Story
Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months.  They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens.  That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high.  She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones.  Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people.  She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best.   Children should be older and respectful.  Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall.   Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car.  She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue.  Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable.   If interested in Ginger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  Her adoption fee is $150.July 23, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Meet Sadie. We just rescued her from a southern OH shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia.  Sadie is a purebred white shepherd. She is 9 years old and about 70 lbs. She CANNOT be around any cats and should have a privacy fenced yard due to her prey drive. We were told she is dog friendly. Sadie seems to be hearing impaired but seems to hear high pitched sounds. She is spayed and all vaccines are up to date. Sadie is housebroken and crate trained. Looking for an adopter equipped to handle hearing impaired dogs. Sadie’s adoption fee is $175. If interested in Sadie, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.July 23, 2024, 10:52 am

Meet Sydney, rescued from an overcrowded KY shelter. Sydney is 4 to 5 years old and currently around 65 lbs and overweight. She needs to lose 10 to 15 lbs. Story
Onyx is a 4 year old neutered male. He's about 86 lbs. He's lovable, calm, smart, and a good walking buddy. He has 3 human siblings at home ages 11, 15, and 16 and 1 dog sibling at home. He's good with human cousins as well that are younger and although he is large and strong, he just wants to give a lot of kisses. He loves being parked on a couch or a comfy dog bed, loves to shred a stuffed animal or just gnaw on a bone and he's content. He's a good guard dog and will bark if anyone is at the front door. He will keep your backyard free of pesky rodents, and currently used to having a fenced in yard. Does well with an e-collar, and although he's been living with a sister dog at home it's best he goes into a home where he is the only dog. He is crate trained but also trusted in the house loose at night or if you're leaving home. Thank you for considering!! <3

Story
Howdy Friends! My name is Louie! I am a young good - looking Tree Walker Coonhound Mix. I am currently being cared for at The Doggie Inn , a boarding & training facility while waiting for my new home. I play with all the other doggies & show them what a good swimmer I am! They are all envious of my perfect swimming abilities! We hunt frogs together and lounge around in the sun waiting dreaming of my new home. I hope to have an active human to hike and play with! I play in social dog groups and have daily training exercises to keep me happy & fullfilled. I am 1 1/2 yrs old, super sweet & ready to be your hiking or running partner!. They say I am sooo handsome but they call me Louie so I know I'm a good boy! I am too wonderful to be without a permanent place to crash , So Im looking for a forever family to share a couch with. Looking for an active family, I will continue to be a well-rounded forever friend. I prefer adult kids , no small children as I am not a fan. My outgoing nature makes me a good match for an active adult family who can give me plenty of attention. I love to play ball, (who doesnt!) I amSuper friendly & will steal your heart! I am well behaved and will greet all friends with a playful sprit! Professional Chief Treat Negotiator 🦴on duty! Just ask for Louie & lets meet! Can’t wait to meet Y'all!
