Story
Meet Lily!! A very sweet and gentle Portuguese Water Dog. Lily is almost 6 years old, DOB 12-31-20. She weighs 33 lbs. Love-A-Stray had her spayed, completely vaccinated, and she is micro-chipped.
Her Story:
Lily came from an Amish puppy mill, where human contact wasn’t always kind. Because of that, she can be shy at first meeting — she’ll sniff you, stay close, and keep her distance a bit until she’s sure you won’t hurt her. Once that trust is built, her fun, happy-go-lucky personality shines through. She has zero aggression in her; if something scares her, she’ll simply remove herself from the situation rather than react.
The Good Stuff:
Lily gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and people alike. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention — ready to settle into her new life without a hitch.
Her Dream Home:
More than anything, Lily wants a canine sibling to share her days with, and people who understand that love, for her, is built slowly and gently. Give her that patience, and you’ll have a loyal, cuddly companion who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you on the couch or in bed. Lily would love a canine companion that wants to interact with her.
If you have the space, the fenced yard, and the tender heart Lily needs — she might just be your perfect match.
