Frankie is a male 8 week Husky mix WE DO NOT KNOW THE MIX! Just like all of our puppies he was placed in a wonderful foster home (not shelter) receiving LOVE and proper socialization, basic commands and started on their potty training. He is GREAT with children as well as other dogs, cats and kids. He loves toys and cuddles. He will make a Great family pet. Shep is a cuddly, loyal companion who loves being close to his person, whether that means curling up beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room. He enjoys daily walks, playing fetch, and happily chewing on his favorite bones. When he feels comfortable and secure, his sweet and playful personality shines. He thrives in a calm home and would be happiest with someone who is home often, such as a remote worker or retiree. It is important to be honest and transparent about the challenges Shep faces so that he can be placed in a safe and appropriate environment. He has shown aggressive behaviors, including biting his owner. He can also display aggression reactivity toward other dogs, and resource guarding. He must be the only pet and cannot live with children. This is a heartbreaking decision, as he is deeply loved. In the right home, he will be a devoted and affectionate companion. We are committed to finding him a safe, patient, and understanding forever home.

Story

Finn is a lovable, cuddly Shepherd Beagle mix who loves long walks, playing ball, and sitting in laps. He is 9 years old (exact birthdate unknown). We are heartbroken to have to find him a new home— we adopted him when he was 1.5 and he’s been a wonderful adventure buddy. Unfortunately he does not get along well with kids and now that we have two it’s become too difficult to manage. He deserves a home where he’s not stressed all the time. He’s so loving and affectionate toward adults! He gets along well with our terrier mix but usually needs a little bit of time to adjust with other dogs though he usually comes around! He also has pancreatitis which he’s been on steroids for and that helps. He really is just the sweetest boy!

Story

This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Sweet Elsa is one of the girls from the "frozen litter" that was surrendered to rescue at 6 weeks old. We were allowed to spay her mom before returning her to her family. Both parents are under 15lbs. She is a spunky little girl now looking for her own family. She has been completely vetted and microchipped. She is pee pad trained and just started house training. She will need a family that is will to continue to work with her training and understands puppies can be a lot of work. She will make a wonderful addition to any family. She is fostered in Knoxville TN, but transport to a location near you is provided by Rescue Riders LLC and is included in the adoption fee.

Meet Bojangles! This loving bully mix is just five months old and already the happy go lucky kind of dog that people dream of having. While adventuring and floating on the river are his favorite activities so far, this fella is also down for playing with other dogs. Despite his adventurous nature, Bojangles will also settle well in a crate and is totally up for snuggling with his person. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality.
