Story
Ruby was found dumped by previous owners. We have fostered her for 2 years and desperately need to find her a new home because of our situation. She is a sweet girl that loves to play and cuddle. She is shy at first, but then overly loving. Her underbite makes her stand out from the rest as it will make you laugh all the time. Her sweet face always changes.

Story
We're looking for a loving home for Rain, a sweet, energetic one-year-old with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She's equally happy curled up on the couch as she is running around the yard—a true companion. Rain is smart and highly food motivated, which makes her a great learner. She already knows sit, wait, paw, and lay down, and she picks up new commands quickly. She's fully potty trained, crate trained, and comfortable in a home routine. She is fixed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. She still has her puppy moments. She surfs the counters and can be protective of her home and her people—she's gone after some dogs walking by, though not all trigger her. A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred. She'll thrive with an owner who can give her consistent training, daily exercise, and plenty of attention. Rain has so much love to give and all the potential to become an incredible companion—she just needs the right person to bring it out in her.

Story
Meet Scarlett!! Scarlett is a cranky senior, 11 years old, who has not had a great life! She originally came from the Lorain County Kennel as a stray. She had a skin infection from fleas, double ear infections and basically no hair on her back. Fast forward after some TLC all her hair has grown in, and her ears have been treated. She is spayed and completely vaccinated. We had an x-rays done to see if she had any back issues that would explain her fear of being picked up, but the Doctor said she just had some age-related arthritis. Scarlett is 32 Lbs. (should weigh about 28#). Scarlett is house-trained, crate-trained, and is a well-behaved house dog. Scarlett is looking for the right person to love her how she is and understand that she is looking for a roommate who will just let her live out the rest of her golden years. Scarlett is NOT a lap dog, and she will not tolerate being picked up. We think something in her past has made her very reactive to being picked up. She is a bossy Terrier mix, at first, but once she trusts you, she will seek pets on her terms. Scarlett is looking for someone that just wants a house dog to watch TV with and just hang out. She needs a fenced in yard so she can have the freedom to wonder around. She does well with other dogs and will even engage play, once she is comfortable with them. She has been conditioned to wear a muzzle when grooming or vetting was required. She tolerates the muzzle, once she trusts you. She has never bitten anyone but will try to snap if you try to pick her up. She is very food and treat motivated so she will respond to going into her crate for a treat and does not mind traveling in a crate, in the car. Scarlett just needs an experienced owner with no kids because kids would want to pick her up. If you are interested in Scarlett, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Scarlett would be a good match for you. Adoption fee/donation is $50.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Story
Meet Onyx!! Onyx is a 3 yr old mix breed weighing 65 lbs. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands (sit, stay, down). Onyx is very smart and sure sweet! He walks okay on lead but could use some training. Onyx is friendly with everyone he meets, including dogs. Due to his large size, we feel he would do best in a home with children over the age of 10 years old. Onyx is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He has beautiful eyes and a wonderful personality! A fenced in yard is best for Onyx, so he can have the freedom to run and play! If you are interested in Onyx, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Onyx would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $200.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. Story
Hi world, I’m Skye 🌤️ I’m just a baby, but I already have a pretty big story. Not long ago, I was alone and stuck in a drain in Houston. It was dark and scary, and I don’t know how I got there 🥺 I don’t know how long I waited. But I do know that some really amazing humans didn’t give up on me. Because of them… I’m here. I’m safe. 💛 What we didn’t know then is that my mama is Winter, the sweet, brave girl who was saved from a busy shelter. Somehow, we got separated. Things happened so fast that no one even knew I was there. My daddy was there too… and he didn’t make it out. I never got the chance to know him, but I carry a little piece of him with me every single day. This second chance I have? It’s for him too. 🤍 The best part of my story is that I’m back with my mama. Being reunited with her feels like sunshine after a storm ⛈️ When we curl up together, it’s like the world makes sense again 🥹 Now that I’m safe in foster care, you’re getting to see the real me. And let me tell you… I have a LOT of life to live ☺️ I’m happy, friendly, and full of puppy energy. Adventure? Yes please! I absolutely love other dogs and look to them to help me learn the ropes. If there’s playtime happening, I don’t care if I’m the smallest one there, I’m jumping right in! I don’t like feeling left out. I want to be where the fun and the love are. I’m working really hard on potty training. Sometimes when I get super excited, I forget to tell foster mom I need to go out… oops. But I’m trying! I sleep through the night in my crate like a good girl, even though, between us, I’d much rather be snuggled up in the big bed with my humans. I LOVE to cuddle. Like… professional-level cuddler 🥰 In a safe place, I’m fearless. I’m learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’m learning that hands can be gentle, beds can be soft, and love can be forever. They call me a miracle. I don’t really know what that means… I just know I’m here, I’m loved, and my story is only just beginning. Maybe my forever family is reading this right now. Maybe you’re the next chapter. 💫

Story
Dear Future Family, Our names are Rose and Reba ♥️ We don’t know your names yet, but we already hope you’re kind, patient, and maybe a little obsessed with dogs, because that would work out really well for all of us 🥹 We’re five and six year old Rottweiler girls who have done life side by side for as long as we can remember ☺️ Same walks, same beds, same “did you hear that noise?” moments 🙃 When we landed in a high kill shelter together and found ourselves on the euthanasia list together we held on separately but somehow, we made it out together, thankfully because doing hard things alone just didn’t feel like an option 💕 People think we may be mom and daughter. Rose being the mom and Reba being the kid and honestly that makes a lot of sense. We love each other deeply, but like kids sometimes do they want your attention 😅 Not in a mean way just in a hey, don’t forget about me too kind of way 🤗 Because of that, we might do best as the only dogs in a home if we stay together, so we can soak up all the love without having to share our humans. Individually We’re great with other dogs and fit in just fine🐾 We actually even got adopted together, and for a little while, we thought we were home for good 🥹 Turns out going from zero dogs to two Rottweilers is a big jump. No one was wrong, it was just a lot. So here we are again, trying to be brave, wagging anyway, believing our story isn’t done yet 📖✏️ We’re actually pretty easy girls. We love walks, naps, soft beds, and being wherever you are 💕 If you sit, we’ll sit closer. If you move rooms, we’ll follow. Personal space is going to have to be flexible in our household. We’re sweet with kids, friendly with other dogs, and very serious about our job as loyal companions. Cats, however, should probably keep their distance we admire them a little too much from afar 🐈‍⬛👀 If you have the experience and heart for two Rottweilers, we would love to stay together. We know how to share a couch, a water bowl, and a lifetime of inside jokes 😆 But if our forever looks like two separate homes with the right people, we understand that too 😊 What matters most is finally knowing we won’t have to pack our bags again 🧳 We’re not puppies anymore. We just want to spend the rest of our years loving someone who loves us back just as hard. If you choose us so whether that means one of us or both of us we promise devotion, laughter, warm cuddles, and at least one dramatic Rottweiler lean per day. Probably more. We don’t measure those 📏♥️ We hope our future family is reading this and we hope to meet you soon! Love, Rose & Reba 🖤🐾 📍Houston , Texas Transport is available 🚙 💌Please apply at realrottweilerrescue.com
