Thor is the bestest boy ever! He’s a cuddle bug through and through. I wish I could keep him, but he’s too playful with my cat and she isn’t able to be comfortable around him. He’s such a great family dog and has a decent amount of training under his belt!

I'm at our New York Avenue shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 1201 New York Ave. NE between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Boy Brutus is just the most handsome guy. And he's a bit cute too with those soulful eyes. He was found as a stray, so we don't know much about his background, but he was so happy to see people when he was found! He loves to give kisses and really likes to go for walks. And Brutus loves treats, in particular cheese! Brutus has a lot of energy, and he is very strong. Walking him may be a challenge for some folks as he gets very excited and pushy when he's around other dogs so be ready. But he's really a great, friendly pup who would love a home where he gets lot of exercise and of course cheese!Check out Brutus' video! https://www.youtube.com/embed/5Q5BFjMvcfkHead to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

I'm in a FOSTER HOME! If you want to meet me, you can start the process by emailing my foster parent at:glidewellbret@gmail.com to set up a time to meet me.Hi everybody, my name is Go-Go and I am ready to go-go home with you! I am just the sweetest lady and have the best manners. Everybody at the shelter knows me because I have the cutest wiggly booty (Just like "Go-Go" music, I am all about rhythm!) and love to get out some zoomies in the play yard. I've also become a Volunteer Favorite and they shared, "She should have been a favorite for a long time, because she is just the shelter su-paw-star!!!" And another dedicated volunteer said this about me too! - "I wanted to do a Go-Go appreciation post because she's such a sweetheart. Every time I see her, I ask, "How on Earth are you still here???" Only half of her can fit on my lap and that's good enough for her. She climbs right up and could stay there for hours. She goes in and out of her den with ease and very polite with treats. She's really craving a close connection with someone special." And then I became a Staff Favorite (I'm trying not to let this go to my head! :-) and they said: "Go-go melts in the palm of your hand and will gladly hop up onto your lap for all the rubs!" (yup, that's me!) I had a home before and have spent some time with fosters and I promise I am the best house guest! I always make sure to be on my best behavior, especially when kids are around, and I hope I can impress you when you stop by to meet me. I am ready to start my newest adventure and would love to follow you wherever you go, whether that is hiking in the mountains or snoozing while we watch some tv. Have you been looking for a cuddly, big pup ready to fill your home with love? Then come meet me today! I would like to be the only dog in your home, but with so much love, rhythm and fun, I will be all you need to go-go and be happy!Check out Go-Go's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyNQ1abn6Js

Email info@rescuepooches.com for an application Hello! I am looking for my forever home! I'm seven months old. All of my siblings have been adopted! The rescue isn't exactly sure what the mix is, but it is definitely hound! I will most likely be a medium sized adult, but they don't know for sure. I am currently in a home with other dogs, outdoor cats, and grandchildren. So, I am socialized! I am your typical happy go lucky puppy and ready for a home to call my very own! My foster will be part of the interview process and she will provide potential adopters with additional photos and video. Right now, he is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring him to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. If you'd like to find out more information about our adoption procedure or to apply for this dog paste this into your browser: https://rescuepooches.com/adoption-info-application/

I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Pryncess and Roxxi are bonded and need to be adopted together. Pay only one adoption fee for both!!!Pryncess and Roxxi are two peas in a pod. And they are the cutest peas you'll ever see! They are both so charming and lovable with tails wags that will make you smile. One staff member even said that they have "very sweet dispositions!" A volunteer had been spending time with these dolls and shared, "Who doesn't love a dynamic female duo??? Laverne & Shirley, Venus & Serena, Thelma & Louise! They have NOTHING on Pryncess & Roxxi. There aren't enough adjectives to accurately describe how wonderful these two are. Calm, mellow, loving, funny, affectionate, smart, and gentle are just a start. They play wonderfully together. Their tails never stop wagging, they're happy go lucky and completely adorable. 100% pure love." These doggies had a home but could not stay anymore. They are both a bit skinny at the moment, so we are giving them extra meals to fill their hungry tummies. Pryncess and Roxxi not only get along with people, but they are also quite comfortable with other dogs. Pryncess and Roxxi are innocent, darling bonded pups who would love to meet you soon. And bonus- Pay only one adoption fee for both!!!Head to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza
