Story
Meet Willie: The Neighborhood Legend Turned Loyal Best Friend! At just 2 years old and 40 pounds, Willie is a handsome Lab mix with a story that could be made into a movie. This clever pup spent quite some time on the run, becoming something of a local celebrity with multiple sightings throughout the neighborhood before finally making his way to safety. Now, Willie is ready to leave his wandering days behind and discover what it`s like to have a family of his very own. When Willie first arrived, he was very underweight and understandably scared. While he`s still a bit shy, one thing is crystal clear: Willie loves being around people. He finds comfort in gentle company, leans in for head scratches, and quietly hopes you`ll stick around a little longer.Willie walks well on leash and currently has a medium energy level, but we think that`s just the beginning. Once he settles into a loving home, gains confidence, and realizes he never has to fend for himself again, we expect his playful side to shine even brighter. One thing we already know for sure? This boy LOVES chasing tennis balls. Toss one his way, and you`ll see his eyes light up with excitement.Willie will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard where he can safely relax, decompress, and establish a predictable routine. Compatibility with dogs, cats, and children is currently unknown. A meet and greet with your resident dog must be made to make sure everyone gets along. Willie is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means you can welcome him home while he completes his routine veterinary care with our shelter veterinarian, including neuter surgery, vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip—everything he needs to begin his next chapter healthy, happy, and loved. If you`re ready to help this former runaway discover the joys of home, please email us at dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online dog adoption application today. His adoption fee is $160. Willie has spent enough time searching for a place to belong. Now he`s hoping that place is with you.

Story
Meet CC & Luna — a perfectly matched bonded pair of gentle hearts ready to fill your home with twice the love, twice the comfort, and double the devotion. These two sweet girls found their way to us after their beloved owner was hospitalized and sadly never made it back home. Through it all, they’ve leaned on each other — and now they’re hoping to find a new family where they can stay side by side, just as they’ve always been.Luna, a 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 29 lbs, is your ultimate shadow and snuggle buddy. With her jet-black coat dusted in soft white around her muzzle and eyes, she carries a wise, soulful expression that matches her calm, loving nature. She’s the perfect blend of stroll-and-snooze — happy to join you for a nice walk (she’s great on leash!) and just as happy to curl up close for a cozy nap. Luna is wonderfully affectionate, famous for her gentle lean-ins and expert-level butt-scratch requests that are nearly impossible to refuse.CC, a 12-year-young cairn terrier mix weighing 24 lbs, brings a quiet sweetness with just a touch of spunk. She enjoys her walks too, trotting politely by your side, then settling in for some well-earned relaxation. CC is all about the simple joys: a soft place to rest, a calm environment, and someone kind to share her days with. Her gentle spirit and steady companionship make her the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special. They’re both dog-friendly, used to sharing their space and their hearts, and would do best in a calm, loving home with older, respectful children. (Compatibility with cats is unknown.)Their energy level is low-to-medium, making them ideal companions for a relaxed household that appreciates quiet walks, cozy naps, and the simple joy of having loyal friends nearby. CC will need regular grooming to keep her soft coat looking its best, and both girls are already spayed and microchipped. They’re available through our foster-to-adopt program while they complete their vetting.CC & Luna don’t ask for much — just kindness, comfort, and a place to belong. In return, they’ll give you unwavering companionship, quiet affection, and the kind of bond that only comes from two best friends who love deeply. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet duo, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for CC and Luna. Their adoption fee together is $120.

Story
Meet Mylo! Mylo is an 11-month-old Schnauzer weighing 16 pounds, and this adorable little guy is bursting with puppy energy, personality, and charm! Through no fault of his own, Mylo came to us as an owner surrender and is now searching for a family ready to embrace all the fun that comes with a young Schnauzer. This baby is all puppy—playful, friendly, and always ready for his next adventure. Mylo has a high energy level and loves being around children. Whether it`s playing fetch, going for walks, running in the yard, or joining in on family activities, Mylo is happiest when he`s on the move and included in the action. As a true Schnauzer, Mylo is loyal, confident, intelligent, and just a little bit opinionated. Schnauzers are famous for having plenty to say, and Mylo proudly carries on that tradition. He`ll happily let you know when someone is at the door, when a leaf blows by, or sometimes just because he feels like sharing his thoughts. Because of his vocal nature, apartment living is not the best fit for this spirited little firecracker. Mylo is packed with spunk, personality, and enough entertainment to keep you laughing every day. He will require regular grooming to keep his handsome Schnauzer looks in tip-top shape.A meet and greet with any resident canine is required. Cat compatibility is currently unknown.Mylo is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows him to live in your home while he completes his veterinary care. This includes neuter surgery, microchipping, heartworm testing, and vaccinations. If you`re ready to welcome this lovable, energetic, and endlessly entertaining sweetheart into your family, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete a dog adoption application online. Mylo`s adoption fee is $200. Come meet Mylo—he`s ready to keep you on your toes, fill your home with laughter, and become your loyal best friend.

Story
This is a courtesy post only. Gia is NOT at our shelter.Meet Gia! Gia’s mom is a senior who recently fell ill and is unable to care for her properly and wants Gia to have a good home.Gia is a 10-15 lb Italian Grey hound/Chi mix and is thought to be 1 1/2 years old. Gia was found as a stray before she was adopted from PAS earlier this year. She is up-to-date on all her vetting, including vaccines and spay and she`s microchipped. Gia loves to cuddle, but also enjoys her exercise on long walks. Gia is house broken and crate trained if you decide to go that route but she is also reliable to roam the house went left alone. Gia loves to snuggle and she loves people. She would likely do best as the only pet as she can be jealous of others having her people’s attention. If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl, please contact 440-668-7212 to set up an appointment.
