Story

Ollie is 8 yo this month, I’ve had him since 2018. As he's gotten older — he’s become reactive to other dogs & men. I’ve never seen him react negatively to smaller dogs/puppies but the older he gets the less I make guided attempts. I was in an abusive relationship for a handful of years and that’s where the reaction to men comes from. However, I’ve worked diligently with him and have found that men with grace & overall calm, masculine demeanors have never had an issue. There has been no history of anything more than a warning lunge or growl. But needs someone who has the time&respect to build trust&not make him feel threatened. Unfortunately, at my fault, he attacked another dog at my apartment and it would cost me about $18k to break my lease & secure a new home where he can feel safe & have his own space. Something I just do not have the capacity to do. He was an exceptional foster sibling, a real road dog for my travels up/down the east coast & has been fantastic with children.

Jake was adopted in 2018 in No.Va after being picked up bc he was hit by a car with a broken leg. His leg was operated on and he was good as new. Jake is a very muscular dog and I am 70 years old and I am having more trouble handling him on a leash. It is IMPERATIVE that he have a fenced yard bc he loves to run. My granddaughters love him and he is so gentle. He has never bit anyone and does not jump up on visitors.

Venus is such a sweet and loving dog. Shes great with anyone she’s ever met and any dog she’s ever met. She does have separation anxiety and prefers to be with someone pretty much 24/7. When she’s with you, she calms down very quickly. She is high energy and loves walks and play. Unfortunately we’ve had 3 separate apartments threaten eviction as she will bark nonstop when we aren’t home. She’d do best with a family that owns there own home or can be with her regularly.
