Story
This is Bailey. It absolutely break my heart to have to even think about this. We have had him since he was one when we rescued him. Bailey sometimes will do well with other dogs, but it is not a guarantee. Bailey will hang out with all the cats. We will not allow an adoption to anyone who has small children as that is why we are rehoming him. To adopt Bailey, you must have experience, take him for walks, and be willing to give him all the snuggles. He has not bitten anyone, ever, but would not want it to get to that point. Bailey has been attacked by other dogs at doggy day cares and no longer allows anyone to cut his nails after a grooming salon tied him down to a table and left a quarter sized burn on his back. Bailey has to be sedated to nail trims. This is absolutely one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and never thought I would be in this position in my life. He’s very much my best friend and this is the absolute hardest thing I have ever had to do.

Meet Doug. We are helping his family rehome him. Doug is 6 years old and is a Beagle/Jack Russell mix. He is a perfect size at only 29 pounds. Doug is on inexpensive thyroid medicine and medicine for seizures. He will need a home without young children. Doug should have a cat free home but can have a submissive canine companion. If interested in Doug, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  Christine 330 979 7397    May 22, 2025, 9:01 pm

Meet Moana. She is a 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. Moana weighs 43 lbs. She came from a household who had other dogs and is now in a foster with dogs and does great. She is also very good with respectful children. Moana is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She just needs a 4dx test which is scheduled for 1/9. UPDATE: Her test was negative for everything. We do want an adopter to have a fenced yard and maybe some breed knowledge. She was an also housebroken. Her adoption fee is $250. If interested in Moana, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. Moana is a wonderful dog.   January 9, 2026, 5:56 pm

Story
Meet Daisy Mae. She was purchased for some crazy amount from someone who had no clue. She was given away after a few days and a few days after that was rescued from an acquaintance who couldn’t stand the way she was being treated. That person reached out to us for help. Poor baby.  She does have papers for what that is worth. Daisy Mae is a Lemon Beagle and is only about 16 weeks old as of 1/3/26.  She was born 9/11/25. Daisy Mae is currently only about 13-15 lbs. She is great with other dogs and cats. Should be fine with respectful children. Due to her breed, a fenced yard is required.  She has had her age appropriate vaccines and will be spayed in February or March along with any other needed vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250. If interested in Daisy Mae, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: Please do not show interest if there is no fenced yard or if you are not consistent with heartworm prevention.       January 20, 2026, 4:27 pm
