Story
🐾 Meet Stewie 💙 (Yes, like Stewie Griffin… and he absolutely lives up to the name.) No one knows exactly how Stewie ended up alone on the streets as just a puppy — but we do know one thing: this little guy is a survivor. Stewie survived being attacked by another animal and somehow held on long enough to be rescued. When he first arrived in foster care, he was underweight, weak, and recovering from a very hard start to life. But with love, good food, and a safe place to rest, he has completely transformed. Now estimated to be about 1 year old and around 55 pounds, Stewie is at a healthy weight, gaining strength every day, and fully embracing puppy life. Because of his early months, he will likely have some lifelong weakness in his back legs, and he’s a bit nearsighted — but don’t tell him that. He runs, plays, and explores like any other happy pup. He can be a little hesitant with stairs at first, but after a few tries he figures them out like a champ. True to his name, Stewie has a mischievous streak. He’ll keep you laughing with his puppy antics — and then five minutes later he’ll curl up next to you like the sweetest little baby for a nap. He has playful bursts of energy but is equally happy stretched out in a cozy bed catching up on sleep. Stewie was previously adopted and later returned through absolutely no fault of his own. Despite everything he’s been through, he continues to love hard and trust people with his whole heart. He has: *Playful puppy energy *A love for cozy snuggles and naps *Almost mastered potty training *A great relationship with his foster dog brother *A respectful friendship with his foster cat sister *More resilience than most dogs twice his size Stewie may have had a rough beginning, but his future is bright. He’s looking for a forever family who sees his strength, embraces his silly personality, and is ready to give him the safe, loving home he’s always deserved. 💙 Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog

Story
Hi, I’m Ellie! 💕 I’m an adorable 2 year old Staffy mix girlie just looking for love and a family to call my own. I was found as a stray with all of my puppies in pretty rough shape. Thankfully, someone took us in and cared for us when we needed it most. Sadly, only one of my puppies survived, but despite my hard start in life, I am still the HAPPIEST girl you’ll ever meet! I love everyone I meet and will instantly flop over for belly rubs any chance I get. My foster mom says I’m the perfect girl — and I have to agree! I’m also wonderful with dogs of all sizes. If you’re looking for the perfect little lady with a head as big as my heart, please submit an application and come meet me! 🐾 👉 Apply to adopt me here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog

💛🐾 MEET KAI — BIG HEART, BIG PERSONALITY, BIG PUPPY ENERGY 🐾💛 If you've ever wished for a giant, affectionate puppy who believes every person she meets is her new best friend, Kai may be your perfect match. This beautiful young Pit/Lab mix weighs about 65 pounds, but don't tell her that—Kai is absolutely convinced she's a lap dog. She is a mountain of sweetness wrapped in a powerful, energetic package, and her favorite thing in the world is being close to her people. Kai wakes up every day ready to live life to the fullest. Whether she's zooming around the yard, playing with her toys, or soaking up attention from her humans, she approaches everything with pure joy. In fact, her zoomies are so enthusiastic that furniture occasionally finds itself in a new location! Her playful happiness is contagious, and it's nearly impossible not to smile when she's having fun. Kai loves everyone she meets and does well with older children. She's house trained, crate trained, and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. During the day, she enjoys a routine of outdoor play, training sessions, naps, and more play. An active home with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off energy is a must for this girl. Like many dogs who spent important developmental time in a shelter environment, Kai can seem like a seven-week-old puppy trapped in a one-year-old dog's body. She's incredibly smart and eager to learn, but she's still figuring out things like self-control and personal space. She has made wonderful progress learning to sit patiently before meals, wait at doors, and settle herself without constant reminders. She responds well to positive reinforcement and is especially good at coming when called, even when she's excited. Kai knows "sit," "down," and "come," and she's continuing to work on her leash manners. She's highly food motivated and loves homemade pupsicles, carrots, freeze-dried beef liver, and salmon treats. Potential adopters should know that Kai is still learning how to read other dogs' social cues. She can be a playful, non-aggressive bulldozer who doesn't always realize her own size and strength. Because of this, she'd do best with confident dog friends or as the only dog in an active home. Her experience with cats is currently unknown. Kai's ideal family is an active adult or family with older children who wants a true companion for adventures, playtime, training, and lots of snuggles. She isn't looking for a couch potato lifestyle—she's looking for someone who will help guide her as she continues to mature into the amazing dog she's already becoming. If you're ready for a loyal sidekick with endless love to give, plenty of personality, and enough enthusiasm to keep life interesting, Kai is waiting to meet you. ❤️ 🚶‍♀️ TRAINING NOTES Kai is strong on leash and still working on her manners—she’ll need someone committed to continuing her training. She responds well to correction and redirection, but consistency will be key to her success. 💛 THE BOTTOM LINE Kai isn’t a “sit on the couch all day” dog—she’s a growing, playful, loving companion who needs guidance, structure, and someone willing to invest in her. And in return? You’ll get a loyal, affectionate best friend who’s already proving she’s worth the effort. 💛 📩 Apply to adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog
