Story
3 year old golden doodle. 65 lbs. High energy and loves to play. Very good with other dogs has lived with a small dog its whole life. Has also been around large dogs. Very good behavior until our 1 year old son was born. She started to get aggressive towards my wife very often. Has never bit anyone only would growl and bark towards her. She has always been very good with the baby. Just don’t want to take the chance of something happening to the baby one day. Looking for a good home that could give her a lot of attention.

Story
Please NOTE: Cinnamon is not at the shelter. She is in a foster home. Looking for a feisty cuddle buddy? Meet our Cinnamon! Cinnamon is a female terrier mix that weighs around 63 pounds and is approximately 2  years old. This fun-sized gal came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own. This girl has the most beautiful swirly colors in her velvety coat. She knows only one emotion and that is utter happiness. Cinnamon is playful, curious, high energy, and happy as a clam at all times. Her tail wags a mile a minute. She can pull on leash but she walks well for the most part. Cinnamon would love life even more if she could have a yard and toys and a family to dote on her. She loves children. Older children are best because of her size. She has had no exposure to cats. She has good potential with other dogs. As always, a meet and greet is required for resident dogs. Cinnamon is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes her vetting which includes vaccines and heartworm testing. She is already spayed and microchipped. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Cinnamon. Cinnamon’s adoption fee is $160. Story
ROCKY IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT PHYSICALLY AT THE SHELTER.    Rocky is a male mountain feist mix that weighs 43 pounds and is around 4.5 years old.  He has a nub for a tail.  He has beautiful coat of white and tan colors.  Rocky came to us as an owner surrender when his owners went into hospice care.  A wonderful neighbor stepped up to foster Rocky until he can find his own forever home.  In the home, Rocky is just awesome.  He is dog friendly, he is currently being fostered with two pugs.  Rocky loves to play.  His body is always wiggling because he is so happy.  He enjoys car rides and wouldn’t mind a cross country RV trip to see the country.  He is very active and also enjoys running and walking.  When it is time to relax, he is more than willing to be your cuddle buddy.  Compatibility with cats is unknown.  Older children are fine only because his zest for life may knock down the little ones unintentionally.  Rocky is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he has completed all his vetting which includes vaccinations, microchip and heartworm testing. He is already neutered. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org to meet Rocky and/or complete an adoption application online.  Rocky’s adoption fee is $160.  Fostering saves dogs’ lives.  Because of Rocky’s foster, he is ready to start the next chapter in his life and we are here for it.            Like Parma Animal Shelter on FACEBOOK and help pass the word about our adoptable guests!  Don't forget to share pictures with your friends!  Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/ParmaAnimalShel   Submit an application to adopt on our website parmashelter.org           April 19, 2024, 1:40 pm

Story
Joey is currently in a foster home. He is NOT at the shelter.  Joey is such a fun guy. Joey is a male cattle dog mix that weighs 45 pounds. He is approximately 2 years old. He originally came to us as a transfer from a neighboring shelter. This guy is fun, fun, fun. He is a high energy dog that will thrive with daily walks, hikes, or fun adventures. He will need a strong handler because he can pull on walks. He can also jump high so a high fenced in yard is recommended. Joey has giant radar ears that make him look so cute and lovable. Joey is dog and cat friendly. As always, a meet and greet with any resident canine is required. Cattle dogs love having jobs to do. Dogs that love to play all day long are Joey’s jam. Older kids are fine for Joey. Please do your research on the breed before adopting. Joey is neutered, HW tested, microchipped, and has had all his vaccines. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org to meet Joey and/or complete an adoption application online. Joey’s adoption fee is $160.

Story
Haven is currently in a foster home and NOT at the shelter. Meet our sweet boy Haven! Haven is a 9-10 year old male Boxer mix that weighs around 60 lbs. pounds.  We do not know much about his history but we can tell you that he has been a perfect gentleman at the shelter.  He has a caramel brown brindle coat that glistens in the sun.  He has a medium energy level.  He walks well on leash.  His kennel is always clean and he knows several commands.  When he is happy, he howls.  He is missing the home life.  Haven is gentle and loves to be near his person.  Haven would be perfect in any household that is willing to provide him love and companionship.  Older children are fine.  He is dog friendly. Compatibility with cats is unknown.  A meet and greet is required with any resident canines.  Haven is available for our foster to adopt program.  This means that you can foster Haven in your home until he is all done with his routine vetting through the Shelter.  After that, you can formally adopt Haven.  Haven will be vaccinated, tested for heartworm disease, and microchipped.  Haven is already neutered.  If you want to adopt Haven, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Haven.  Haven’s adoption fee is $85.  Haven is so deserving of a good home where he can live out his life safe and happy.
