Story
Winston, male pit bull mix (amputee) Winston was shot with a 12 guage rifle in November of 2015. He lost his leg because his owner failed to keep him in a safe environment (fenced yard). While he was wandering the area, he was shot in the leg. Unfortunately, he lost his leg, and his home after that, as his owner couldn't take responsibility for his vet care either. Winston is a ton of fun. He plays ball like a champ, click here to see him go! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=915137805263915&id=381107812000253 He's not so good with other dogs, but he loves men, women, and kids!! Winston has a requirement for a fenced yard, and no other pets. He has accepted neighbors dogs after some time getting to know them through the fence in his foster home. He knows sit, fetch, leave it, and is house trained, crate trained (iif needed, but he's generally a good boy), neutered and a big lover. Story
🐾 Meet Ferb! 💛Ferb is a 1-year-old brindle mixed breed with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He came to us as a stray, nervous and itchy, with a skin infection that is now fully healed. Despite his rough start, Ferb has shown nothing but love for every human he meets. He has done great meeting other dogs, though we’re unsure about cats.Ferb is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment—but don’t worry! He can go home during treatment, and the shelter covers the care to get him healthy. Heartworm is a parasite spread by mosquitoes that affects the heart and lungs, but with proper treatment, dogs can fully recover and live happy, healthy lives. During treatment, activity may need to be limited to keep his heart safe, but with love and patience, Ferb will thrive in his forever home. Now confident, friendly, and playful, Ferb is ready for a forever family who will keep him happy, safe, and loved.✨ Bonus: His adoption fee has been generously sponsored!

Story
Meet Blue Bear! 🐻💙Blue Bear is a handsome 3-year-old gray and white mixed breed who weighs in around 88 pounds of pure love. He came into our care as a stray, so we don’t have any information about his past — but we do know that this big softie has been nothing but sweet to everyone he’s met here.Blue Bear has a friendly, lovable personality and enjoys meeting new people. He’s also met other dogs in our care and has done well with them, making him a great candidate for a home with another canine friend (with proper meets, of course!).This boy is strong and enthusiastic, and while he knows “sit” and happily comes when called, he’ll benefit from some guidance on leash walking and polishing up his basic manners. Blue Bear is a great fit for adopters excited to continue his training using positive reinforcement — rewarding good behaviors, building trust, and helping him learn in a fun, encouraging way.If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion who’s eager to love and even more eager to learn, Blue Bear might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone here has fallen for him! 🐾💙I’m

Story
Meet Adam! 🐾✨This handsome 1-year-old grey and white neutered male mixed breed is ready for his fresh start—and he’s hoping it begins with you! Adam came into our care from another shelter, and since arriving he’s shown us just how sweet, goofy, and full of life he truly is.Weighing in at about 50 lbs, Adam is a perfect medium-sized companion with a playful, energetic personality. He LOVES tennis balls—if it bounces, he’s all in! When meeting other dogs, he’s been pretty indifferent, so he’ll need to meet any resident pups before heading home.Adam has no known history with cats or children, but he would love to meet the whole family before adoption to make sure it’s a great fit. If you have cats, we can provide guidance on doing safe, slow introductions at home to help set everyone up for success.Treat-motivated and eager to learn, Adam would thrive with positive reinforcement training as he settles into his next chapter. If you’re looking for a fun, loving dog who’s ready for a new beginning, Adam can’t wait to meet you! 💙🐶
