Meet Sage! This sweet boy has the biggest heart to match his big paws 🐾 Sage loves to play and gets along well with kids, cats and dogs. He can be shy with big dogs but just needs proper introductions. Crate trained, and working on potty training, he has been catching on fast with his foster family! Born 6/20/2025 Sage has a lot of energy and will be a big boy, so he will need a home that’s ready to play and train!

Story
Larry is a giant lap dog. Once he bonds, it’s for life! He is so affectionate and goofy in the sweetest way. He just wants to cuddle on the couch after a long walk, hopefully filled with lots of interesting scents. Larry has a lot of energy and drive. He absolutely loves using his nose to get around and find treats. He would make a great nose work/tracking dog. Larry loves to stay near you so if you’re looking for devotion and companionship he’s the dog for you! Larry has a great “heel” command and enjoys a couple of long walks a day. Any treat finding games or nose work would be really fulfilling for his breed. He loves cuddling on the couch more than anything! While Larry himself is active, he would prefer a calmer household. He wasn’t given a fair shot in his previous household and would need stability, structure and a whole lot of love. A home with young children is probably too overwhelming for this growing guy. Larry would thrive in a house with a yard.

Story
Meet Lucy – Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier 🐾 Age: Around 2 years 🐾 Weight: 57lbs of pure muscle and love 🐾 Ready for Adoption: After July 30th (post-spay) Lucy may be petite, but don’t let her size fool you—this girl is rocking a perfect 12-pack and has the personality to match! She was rescued just in time after her foster mom spotted her dodging traffic on 8 Mile. Since then, she’s been living the good life and is ready to find her forever home. Lucy is a bubbly, social butterfly who goes to work every day at a security company, charming everyone from customers to office staff. She’s got a soft spot for the fellas. Like a big soft spot. As the honorary "temp office pooch," Lucy brings smiles wherever she goes. She’d thrive in a home with preteens and up—she’s gentle, playful, and loves to show off her tricks. Ask her to sit, or lay down (she knows them all), and don’t be surprised if she flops over for a belly rub or a good butt scratch. Tug-of-war is her absolute favorite game, especially with a longer rope, but she’s also happy squeaking toys or chasing after a ball. She walks well on a harness, is housebroken, and doesn’t need to be crated—she’s been a respectful houseguest in her foster home. She does have a high prey drive, so a house without cats is a must! Lucy hasn't had formal dog introductions yet, but she gets excited and happy when she sees other dogs. Due to her prey drive, she’ll need a cat-free home. She’s almost done with all her vetting—Lucy is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and will be spayed on July 30th. A few days after that, she’ll be ready to join her forever family. Could Lucy be your ride-or-die girl? If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a heart of gold and muscles to match, Lucy is your girl. www.providingforpaws.org for an application

Story
I was born around 1/2021. I am a fun loving boy who loves to cuddle and sleep in. I am a couch potato but I also like to play. I will make a wonderful companion. I do love kids but since I was pulled from a shelter we do not know how I will do with other animals but we can arrange a meet and greet.

Story
Raven is a 5 year old Border Collie mix. She is a wonderful, playful, high energy dog that loves to be with her person and is available for cuddling basically anytime. We originally adopted her from a different owner when she was about 2 years old and she has been with us since. Part of Raven's desire for cuddles and to be around her owner is due to issues with separation anxiety. She has been to a training course where she has learned things like sit, stay, and to stay at your side when walking, but the separation anxiety has been persistent, though much more manageable. She is an incredibly smart dog and easily learns new tricks. Her ideal home would be a medium sized house with an owner that has a lot of time to spend with her on walks and with playtime. We believe she would also be good with a home that includes kids with ages at least 10+ as she can get easily overstimulated. She is good with cats and is typically good around other dogs, though she is very shy.
