Don't let my age put you off. I may not run around the block like the young dogs, but I am sweet and spirited. I do like a walk to explore my world, and then will snuggle up for movie night. I like other dogs. I have not met cats. Weight: 13 lbs. (I need to lose 1-2 lbs to be at my ideal weight. NOTE: I LIVE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS BUT CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR AREA.

Story
This is Charlie. My daughter brought him home just before Christmas. I dont know much about him. Im told hes about 2 years old. He is a small/medium sized pit or boxer mix. Hes incredibly loving and loves to just sit with you, play and is a good walker. Hes not aggressive, and you can mess with his food while hes eating and hes fine. He gets along well with other dogs and teenagers, but Im not sure about small children or cats as theyve never been around since Ive had him. Hes potty trained and rarely barks. Honestly, hes the perfect dog but he has major separation anxiety, and he doesnt do well at all with my schedule. He needs a home where people are always present or his alone time is minimal. If youre wanting a super loving dog and have the time for him, he may be just what youre looking for.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Meet Corduroy and Tonks, an inseparable bonded pair of dogs with a heartwarming story. After spending two weeks as strays, they stuck together through thick and thin, showcasing an unbreakable loyalty. Tonks is a 3-4 year old spirited terrier mix, and Corduroy is 3-4 year old lovable poodle mix. Both girls have great temperaments and are affectionate with people, and other dogs. Both might need time to gain confidence around larger dogs but do great after slow introductions. Both are crate trained and about 95% potty trained and eager to learn more. Corduroy and Tonks both need supervision and reminders as they continue their journey. This dynamic duo is ready for a loving forever home where they can thrive together, bringing joy and companionship to their new family.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 7, 2026, 8:41 am
