Story
I purchased Park Ranger during the pandemic and he was not socialized properly. He is afraid and aggressive towards children, he has not bit anyone but definitely not good with children. He is so, so handsome and intelligent but very protective of me which comes out as aggression towards others. He has had extensive ongoing training and he is coming along great but it appears that he will never be good with children and I have a lot of kids coming and going. He would be great on a farm or with someone who jogs, runs or is very active. He is free to a loving home, with create and all accessories. Ranger and I would need to meet you and feel comfortable that the transaction is best for Ranger and you 🩵. He loves playing frisbee and running in the woods and snuggling at night.

Story
Ranger is a loving and loyal dog but he can take a while to warm up to people. He is full of energy and ideally he would need a good open space to run around and someone who could go out and be active with him. He is a protective dog which can cause him to come off as aggressive, and unfortunately he doesn’t usually do well around small children. Ranger has a good heart and deserves a loving home where he can be himself.

Story
Poe is an amazing dog and is smart and friendly. He weighs 65lbs, has a chip, and is up-to-date on all his vaccines. He loves to cuddle and play. He is high-energy and would do well with a family with kids who love to throw the ball or chase him around or someone who likes to go for a walk or run. He picks up tricks very easily and he is trained on ringing the bell at the door to go outside. We also use an invisible fence with our dogs. We do have a cat that he is very interested in, he likes to chase her sometimes but that's about it. We have 3 kids between 7 and 13 who are not as enthusiastic about dogs as my husband and I, and we both work so Poe is often left in the cage during the day and not able to get the exercise and play he needs. I would love to see him get the attention he deserves. He would make an amazing best friend and companion.

Story
Lucy is a 3 year old rat terrier that we rescued as a puppy. Lucy is a very sweet and loving girl. She loved cuddles and play time! In July 2023, she unfortunately slipped out of my screen door and injured a dog that was in our front yard. I believe it was a territorial response. However, with a new baby at home I unfortunately do not have the time to give her the training and attention that she needs. I love Lucy and recognize that this environment is not the best place for her to thrive at this point. She is a lovable girl who will make a family very happy!

Story
SHE BOUNCES LIKE TIGGER! Getrude is working on socialization! She deserves the chance for socialization in a loving home that understands she startles with noises and needs very consistent routine. No signs of aggression! She is working on playing with toys and is a shy lovely girl with a gentle spirit. According to her foster home, "she want to please humans and dogs-but her insecurity/nervousness can make her movements jerky." Getrude could go to a home with an older, calmer dog to follow. Can't go to a home with another fearful/anxious dog. She loves peanut butter kongs, soft toys, and wants to play with her foster dogs! She is being housetrained, and is receiving antianxiety meds, and priloscec otc. Will need crate training. Will need extra time and repetitions to fully incorporate new commands. Experienced adopter needed who understands a dog with anxiety ; needs fenced in yard. Knows basic commands such as Sit, Paw, Quiet, No, Wait, Nice, Stay patience and routine oriented - willing to continue to work with a DVM behaviorist. She has 2 speeds: really fast or dead stop! :)
