Story
You may have heard of CITY DOG Suzy. She is a bit of a celebrity around the Cleveland area-she's been on the news multiple times, graced the cover of Cleveland Magazine and much more. You can check out all her shenanigans on her IG & FB profiles-Just look up CITY DOG Suzy. She actually came into the kennel over 3 years ago. When she first arrived, Suzy had an infected mass which we sent her to the vet to have removed. Unfortunately, the biopsy revealed that Suzy had mammary cancer. She was only expected to live 3-6 months, so a CITY DOGS Volunteer took her home as a hospice foster. Flash forward 3+ years and now it is time to find Suzy her forever home! She is thriving, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon after beating cancer. She is healthy and active. After multiple vet checks, no recurrence or symptoms of her cancer have come back. Suzy LOVES people of all ages. She has never met a person she didn't love and enjoys showering them with kisses. But she would need to be the only pet in the home, so no other dogs, cats or small animals for her. She knows sit & paw and takes treats nicely. She has energy to take on adventures but also does awesome in a home snuggling up on the couch with you. When at home she mostly enjoys looking out the window or sunning herself in the backyard. She is 100% housebroken & crate trained, but doesn't need to be crated if you prefer not to. In the right environment would also do great as a condo/apartment dog. She also loves going for car rides and feeling the wind through her ears--HAVE YOU SEEN THOSE EARS? They are her signature feature. Suzy is on the petite side, just under 50lbs and is around 7-8 years old. If you would like to find out more about Suzy or are interested in meeting her, please complete the Meet & Greet form on www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog

Story
Work hard, play hard? More like play hard, snuggle hard. That's Smokey's personal philosophy. Currently in a foster home, Smokey has shown he is happiest on brisk walks, zooming around a fenced yard or playing with his favorite jolly ball toy. When it's time to chill, Smokey is the biggest cuddle bug you've ever seen. He will happily be your weighted blanket or work from home office companion. Since settling into his foster home, Smokey is housebroken, crate trained and very smart! He is food motivated and loves learning new tricks. After slow introductions, Smokey peacefully lives with 2 resident dogs. He is a wrestling, rowdy player, so he might overwhelm more laid back dogs. If you like to keep moving, but love to relax and snuggle at the end of the day, Smokey is definitely the dog for you! He weighs 53lbs and is approximately 4 years old.Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!

Story
Dara is a hoot, but also a homebody, and she is the type of girl who would love to be in her jammies back at home by 8pm. Currently living in a foster home, Dara has shown that she is a great cuddler whose favorite place might just be bundled up in bed. She will even bark to let you know when it's bedtime and she wants a snuggle. She's not totally lazy, though. She has a nice, moderate activity level, with bursts of silly zoomie energy on occasion. She enjoys walks and hikes, and is working on being a tugboat on leash - she will at least help you up the hills. Her signature move is wriggling her dumpling self around on her back, partly for the joy of it and partly in case you want to give her belly rubs. Dara could be a little timid meeting new people and visiting new places at first, and she's really come into her own and her goofy personality shines in a home environment. So if you too feel like a bit of an introvert and are looking for a kindred spirit, Dara is your gal. She is also good in her crate, and totally housebroken. She is estimated to be around 4 years old.Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to schedule a meet!

Story
Theo has a majestic exterior and a goofball core. Currently in a foster home, Theo has really been coming out of his shell. Though he can still be a little uncertain in new situations, his silly personality really shines in a home. Even though he is quite regal and stoic when posing for photos, he's a total goober at heart. He totally goofy and derpy in play, especially when the zoomies kick in.Overall, while he enjoys some activity, Theo makes a great hang-out buddy back at home. He's happy to plant himself with you on the couch to catch up on your favorite show. He is pretty well-mannered in the home, as he is housebroken, crate-trained, and fairly quiet. He knows how to sit and is food-motivated and a good listener, so he seems quite trainable if you want him to learn more. He bonds closely with his people: once you're in his club, he is super affectionate. Theo does well hanging out with the older, low-key dog in his foster home, but we believe he would enjoy having his people all to himself. He would needs a home without cats. He is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs a lean 60 lbs.Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!

Story
Winona is a plump, wiggly, love bug! Currently living in a foster home, Winona has shown that she is spunky and personable, and is a great mix of playful and snuggly. She can go from bopping around with toys one minute to plopping down into her signature sploot the next. Even though she's a portly 70bs, Winona thinks she's a lap dog. She does appear to have had training in the past as she is housebroken and knows basic commands like sit. Jolly Winona adores people and wants to spend as much time with you as possible! She can be crated or left alone and isn't destructive, but is chatty if she knows you're home and not with her. She seems to feel most comfortable when she has a routine that she knows. Winona has been social with other dogs in play group, but gets excited at first and can come on strong so needs some time/a tolerant buddy to adjust best. She needs a home without cats. So if you're looking for a moderately active companion who will just be happy as heck to see you whenever you come home, Winona is your gal. Winona is estimated to be around four years old.Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to schedule a meet with Winona!Plus, if you have an Instagram, be sure to follow her on adopt_city_dog_winona for lots of additional adorable content!

Story
Meet Eduardo the gentleman! This literal golden boy has a lot to brag about on his resume. Currently living in a foster home, he has shown that he is a big sweetheart and well-mannered house guest! Eduardo has clearly had some training in the past as he knows sit, paw, down, stay and come so far. He is very tuned into his person, and also is quite food-motivated, making him quick and eager to learn even more. He is also fine being left alone in a crate or a room of his own, and he is housebroken. Curious but attentive, playful but easy-going, Eduardo makes for nice company. He is definitely a cuddler! He's also athletic and adventurous, making him a great companion for getting out and about to explore. Eduardo has potential to live with other dogs so long as he has time to get comfortable, but he is looking for a home without cats. Eduardo weighs 59 lbs and is estimated to be around 3 years old.Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!
