Story
Beautiful Tri-Pod looking for his forever!- Finn was found as a stray in East Cleveland and his leg was pretty much dead/sloughing off- he was non-weight bearing and was taken to a local Emergency Hospital for evaluation- his outlook was bleak; he would be euthanasized unless rescue stepped up and Remi's certainly made the call. We took him to our vet for another opinion and the leg was not able to be saved; it was amputed within hours. He is now fully recovered and ready to find his furever family. Finn is a wonderful young gentleman and gentle is his middle name! He takes treats gently. Don’t let those three legs fool you! He is an energetic young boy with miles to go! He loves to run and play with his foster brothers. Finn loves to play tug a war and play with squeakie toys. He is not destructive and is learning to be well mannered. Finn knows sit, No and will come when called. Finn is still learning how to walk properly on his lead but is doing much better than when he came in. Say “pen” and he goes into his pen willingly. Finn is currently working on going in and out of door manners. Sitting and waiting before released to go outside. He’s doing very well on this command. Need a couch buddy? He’s your man! Finn is very much a cuddle bug. Finn just needs a lifetime family that will continue to love and care for him. He is made to be your best friend for life!

Story
Hello! This is Wally, he is a 1-year-old mixed breed. He is not neutered yet, but I am working on getting this done. He was recently adopted from a shelter, previous owner was going to return him to the shelter, but I took him in to basically foster until he finds his forever home. He is such a good boy, super sweet, and has the best wiggle butts! Takes treats very gently, hardly barks, loves to play and go for car rides! He is potty trained. Walks good on the leash. Good with both cats and dogs. I think he would do best in a home with another dog, or even kids to play with. Shots are up to date through the shelter, and I have those records. Not aggressive in the slightest, I can rough house him and take things out of his mouth and he doesnt mind. He just needs to be taught some manners but then I am positive he will become your best friend! Give this sweet boy his furever home!!

Story
Greetings from our big boy in residence, Xander. Xander is a male 1-2 year old Akita. Xander weighs 87 pounds. Xander was found as a stray and no one claimed this majestic dog. The Akita is a dog breed that comes from ancient Japanese lines famous for its loyalty and courage. The Akita is a dog breed known for its protective qualities. He is not for first time dog owners. Xander is huge and will require a strong handler both in spirit and in person. He heeds his handler and walks well on leash. The Akita breed can seem aloof but bonds strongly with his family. Experience with the Akita breed is required. A fenced in yard is also required. Xander is happy with a stroll in the park or a game of catch. We are not saying that he will catch the ball every time but he will definitely try his best to find the ball. Because he is a stray, we don't know if Xander is compatible with other dogs or cats. Older children are best based on Xander's giant size. Xander is a goofy and happy fellow. He is just waiting for a home. Xander is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and/or fill out an online dog adoption application to meet Xander. Xander's adoption fee is $160.

Story
Grey is such a bro. Grey is a male American Staffordshire terrier that weighs 61 pounds. He is estimated to be 2 years old. Grey was found as a stray and no one claimed him. He was very thin upon intake and just plain sad. In the few weeks that he has been with us, he has eaten and gotten much needed TLC. He has gained some weight and is overall a body wiggle pro. He is very strong on leash and would benefit from general obedience and manners. He is a full upper body workout. He will work your core, shoulders, back and patience. His giant blockhead is almost as big as his heart. He is very loving and friendly. He loves to be outside. A fenced in yard is ideal for Grey. He has a medium energy level. Because he was a stray, we don't know anything about Grey's background. Compatibility with children, cats, and dogs is unknown; no small children please. At the shelter, he is unphased by the other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with your dog is required. Grey is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Grey. Grey's adoption fee is $160. Grey is the type of dog that will gladly accompany you on the couch to watch movies. But when you get up to get a snack, you gotta find another spot to sit because he has taken over the whole couch. Such a bro. He can be adopted outside of Parma.

Story
Kenra is a gorgeous female one-year old shepherd/Airedale mix that weighs around 65 pounds. We pulled Kenra from the City of Cleveland Kennel. Kenra is a very spirited high energy gal that will need to learn all the basics-walking on a leash, general manners and housetraining. Kenra and her brother KC were mainly kept outside before coming to our shelter. She enjoys everyone, seems to be dog friendly and is overall very happy. She also has a tendency to jump on you and can be a barker. Kenra really enjoys playing and chasing tennis balls. A meet and greet with your resident dog is required to make sure everyone gets along. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Older children are preferred because we don't want Kenra knocking over the little ones unintentionally. Kenra is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes her vetting which includes spay, vaccines, heartworm testing and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and/or fill out an online dog adoption application to meet Kenra. Kenra's adoption fee is $160.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Guinness is a male boxer mix that weighs 40 pounds. He is estimated to be 2 years old. Guinness was found as a stray and no one claimed him. Even though Guinness is very skinny and has a few lumps, he is grateful to be at the shelter where he is receiving good food and TLC. We don't know his background but we have assured Guinness that it is only the best for the rest. He can be strong on leash but walks well for the most part. He has shown great potential with other dogs. As always, you must make an appointment to meet Guinness with your resident dogs to make sure everyone gets along. Guinness is a barker. He has a medium energy level and would thoroughly enjoy a fenced in yard. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Guinness is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Guinness. Guinness's adoption fee is $160.
