Ruckus came into care with 3 other puppies who will all need socialization, and supervision. He will n will need puppy classes and be watched as he will consume small objects due to his background. Ruckus is being worked with in his foster home for potty training and for basic commands. He is also being crate trained. He is really becoming more confident in his foster home and loves to do zoomies and plays ball. He needs a lot of reassurance, and direction in new situations. He will eat ANYTHING and needs to be reassured regarding food is available. Not sure with kids or cats just yet.

Story
Roman is a handsome one year old black Great Dane male. He is still very much a puppy with a puppy brain. Roman is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! He is a gentle boy who attaches quickly to people. Roman enjoys quiet walks with his foster parents and helping out around the house. Walks are getting better w practice on a leash. Roman has a few quirks that he needs his potential adopters to be aware of. - he has bloated, his stomach has been tacked but in situations of high stress he is a bloat risk and will need to be monitored throughout his life - Roman has shown some food and resource guarding with other dogs. He will need to be fed separately from other dogs in the home and any high value food items like treats will need to be fed with dogs separated - Roman is a bit unsure of life and how to live like a "normal" dog. He seeks the guidance of the adult in his life and will need a calm, strong, experienced giant breed owner to help him figure all of this out (rescue experience preferred) - Roman is good with other dogs but is still figuring out how to play, he does best with confident, female dogs - Roman needs SLOW socialization and exposure to new things once he has built trust with his adopter. Our obedience requirement will be critical to Roman's success If you think you could be Roman's perfect family, please read more about adoption and submit an application at www.greatdanerescueinc.com/adopt

Story
Ted is a happy boy! Loves to play tug and is a big fan of treats. He needs lots of activity, and walks. LOVES head scratches. Right now he is on a daily med to prevent seizures. It costs about $19 a month and works great. He has not had another one since the meds started. We are now empty nesters and hate leaving him home alone all day. Looking for a happy fun home. He would do better as an only dog, but he does live with another dog now. He is just the king of the castle! :) He is used to a underground fence in the yard and does great.

Story
Lottie is the "itty bitty sister" that was rescued with 3 other puppies. Lottie is super sweet and cuddly, but will need slow socialization, puppy classes, and needs to be supervised as she will consume small objects. This is a result of her unsupervised, under socialized situation as a puppy. She is learning commands and loves other small dogs. She LOVES to eat. She is great in the car and does go in her crate. This is a lovely girl who needs a committed family for her needs! Learning potty training quickly!

Story
Good With Kids: Hasn’t met young kids yet. Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Unknown Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes* Walks Nicely On A Leash: Workin’ on it Knows Basic Commands: Yes Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: N/A Physical Fence: Depends on Adopter Favorite Toy / Activity: Loves his stuffies! And, Nylabones. Arrival story: Was relinquished by owner through no fault of his own. Approximate age / Weight: About 2 yrs old / 50 lbs. Personality: Chase is a charmer! While he enjoys a good romp, especially with a furry friend, he's also content to snuggle up for naps and cuddle time. He's a true people-pleaser and quick learner. When asked to “shake paw” he’ll switch paws when asked. Chase is a house-trained gentleman. While he's not a fan of crates and can get a bit vocal, he's well-behaved when left in a designated area of the house and doesn't get into mischief. He's currently working on perfecting his leash manners, as he can get a little enthusiastic and pull at first. With his eagerness to please, he's sure to improve quickly with consistent training. Not yet introduced to any young children, he currently lives with a 16 year old and does well. Chase also gets along with other dogs, being pals with resident 6 month old canine and respectful of senior dog in foster home, who isn’t much into playing. Chase would enjoy having a safe, fenced yard to run around in freely, but it's not a strict requirement. His absolute favorite things in the world are his stuffed toys - so much so that he'll even take them outside on potty breaks! While they may not last long, they bring him immense joy. He also enjoys nylabones, but stuffies are his true love New Home: Chase could fit into many different home environments. He really just wants to be someone’s best boy. Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application.
