Story
Meet Rosie Rosie is a beautiful terrier mix, around 5–6 years old and 77 pounds of pure love. She came to rescue through no fault of her own after being bullied by other dogs in her previous home. Despite that, Rosie’s gentle heart and sweet spirit shine through in everything she does. Rosie does wonderfully with kind, respectful dogs, and she’s also great with cats and kids—making her a fantastic fit for many different types of families. Her favorite place in the world is wherever you are. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or moving from room to room, Rosie is happiest being by your side and part of the action. If allowed, she’d be more than happy to curl up and sleep in bed with you, too. She is fully potty trained and will politely stand by the door when she needs to go outside. Rosie is much more interested in people than toys, so she’s looking for a home where she can get plenty of companionship, affection, and quality time. Rosie can be a little unsure around new men at first and may bark briefly, but once she realizes she’s safe, she warms up quickly—usually within minutes—and shows her loving, loyal nature. Fully vaccinated, in excellent health, and overflowing with love, Rosie is a devoted, people-oriented companion who’s ready to settle into her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who just wants to be near you, Rosie may be the perfect match. Rosie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org. Adoption fees are as follows: $225 for a dog. When adopting a dog from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Story
Gloria is being treated for Heartworm and will need to have her activity level restricted for the next several months. We would love to place her in a quiet foster home while she undergoes treatment. She has shown some resource guarding around food, so we would prefer to either place her in a home with no other dogs or where the dogs could be completely segregated whenever food or treats are present. Please email roas@romi.gov to apply to foster or adopt this loving girl.
