He has a gentle nature with the people he knows and bonds closely with his primary caregivers. He enjoys cuddling, sleeping close, and being near his person, and he has a calm, sweet temperament in a familiar environment. He has previous experience living with another dog and did well in that home. However, he can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, cats, and new people, so slow, structured introductions and consistent guidance are essential. He also experiences some separation anxiety and is best suited for an adopter who can provide routine, reassurance, and companionship. On walks, he is curious and enjoys exploring—especially when he finds acorns or fresh grass to nibble. Indoors, he settles well and is affectionate, gentle, and eager to please. He is being rehomed solely due to a family move and is not being surrendered for behavior

Hello! This is Kori. She is 5 yrs old. An sweet energetic girl. She loves people and is also very affectionate. Kori came to me as a boarding and daycare client however her previous owners went through some life changes and couldnt keep her. They were considering giving her to the shelter however I didn't think she would do well in that environment. She does get nervous in new noisy places so i decided to foster. I run a boarding business so shes been around all size dogs. She does well with male dogs. Other females take some warming up to but in time she's ready to play. She has been around small children via her previous home and loves children. She does know the basics (Sit, Stay, Down etc.) She is house and crate trained as well. She is an free adoption. She is coming with everything needed (Beds, Crate, food). I am also offering to help pay 50% towards training to help her transition into her new home. Kori is such a good dog. She would make a great addition to the family.

Hovi is 3 years old. He was received at 12 weeks old and has been with the same owner for that duration. He is a lovable, energetic dog, whole loves to play and cuddle. Very sweet boy, extremely smart. He would benefit from a family setting with kids or other dogs because of his energy level. He would also do well with a yard or other means of stimulation.

Story

Sammy will be 5 yrs old March 2025. He is healthy and lovable. He loves dogs and people except he lunges and barks at children, cyclists, and tall men. Sammy barks at people when he's in the yard. When Sammy was 1 1/2, his owner left him at a shelter in southern Virginia. I adopted him. He has serious separation anxiety. If I leave him home for as little as 5 or 10 minutes, he barks, yowls, and cries pitiously and nonstop. He is anxious but puts up with dog day care if there are many dogs. If I leave him with a family member he hides and will not eat or drink for hours. I have tried prozac, gabapentin, and trazadone without luck. I have worked with a specialist in separation anxiety, but I lack the patience to continue the training. The ideal owner would be a dog trainer with extreme patience who loves Sammy and embraces the challenge of desensitization training.

This is Oddie. He is an older dog, being around 5 years old. He was rescued from the street when he was a puppy and we've been wanting to find a new home for him. We went through the adoption process once. However, he was returned to us due to lack of commitment from the new owner. We want to find a stable home for Oddie with people that will take care of him. He is a bit of a nervous dog but he is a lovely boy.
