Story
Winston, male pit bull mix (amputee) Winston was shot with a 12 guage rifle in November of 2015. He lost his leg because his owner failed to keep him in a safe environment (fenced yard). While he was wandering the area, he was shot in the leg. Unfortunately, he lost his leg, and his home after that, as his owner couldn't take responsibility for his vet care either. Winston is a ton of fun. He plays ball like a champ, click here to see him go! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=915137805263915&id=381107812000253 He's not so good with other dogs, but he loves men, women, and kids!! Winston has a requirement for a fenced yard, and no other pets. He has accepted neighbors dogs after some time getting to know them through the fence in his foster home. He knows sit, fetch, leave it, and is house trained, crate trained (iif needed, but he's generally a good boy), neutered and a big lover. Story
Meet Adam! 🐾✨This handsome 1-year-old grey and white neutered male mixed breed is ready for his fresh start—and he’s hoping it begins with you! Adam came into our care from another shelter, and since arriving he’s shown us just how sweet, goofy, and full of life he truly is.Weighing in at about 50 lbs, Adam is a perfect medium-sized companion with a playful, energetic personality. He LOVES tennis balls—if it bounces, he’s all in! When meeting other dogs, he’s been pretty indifferent, so he’ll need to meet any resident pups before heading home.Adam has no known history with cats or children, but he would love to meet the whole family before adoption to make sure it’s a great fit. If you have cats, we can provide guidance on doing safe, slow introductions at home to help set everyone up for success.Treat-motivated and eager to learn, Adam would thrive with positive reinforcement training as he settles into his next chapter. If you’re looking for a fun, loving dog who’s ready for a new beginning, Adam can’t wait to meet you! 💙🐶

Story
Meet Mamas — our beautiful senior Shepherd girl with a heart made of pure gold. 💛🐾Mamas came into our care after her lifelong owner fell on hard times, and while the transition has been tough, she has shown us nothing but sweetness, resilience, and steady devotion. Now, this incredible girl is looking for a loving home to spend her golden years — a home that will cherish her the way she deserves.💛 A Lifetime of LoveIn her previous home, Mamas lived with other dogs and was always friendly, playful, and gentle. She’s also lived with children up to age 17 and absolutely adored them. Her joyful spirit shines through in everything she does — especially when her favorite green tennis ball is involved. If you want to see her eyes light up, just show her that ball!🐾 A True Shepherd at HeartMamas is loyal, intelligent, and eager to please. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, and even though she’s hard of hearing, she watches people closely and tries her best to understand what’s being asked of her. She can be a vocal girl at times, especially when she’s excited or wants attention — a classic Shepherd trait that just makes her even more charming.🌟 The Magic of SeniorsThere is something special about senior dogs — their calm presence, their gratitude, and the deep, unconditional love they give. Mamas is no exception. She wants nothing more than to be by your side, share quiet moments, and enjoy life’s simple comforts. She may be in her golden years, but she still has plenty of love, playfulness, and personality to offer.Mamas is ready for a soft bed, a warm heart, and a family who will adore her just as much as she’ll adore them. If you believe senior pups are truly treasures — this wonderful girl is waiting to meet you. 💛🐶

**✨ Meet Katie — Your Future Best Friend in the Making! ✨**Katie is a 16-week-old bundle of joy with a big heart, a curious mind, and puppy energy to spare! This sweet girl is growing fast and eager to learn, but like many young pups, she’s still mastering her manners. Katie is working on polite greetings, keeping four paws on the floor, and learning that nibbling is for toys — not fingers! What she *lacks* in experience, she makes up for in enthusiasm. Katie loves treats, praise, and anyone willing to guide her as she learns how to be her best, well-mannered self. She’s smart, affectionate, and already showing huge potential with patient, positive training.Katie will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for play and learning. If you’re ready to help shape a bright young pup into a confident, well-behaved companion, Katie is ready to give you all her love (and some adorable wiggles along the way!).**Ready to meet this sweet girl? Katie can’t wait to charm her way into your heart!** 🐾💛
