Story

Finn is a lovable, cuddly Shepherd Beagle mix who loves long walks, playing ball, and sitting in laps. He is 9 years old (exact birthdate unknown). We are heartbroken to have to find him a new home— we adopted him when he was 1.5 and he’s been a wonderful adventure buddy. Unfortunately he does not get along well with kids and now that we have two it’s become too difficult to manage. He deserves a home where he’s not stressed all the time. He’s so loving and affectionate toward adults! He gets along well with our terrier mix but usually needs a little bit of time to adjust with other dogs though he usually comes around! He also has pancreatitis which he’s been on steroids for and that helps. He really is just the sweetest boy!

We aren't sure what breed he is mixed with but he sure is beautiful. All of his littermates have been adopted and now it's Beignet's turn to find that perfect family! Beignet absolutely loves water — kiddie pools, sprinklers, you name it! He’s a fun-loving pup who would thrive in an active home that enjoys outdoor adventures. He’s currently learning to walk on a leash and doing great for his age. Beignet gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to play with. Cats are unknown, but he’s gentle and happy around children, making him a great family companion. This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Whiskey came into rescue as a 10-week-old pup in Sept 2023. He came with his sister that was adopted 2 years ago. He is a sweet pup that needs his own family. He is good with other dogs but has not been cat tested. He has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. This sweet boy is so deserving of a loving home. He is not a favorite of leash walking, but usually it's because he is going to the vet. He can only wear a harness as he doesn't like a leash on his neck. Look into his beautiful eyes and see what a sweet soul he has. His adoption fee covers the transport and health certificate to go out of state. Sweet Anna is one of the girls from the "frozen litter" that was surrendered to rescue at 6 weeks old. We were allowed to spay her mom before returning to her family. Both parents are under 15lbs. She is a spunky little girl now looking for her own family. She has been completely vetted and microchipped. She is pee pad trained and just started house training. She will need a family that is will to continue to work with her training and understands puppies can be a lot of work. She will make a wonderful addition to any family. She is fostered in Knoxville TN, but transportation to a location near you is provided by Rescue Riders LLC and is included in the adoption fee.
