Story
Blue is a sweet senior Lab who deserves a calm and patient home. He has some challenges: he experiences anxiety, especially when there are loud noises like a crying baby, he’s incontinent when he gets nervous, and he can be an escape artist. For these reasons, he needs a quiet, adult-only household, preferably with someone experienced with dogs who understands anxiety and senior care. Despite his special needs, he is incredibly loyal and loves affection. He’s happiest when he’scalm and feels safe, and he’ll be a loving companion to the right person who can give him the attention and care he deserves.

Story
TRIXIE 3 years Attributes Dog friendly Requires another dog House trained Medium Energy Playful Requires a fence Snuggly Good in cars Potties on leash Not best for apartments Trixie is a gorgeous red beagle with a generous sprinkling of freckles. She turned 3 years old on 2/22/25. At 29 pounds she is the perfect size for zoomies in the back yard and snuggles on the couch. Luckily, she never had to spend time in a shelter but her previous family fell on hard times and she was living in a van with them and other beagles. Those days are behind her and she is ready for a future filled with love, play and adventure. True to her beagle spirit, Trixie is curious, joyful and always leading with her nose. She is a happy and outgoing girl. She gets along great with the senior beagles in her foster home and although they don't play much, she likes to run in the yard with them. She is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Trixie will need a fenced yard as she loves to go outside for a game of fetch each day. She does well uncrated while her foster parents are at work. She is crated for car rides. Although she loves to walk, she pulls. We are working with her with a no pull harness. She would be great for someone that likes to jog. At times she can be vocal, like most beagles, so no apartments for her. She enjoys soft squeaky toys and knows how to sit for a treat. She is very food motivated, like most beagles. She is smart and would excel at an obedience or agility class. Trixie loves her foster mom and follows her around everywhere she goes. She is a Velcro dog for sure. Trixie prefers sleeping in bed with her humans and loves nightly belly rubs. Trixie is looking for an active family with a fenced yard and another pup to do zoomies with. She is affectionate, smart and ready to be someone's forever sidekick. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
MAISIE 4 months Attributes Good w/dogs Crate trained Working on housetraining Maisie may be the runt of the litter, but don’t let her size fool you — this 4-month-old, 16-pound Beagle/Basset mix has a big personality packed into her little body! She’s the feisty, talkative little sister who absolutely loves being the center of attention. Maisie has a huge heart for people and gets along well with other dogs, greeting everyone she meets with tail wags and puppy energy. She’s already making great progress with her training — she’s crate trained and nearly house trained, with only an occasional accident. Maisie is still learning how to walk on a leash and ride comfortably in the car, but with patience and consistency she’ll catch on quickly. Like any curious puppy, she has a mischievous streak (trash and wrappers are her weakness!) but she has shown wonderful manners with personal belongings and happily sticks to her toys. Maisie will thrive in a home that offers structure, guidance, and lots of love. Whether it’s a house with a fenced yard or an apartment with plenty of walks and playtime, she’ll bring endless joy, affection, and puppy antics to her forever family. Maisie is ready to share her love and brighten the life of whoever is lucky enough to call her theirs. Could that be you? NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

Story
CORI Female 8 years Attributes Adult home only preferred Single dog home Dog friendly Good w/cats Requires a fence Housetrained Good in cars Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. Best of all, Cori is now ready to find her new forever home. If Cori seems like the beagle buddy you’ve been looking for, please contact Midwest BREW to learn more about her. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Bailey is 3 years old. She is very smart and very loving. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. I got her at the Humane society and they told me her breeds were German Shepherd and Terrier but she doesn't look like either. The reason I'm trying to rehome her is because my house just doesn't have the room that she needs to run around. I live in a mobile home park. Her cable is only 5 ft long so she doesn't get much exercise. I haven't been able to walk her. I've had numerous back surgeries. I can't walk any distances. As hard as it is for me to do this I want her to be happy. I think she'd would ideally do great with someplace that has a large fenced in yard or some acreage for her to run in. Bailey loves the water. I take her to the beaches as often as I can. I take her to the dog park and she plays well with other dogs. In fact she would be a great second dog for somebody. She's a very great dog! I just want her to be happy!

Remmy is a handsome husky mix puppy ready to find his forever home! This sweet and loving boy has stunning blue eyes that will melt your heart. LISTED PREVIOUSLY, we decided it was only right to WAIT for his neuter at 6 months before adopting out! At just a few months old, Remmy is full of playful energy and loves to explore. He's been neutered, is up to date on his shots, and is ready to start his new life with you. Remmy would thrive in a home with an active family who can keep up with his curious nature and provide plenty of playtime and snuggles.
