Hello everyone my name is sugar. I am a 2.5 years old male cocker spaniel. I have traveled a couple different states in my two years. I was born in Illinois and lived in Indiana before I came to the great rescue of CNR in Michigan. My foster family says I’m a good boy but very scared. Once I get to know you and realize that you aren't going to harm me, I come out of my shell and will really open up. My foster dad says I’m his little shadow. I am a pretty laid back doggie. I prefer laying on the floor on a mat or blanket. Don’t care for couches or the bed unless there is a storm outside then I will cuddle with you to make sure you are safe. I’m really good on a leash but my family says I’m a little nervous. With more walks I’m sure I’ll love it. I’m good with my two foster sister doggies. There are also two cats I live with here that I don’t have an issue with but one isn’t very nice to me not sure why though. I was never taught that sharing is caring so I have some resource guarding issues so it would be best that i can be in a home without a crate because that is where my biggest issue lies. I might growl if i have a toy but with some work my foster parents think I can over come this. However, i don't guard my food or water. I even can share a bowl of water at the same time with my foster sisters. I am house broken having no issues going in the house. Luna is a sweet girl that was abandoned at a car dealership 8 months ago . We took her in and she’s been living with us ever since . She’s lived with dogs and a 12 year old kid. Great with everyone. She has anxiety and hates to be in a cage . She will shake and salivate in her cage . The vet put her on trazadone and it helps but she’s still anxious. She would do best with someone that’s home all day or works from home . She likes to be near you all the time . She’s very loving but anxious . We work outside of the house 8 hours a day and if I leave her out she will sometimes destroy stuff . Someone active would be grest as she loves walks and car rides.

Story

Cooper is a very energetic and spunky dog. If you have had any experience with Labs or Poodles, you will do just FINE. Labs are extremely loyal, good with kids, protective when needed. Poodles have a little sass and require monthly grooming. Cooper was my Mother's dog. She purchased him from a breeder, he is micro chipped and at the wake of her passing I took over ownership. I got him to the vet with My Frenchie; got his shots updated &recently took them both to a community vaccination event. So he's been seen, clean bill of health and currently receives monthly grooming services. The reason I am re-homing him is because for my lifestyle he is "too" energetic. I have a Frenchie & my home is very chill - 2 children 10 & 16 and though we are home 95% of the time - we do not have the capacity to wait for him to "Settle". Cooper and My dog get along, they have been around each other majority of their lives. We've watched him grow. However he is not the dog I wanted or chose.
