Cubby is the sort of dog who throws himself into happiness with his whole heart, whether that means belly rubs, squeaky toys, or declaring all-out war on the sprinkler as if it personally offended him.

When Cubby was only a few weeks old, he survived a terrible lawn mower accident. It is the kind of beginning that could have broken a little dog’s spirit, but not Cubby’s. Thanks to incredible care and his own fierce will to live, he healed, recovered, and kept going. Today, he is thriving, with no long-term complications from the accident. His scars are still there, but they do not tell a story of weakness. They tell a story of courage. Of survival. Of a little dog who fought hard to be here and is now ready for the beautiful life he deserves.
And what a lovely life he could bring to someone in return.
Cubby bonds deeply with his people and wants very much to be part of the everyday rhythm of home. He loves attention, loves playtime, and loves feeling included.
He would do best in a calm, structured home, ideally adult-only or with respectful teens, where he can feel secure, understood, and loved in the steady way a sensitive, special dog like him needs.
