Story
Before her rescue, Ripley was a devoted mom to a litter of puppies. Now, it’s finally her turn to be pampered and spoiled. She loves people and greets everyone with tail wags and enthusiasm—sometimes a little too much excitement, but with some gentle reminders, she’s quick to learn. Ripley is a spirited, high-energy 3-year-old who’s ready to find a forever home that matches her zest for life! This athletic girl lives for movement—she loves to run, play, and will gleefully destroy any toy that crosses her path. She’s fantastic with other dogs and adores children, making her a great match for an active family with kids or playful pups. Ripley thrives in a home that’s always on the go—whether it’s hikes, runs, or backyard zoomies, she’s all in. A quiet, laid-back lifestyle just isn’t her thing; she’s looking for a household that’s as energetic as she is. Ripley is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands like “sit.” She’s also super smart and very treat-motivated, so training is a breeze with the right snacks and consistency. Important note: Ripley cannot be in a home with cats or small animals. She has a strong prey drive and takes her “squirrel patrol” duties very seriously—your yard will be rodent-free! If your home is filled with energy, love, and adventure, Ripley just might be your perfect match. Ready to make her part of your pack? ##2223382##

Story
I got Missy from a family who had to find a home for her due to eviction. She turned 6 November 1st. I am looking for a home that has a fenced in yard where she can run and play. She is very friendly and loyal. Please see below for more information. I am 74years old and live in Lorain Ohio. I need to rehome my 6 year old vizslador due to declining health issues. I am not able to care for her the way she needs to be. Her name is Missy. She is completely housebroken and has been spayed. She needs her shots updated which I can no longer afford. She does not like being alone or caged and has separation anxiety. She gets along with everyone including children. She does not do well with cats, but does get along with some dogs. She needs a home with yard where she can run and play. She has no health issues that I am aware of. She has been scratching which might be fleas, but I have not seen any on her. However, I am still treating her for fleas.

Story
Hi, I’m Jaxx 💙 I’m almost 7 years old, and if I had to pick one word to describe myself, it would be loyal. I listen well, I love deeply, and I’ll never turn down a good game of fetch. In fact, my favorite thing in the whole world is my ball—I’ll happily chase it for as long as you’ll throw it, and then I’ll carry it proudly in my mouth like it’s my baby. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I was rescued once already, and now, because of circumstances beyond my control, I’m searching for a forever home again. My family is heartbroken—they call me part of their family, but housing changes mean I can’t stay with them. They just want me to be safe, happy, and loved. Here’s what you should know about me: 🐾 I adore kids of all ages—I’ve grown up alongside them and I’m gentle and patient. 🐾 I prefer women and children, but I can warm up to men with time and kindness. 🐾 I’m well-behaved, crate trained, and sleep peacefully on my dog bed. 🐾 I’m leash-trained (though sometimes I get excited and pull a little). 🐾 I love people—neighbors say I’m wonderfully behaved. If I could design the perfect day, it would be running in an open field, chasing my ball, and getting a few tasty treats before curling up for cuddles with my family. I’m not looking for much—just someone who will love me, play ball with me, and promise I won’t ever have to lose my home again. Could that someone be you?

Story
Manny was born July 17, 2024. We adopted him the end of September 2024. He is a pure breed German Shepherd, current on all vaccines and currently still intact. Manny lives with 6 kids, two dogs and three cats. He believes he is a small dog I think, he was raised with two little dogs who still intimidate him even though they are a fraction of his size now. I believe he has fear aggression and lacks confidence. I am not an experienced dog trainer and with 6 kids I never will be. I cannot take him anywhere without a muzzle and we cannot have anyone to our home without locking him up. This brakes my heart. He is so kind, and goofy with us, but the minute he sees a stranger instant fear, retreat but also real aggression. He needs someone who can help him build confidence, teach him to not be afraid, that people just want to play with him. He is incredibly smart and still young so there is hope! If I had the time and the money I would do it, I just do not. Someone please help Manny.

Story
It's been quite the Journey—in fact, that's where I got my name. Neglected, starved and left in an outdoor kennel with no covering for the first 12+ months of my life, a humane officer brought me an Ohio dog pound where I served 17+ months. Now I’m living in a foster home learning to live in a house, be on a schedule, and lots of love. Follow me @DeafDogJourney on Instagram. I might be an American Bulldog Terrier mix. I have a heart-shaped spot on my side, a diamond around my eye, and my eyeliner is always on fleek. I'm DEAF, but I know how to sit by touch, and come by signal. If I like you, I LOVE you. I prefer not to be alone and I’m very affectionate. I learned how to chew on a bone, not fear the bathtub, and recently passed my cat test. I do not have a bite history or show any signs of food aggression. I love daily walks and jogging with you. I do pull on the leash, and I'm very STRONG, so you need to be a strong, patient handler. It takes quite of bit of walking to get me tired. I will need leash/deaf training. I'm a happy dog, but unfortunately, I don't like everybody. I'm stranger reactive and dog selective, so in-person meet-and-greets with me are required. I will bark at new people and new dogs. I would do best in a home with no other dogs, but the right female sibling MIGHT be OK. Kids usually bring other kids around, so because I'm stranger reactive, a home without kids is best. I love the water, but I'm prone to ear infections. Fetch isn't my thing, and I get itchies from the grass. Finding any home is easy—finding the right permanent home is hard. My team is determined to make sure the rest of my Journey is a happy one. An adopter a few hours of Zanesville, Ohio is not required, but preferred for a pre-home visit. I require a strong, protective pawrent who knows I can be unpredictable with strangers and dogs, and can dedicate time to training.
