Story
I need someone who can train dogs, this will be his third home. He needs patience, behavioral training, cuddles, and someone that has the time, and will put in the effort to love him like he should be. I've been in FB groups and other outlets/communities, and that has not worked out. I had to give him away due to current life difficulties and changes. The current owners did not think it was a good fit so now I have to find him another home. Due to me relocating, they currently have him so you will be in contact with both of us.

Story
Meet Stubbz, a charismatic 1.5-year-old Basset Hound Lab mix with a zest for life. He is crate trained and house trained. This spirited pup is a perfect fusion of energy and sweetness, ready to charm his way into your heart and home!  Stubbz is a ball of enthusiasm, always up for an outdoor adventure. Whether it's exploring new trails or playing with his beloved toys, he's the ideal companion for an active lifestyle. However, his energy translates to some excitement during play and leash walks. Stubbz and his foster Mom are currently working on perfecting his leash manners, and with a little guidance, he's sure to become a great walking partner. As much as he loves to express his delight, Stubbz can get a bit mouthy which is his way of sharing the exuberance bubbling inside him. With patient training and positive reinforcement to include yummy treats, Stubbz will learn to channel his excitement into more gentle interactions. Despite his minor quirks, Stubbz is an absolute sweetheart. His strong yet gentle demeanor makes him a delightful cuddle buddy, especially after a fun filled day. Though he enjoys resting near his foster Mom, Stubbz will normally walk unescorted into his open crate, fluff his blankets and go to sleep.   If you're looking for a companion who's not only eager for adventure but also on a journey of self-improvement, Stubbz is the perfect match. Help him refine his leash skills, and you'll have a charming and loyal friend for life.  His captivating smile and expressive eyes will surely brighten even the gloomiest of days.  Are you ready to embark on a journey of training and companionship? Stubbz is waiting to bring his unique blend of energy and sweetness into your home. PAW places animals in the Washington DC/Baltimore Metropolitan areas only. ##1786501##

Story
Meet adorable Edna a 1 year old, 29 lb., hound puppy mix.  Edna is in foster care and learning and adapting every day to her neighborhood, friends and dogs. She is very affectionate and energetic and attaches quickly to everyone around her. She is loved very much by her foster parents and did well with all members of the boarding and doggie day care facility she attended when her foster parents occasionally left town, ie over the holidays.  She’s playful, friendly, happy, accepts house guests well, and is so fun to be around!  Edna is still learning basic commands. She does like to run and bark with the pack but can be easily settled with a variety of chew toys, as she will play quietly by herself for quite a while. She sleeps quietly through the night – yes, she will expect to sleep with you - and you can expect her to initiate contact as morning grows close. Edna enjoys going to parks, restaurants and breweries.  She is good on leash but could use some on-leash training when she sees other dogs; she is lanky, fast and loves to run. She is mostly housetrained but needs ongoing reinforcement at her age but her healthy appetite will help with training.  She is also very easy to re-direct.  Edna adapts well to her surroundings, is an absolute joy to have in the house and is an excellent watch dog.  She takes direction from older, mature, dogs well. Edna will play by herself in the backyard (we recommend a fenced yard for her because she loves to run) and keeps herself entertained when a human or other dog is not available to play. Importantly, she is quite the little lady when it comes to resources and never challenges her foster fur brother when food or treats are being distributed.  She never growls or bares her teeth around other dogs. Edna is looking for a loving home with people and dog(s) who will play with her and show her tons of affection. She is a very sweet and happy girl who can't wait to find her forever home.  She does bark regularly (but not excessively) so she may not be ideal for a close apartment/condo-type situation.  She has no experience with children or cats so she may be best for a dog-experienced adult only home. Story
Becky is a super sweet, very loving, mixed breed - maybe some lab, maybe some pit, maybe some boxer - who knows?!  She is petite and gentle, great with kids, and enjoys snuggles.  She has a great temperment - happy to chill but also happy to walk and play.  She seemed to be housetrained at her former foster's house but will need a refresher.  She has been friendly to all people she has met and most dogs - but she can be dog-selective and would do best with a mellow male doggie friend or as an only dog.  If you want a devoted friend and companion who will go out and about with you Becky is your girl.
