Story
Meet Storm: A Princess in Training. Storm may have a big, beautiful name, but this gorgeous white American Bulldog mix is really just a 7-month-old puppy looking for her happily-ever-after. She weighs around 28 lbs. Storm was found as a stray and, sadly, no one came looking for her. But this sweet girl hasn’t let that dampen her spirits. She is happy, friendly, grateful, and ready to soak up all the love she can get. Storm is a little on the thin side right now, so she’s working on gaining some healthy weight. She’s very much still a puppy and believes that if something is happening, she should absolutely be involved. With a medium-high energy level, Storm enjoys walks in the park, playing with toys, and hanging out with her people. She’s perfectly happy entertaining herself, but she’s even happier when she gets to be right there with you. Storm would benefit from some basic obedience training to help her learn to walk pretty on leash and polish up her puppy manners. She’s smart, eager to please, and ready to learn. She has shown potential to live with other dogs, but as always, a meet-and-greet with any resident dog is required to make sure everyone is a good match. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Storm is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program. You can welcome this sweet girl into your home while she completes her vetting, including vaccines, microchip, heartworm testing, and spay.Storm has been waiting for someone to see what a special girl she is. She’s ready to trade her stray days for couch cuddles, fun adventures, squeaky toys, and a family who will treat her like the princess she deserves to be. If you think Storm might be your girl, email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete an online dog adoption application to meet her. Storm’s adoption fee is $160. Storm is ready to reign over her forever kingdom. Could your home be her castle?

Story
Walter is a good dog. He’s going on 7 years old and has lived with me since he was a puppy. He loves humans and loves attention I just can’t be there enough for him and it makes him anxious. He wants to be with you 24-7, will follow you around the house and sit next to you all day long. He lives with just me and the cat but work is making me come into the office and he doesn’t deserve to be in a crate for 12-15 hours a day. It’s not fair. I’d really need to find someone who will love him and be home. Can deliver him to a good home.

Story
Meet Chloe! Big dog. Big personality. BIG fan of having fun. At 83 pounds, Chloe is not exactly a lap dog… although she may have some differing opinions on that. This beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd/Doberman mix has the classic coloring of a Shepherd, a unique tailless tush, and a whole lot of love to give.Chloe was adopted from us about two years ago, and sadly, she has recently found herself back at the shelter because her owner`s health issues made it impossible to continue caring for her. But don`t let her second chance fool you—this girl is ready to get back to the good life. And what a wonderful family dog she is. Chloe lived happily with another German Shepherd and was reported to be great with children. Because Chloe is a big, energetic girl, we feel older children would be the best fit. She is also wonderfully behaved in the home. Her family never needed to crate her because Chloe could be trusted to roam the house like the good girl she is. She`s also reported to be housetrained.Chloe is an active girl`s girl and would LOVE a family that enjoys doing things. Long walks? YES. Hiking adventures? ABSOLUTELY. Running around the yard? SIGN HER UP. Agility? LET`S GO! She`s smart, athletic, and eager to have a job to do. Give Chloe a family that wants to keep her body and brain busy, and you`re going to have one happy Shepherd mix. There is one important thing you should know about Chloe: she has prey drive. Rabbits, deer, squirrels, and basically anything else that scurries, darts, or runs away can activate her inner Olympic sprinter. Because of this, Chloe requires a physically fenced-in yard. A fence will allow her to safely enjoy outdoor time without turning every backyard critter into her next personal chase challenge. Her compatibility with cats is unknown, so a cat-free home may be the safest choice. If you do have cats, please keep Chloe`s prey drive firmly in mind.Chloe is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome her into your home while she completes her veterinary care. She`s already spayed and microchipped, so she`s ready to start her next chapter. To add this beautiful girl to your family, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete an online dog adoption application. Chloe`s adoption fee is $160.Chloe has already had a loving home, and now she`s hoping for the forever family who will give her the active, happy life she deserves. If
