Story
Cornell was adopted as a puppy from the Athens, Ohio APL by my daughter when she was at student at Ohio University. He is approx 3 years old now. He spent over a year at OU and did a great job socially with all the students he came across. He is a very sweet dog and wants to please our family. Unfortunately there have been incidents where he has been startled or triggered to nip/bite. We put him through training which was successful but the nip/bite has still occurred infrequently. This makes it impossible for me to keep him due to our current home situation. We feel he would thrive in a loving home where he is not frequently startled or exposed to strangers and with an experienced dog owner who can manage such situations. Cornell gets along very well with people and dogs that he knows. I personally have two dogs and my fiancé has four and the seven of them have all melded together perfectly. I attached a photo of a typical evening when they are all together!

Story
Niko is a loving pup. Likes to be independent, but likes to sit in your lap. I bought Niko from a shelter. He has had his shots, he has been neutered. I have his paperwork from the shelter He has been microchipped. He is 18 weeks old. He has had no medical problems. He is a good eater, and likes to take walks, or just be outside. I would love to keep him, but I have to move and my new place does not accept dogs.

Story
Meet CC & Luna — a perfectly matched bonded pair of gentle hearts ready to fill your home with twice the love, twice the comfort, and double the devotion. These two sweet girls found their way to us after their beloved owner was hospitalized and sadly never made it back home. Through it all, they’ve leaned on each other — and now they’re hoping to find a new family where they can stay side by side, just as they’ve always been.Luna, a 6-year-old terrier mix weighing 29 lbs is your ultimate shadow and snuggle buddy. With her jet-black coat dusted in soft white around her muzzle and eyes, she carries a wise, soulful expression that matches her calm, loving nature. She’s the perfect blend of stroll-and-snooze — happy to join you for a nice walk (she’s great on leash!) and just as happy to curl up close for a cozy nap. Luna is wonderfully affectionate, famous for her gentle lean-ins and expert-level butt-scratch requests that are nearly impossible to refuse.CC, a 12-year-young cairn terrier mix who weighs 24 lbs, brings a quiet sweetness with just a touch of spunk. She enjoys her walks too, trotting politely by your side, then settling in for some well-earned relaxation. CC is all about the simple joys: a soft place to rest, a calm environment, and someone kind to share her days with. Her gentle spirit and steady companionship make her the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special. They’re both dog-friendly, used to sharing their space and their hearts, and would do best in a calm, loving home with older, respectful children. (Compatibility with cats is unknown.)Their energy level is low-to-medium, making them ideal companions for a relaxed household that appreciates quiet walks, cozy naps, and the simple joy of having loyal friends nearby. CC will need regular grooming to keep her soft coat looking its best, and both girls are already spayed and microchipped. They’re available through our foster-to-adopt program while they complete their vetting.CC & Luna don’t ask for much — just kindness, comfort, and a place to belong. In return, they’ll give you unwavering companionship, quiet affection, and the kind of bond that only comes from two best friends who love deeply. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet duo, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for CC and Luna. Their adoption fee together is $120.

Story
Appa is a one year old 75% great pyrenees mix. We do not know what he is mixed with. We purchased him from a grain farm as a puppy he has been crate trained, partially potty trained (he has occasional pee accidents). We waited until he was over 1 to have him neutered so that his bones were able to grow strong. He is trained for commands such as sit and stay. He is not aggressive at all. Loves others, protective and would work for any family home.He requires more attention than we can give due to our jobs. We are asking for what we paid for him $0. He has all shots and uptodate license. If you want his kennel and harness we will provide for an additional $150.
