adult-only home, No other pets, A very calm, quiet environment, and importantly, an experienced dog owner comfortable with anxious/reactive dogsShe can be vocal and appear intimidating when first meeting people, but this comes from fear and anxiety, not true aggression. She needs slow introductions and patience. This is a very hard decision for our family, but with a young child at home we can no longer meet her needs in a way that keeps everyone safe and calm. She is deeply loved, and we are committed to finding her the right home. She will stay with us until the right match is found. Adoption fee required.

Story
Holyfield (After Evander Holyfield, a portion of his right ear was bitten off during his first weeks of life) is a very affectionate dog that loves attention. He was given back to me from his previous owner due to a medical condition of his owner's mother in-law. He has all of his shots up to date but has not been neutered yet. A home with a fenced back yard or a farm is a must (No apartments) and he has been eating Purina one large breed puppy chow for that last 3 weeks. I have his 3 siblings and the mother who is a Rottweiler. He'll be 1 year old on May 30th. I look forward to getting the right person/family their new best friend.
