Story
Bindi is a beautiful, intelligent, sweet girl cattle dog (aka red heeler). She is 4 years old. She is unfortunately extremely depressed. I walk her twice a day and take her to doggy daycare twice a week, but it is not enough, and I unfortunately have to spend about 10 hours a day in front of a computer. She needs to be a working dog on a farm or ranch. When she is not active, she lays in place for hours, regularly sighing, breathing loudly and occasionally whimpering. It is very clear that she is miserable, and it seems each day is worse than the last. We love her but are willing to rehome her if it's a situation where she can be an active, working dog. Appreciate your interest!

Story
Beautiful Tri-Pod looking for his forever!- Finn was found as a stray in East Cleveland and his leg was pretty much dead/sloughing off- he was non-weight bearing and was taken to a local Emergency Hospital for evaluation- his outlook was bleak; he would be euthanasized unless rescue stepped up and Remi's certainly made the call. We took him to our vet for another opinion and the leg was not able to be saved; it was amputed within hours. He is now fully recovered and ready to find his furever family. Finn is a wonderful young gentleman and gentle is his middle name! He takes treats gently. Don’t let those three legs fool you! He is an energetic young boy with miles to go! He loves to run and play with his foster brothers. Finn loves to play tug a war and play with squeakie toys. He is not destructive and is learning to be well mannered. Finn knows sit, No and will come when called. Finn is still learning how to walk properly on his lead but is doing much better than when he came in. Say “pen” and he goes into his pen willingly. Finn is currently working on going in and out of door manners. Sitting and waiting before released to go outside. He’s doing very well on this command. Need a couch buddy? He’s your man! Finn is very much a cuddle bug. Finn just needs a lifetime family that will continue to love and care for him. He is made to be your best friend for life!

Story
Meet Arrow! Arrow was born December 4, 2023 and is 6 months old. This little guy is handsome – black and white with all the speckles. Arrow is a mix of spitz, border collie and Mountain Feist. He should remain on the smaller side, less than 35 pounds, when fully grown. Arrow arrived to The Rescue Inn (TRI) in March with his sisters. He’s in foster care now with dogs of all different sizes. Arrow would love a home with other dogs that won’t be offended by his energetic nature and puppy antics. Arrow is looking for an energetic family that will cherish his spunk and will be active with him. A fenced in yard would be perfect for this boy to run around in. Arrow would make a great running or walking partner. Arrow will continue to blossom with guidance and boundaries. He is crate trained and potty trained. Contact TRI at therescueinn@gmail.com or (216) 369-9141 for more information!

Story
This beautiful 2 year old brindle beauty is Violet! Violet is a 2 year old pittie and is full grown at 60 lbs. Violet has such a beautiful soul! She's a very shy girl, but once you spend some time with her and get that first tail wag, your heart will just melt. Violet recently went to the vet and did great at her appointment! It was her first time going to the vet ever, because in her past life she was used for breeding and never got medical done. Violet was quiet and stoic getting all of her shots and even her heartworm test done which was negative. Good job, Violet! Violet recently moved into a foster home where is is doing great! She is learning all of the good things about living in a loving home for the first time. She can't wait to find a forever family who will give her the happy ever after that she deserves. If you'd like more information on Violet, email us at therescueinn@gmail.com or complete an adoption application: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Trevor arrived in July as a last-minute save from an Ohio shelter. While at the shelter, he was dubbed Cappy, but his foster home read him a bunch of names and he picked Trevor from the list. He was so excited when that name was read - it had to be his! He loves being outside in the backyard. He will run and play but mostly just loves being around his people. He'll need some help with loose leash walking but otherwise, he's unperturbed by other people and dogs on his walks, although he does fancy birds. This food-motivated boy is smart and eager to learn. He goes into his crate when asked, knows "sit" and comes when called. His house-training is impeccable, too! In the house, he just wants to be with you. He will get upset when you leave the room, and he isn't able to follow you. He is such a sweetheart and wants to cuddle and give you hugs and kisses. He has come a long way in such a short period of time. He is a love bug and is now going up to everyone and giving them the same love and attention he gives his foster family.
