🐾💗 MEET ROXY 💗🐾 Roxy is a stunning 3-year-old girl with a gentle heart and so much love to give. After losing the only home she knew, she’s hoping her next chapter will be the one that lasts forever. This sweet girl may be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you. Once Roxy feels safe and comfortable, she becomes an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who loves nothing more than being close to her people. Whether it’s curling up for a movie night, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you from room to room, Roxy is happiest when she’s with the ones she loves. ✨ About Roxy: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Good with male dogs ✔️ Good with cats ✔️ Good with children ✔️ Loves cuddles and affection ✔️ Working hard on her leash skills and improving every day Roxy would do best in a home where she can be the only female dog. She thrives with structure, patience, and understanding, and she forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. What Roxy is really looking for isn’t anything fancy. She isn’t asking for a perfect home. She’s simply hoping for someone who will give her a chance, love her for who she is, and never make her wonder where she belongs again. 💗 If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, a professional cuddler, and a dog who will love you with her whole heart, Roxy may be the missing piece your family has been waiting for. 🏡 Roxy is ready to leave her past behind and start her happily ever after. Story
🚨 URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED 🚨 Meet Alice 💛 Alice is a senior girl looking for a very specific, understanding home. We believe in being completely transparent about her needs so that any potential placement puts both Alice and her adopter in the best possible position for success. Alice has significant, progressive medical conditions, including Cushing’s disease, a grade 3 heart murmur/enlarged heart, severe arthritis and spinal changes, chronic pain, dental disease, mammary nodules, and possible vision impairment. Her mobility is limited, and discomfort greatly affects her behavior. Alice tends to bond intensely with one person and can become fearful and reactive toward others. She has a history of growling, lunging, and multiple inhibited bites/bite attempts toward adults, primarily men, as well as incidents involving cats. Most have not caused injury, although one recent incident involved holding onto a pant leg with significant pressure. She can also resource guard her preferred person. Because of this history, Alice requires an exceptionally specific home: one adult woman, no men, children, cats, or dogs, and no apartments or condos. A securely fenced private yard is required. Her adopter must be experienced with fearful/reactive dogs, understand canine body language, and be comfortable with lifelong management and significant veterinary expenses. Alice struggles with separation, confinement, strangers, movement, noise, handling, and activity that increases her pain. Despite veterinary care, medication, professional training, and extensive management, her progress has been limited. Alice isn’t a dog for everyone. She needs someone who fully understands her medical and behavioral history and is prepared to prioritize her comfort, safety, and quality of life above everything else. 💛 Interested in fostering Alice? 💛🐾 MEET KAI — BIG HEART, BIG PERSONALITY, BIG PUPPY ENERGY 🐾💛 If you've ever wished for a giant, affectionate puppy who believes every person she meets is her new best friend, Kai may be your perfect match. This beautiful young Pit/Lab mix weighs about 65 pounds, but don't tell her that—Kai is absolutely convinced she's a lap dog. She is a mountain of sweetness wrapped in a powerful, energetic package, and her favorite thing in the world is being close to her people. Kai wakes up every day ready to live life to the fullest. Whether she's zooming around the yard, playing with her toys, or soaking up attention from her humans, she approaches everything with pure joy. In fact, her zoomies are so enthusiastic that furniture occasionally finds itself in a new location! Her playful happiness is contagious, and it's nearly impossible not to smile when she's having fun. Kai loves everyone she meets and does well with older children. She's house trained, crate trained, and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. During the day, she enjoys a routine of outdoor play, training sessions, naps, and more play. An active home with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off energy is a must for this girl. Like many dogs who spent important developmental time in a shelter environment, Kai can seem like a seven-week-old puppy trapped in a one-year-old dog's body. She's incredibly smart and eager to learn, but she's still figuring out things like self-control and personal space. She has made wonderful progress learning to sit patiently before meals, wait at doors, and settle herself without constant reminders. She responds well to positive reinforcement and is especially good at coming when called, even when she's excited. Kai knows "sit," "down," and "come," and she's continuing to work on her leash manners. She's highly food motivated and loves homemade pupsicles, carrots, freeze-dried beef liver, and salmon treats. Potential adopters should know that Kai is still learning how to read other dogs' social cues. She can be a playful, non-aggressive bulldozer who doesn't always realize her own size and strength. Because of this, she'd do best with confident dog friends or as the only dog in an active home. Her experience with cats is currently unknown. Kai's ideal family is an active adult or family with older children who wants a true companion for adventures, playtime, training, and lots of snuggles. She isn't looking for a couch potato lifestyle—she's looking for someone who will help guide her as she continues to mature into the amazing dog she's already becoming. If you're ready for a loyal sidekick with endless love to give, plenty of personality, and enough enthusiasm to keep life interesting, Kai is waiting to meet you. ❤️ 🚶‍♀️ TRAINING NOTES Kai is strong on leash and still working on her manners—she’ll need someone committed to continuing her training. She responds well to correction and redirection, but consistency will be key to her success. 💛 THE BOTTOM LINE Kai isn’t a “sit on the couch all day” dog—she’s a growing, playful, loving companion who needs guidance, structure, and someone willing to invest in her. And in return? You’ll get a loyal, affectionate best friend who’s already proving she’s worth the effort. 💛 📩 Apply to adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog

🐾💙 MEET ZEUS — PART-TIME ZOOMIE KING, FULL-TIME LAP DOG! 💙🐾 Zeus may be 6 years old, but he still has just enough goofy energy to keep life fun, followed by a very serious commitment to cuddling. 😂 Give this handsome guy a walk, a game of tug, or a few minutes to show off his zoomies and he’s satisfied. After that? Your lap belongs to Zeus. Personal space is apparently not part of his vocabulary, and he’ll happily settle in for the rest of the evening. ❤️ Zeus can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take him long to decide you’re his friend. Once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate, sweet, and loves being close to his people. 🐶 ZEUS AT A GLANCE: ✨ 6 years old. ✨ Neutered & up to date on vaccines. ✨ Playful without being nonstop energy. ✨ Loves walks, tug toys & short zoomie sessions. ✨ Professional lap warmer. ✨ Dog-friendly and respectful of other dogs’ boundaries. ✨ Has successfully attended doggie daycare & boarding. ✨ Kid-friendly, previously lived with very young children. ✨ Cats are unknown. ✨ Walks well and is easily redirected when squirrels or dogs catch his eye. 🍽️ Zeus prefers to enjoy his meals without canine company. He should be fed separately from other dogs and have bowls picked up afterward. Once mealtime is over, he’s perfectly happy sharing his space again. He also has a history of allergies and ear infections and can be sensitive to sudden outside noises like knocking or car doors shutting. What Zeus really wants is pretty simple: someone to walk with, someone to play tug with, and most importantly, someone whose lap he can claim at the end of the day. 🥹 He’s got the perfect balance, enough personality to make you laugh and enough chill to make him an amazing companion. 🏡 Zeus is ready to trade temporary places for a forever home. Could his next cuddle spot be on your couch? 💙🐾 📩 Apply to adopt Zeus through Happy Paws Haven and SHARE to help us find his person!
