Story
Meet Thunder – Your Next Adventure Buddy! Thunder is a 3-year-old, 50lb German Shorthaired Pointer looking for his forever home! This handsome guy is AKC registered, ,microchipped, bird-trained, and knows his basic commands like sit, shake, lay down, come, and (sometimes) stay. He’ll even point—just like a true GSP pro! Thunder is super friendly, playful, and absolutely loves cuddle time. He loves car rides and family trips. He’s great with kids (though we recommend supervision with younger ones), and surprisingly good with cats. He’s not a fan of other dogs, so he'd do best as your one-and-only pup. He’s neutered, house-trained, and crate-trained—ready to settle into your home and heart. Whether you’re into outdoor adventures or just want a goofy, loyal companion, Thunder’s your guy. Reach out to set up a meet-and-greet—let’s find this sweet boy the loving home he deserves!

Story
Rio is a good loving boy. He listens to commands. He is house trained. We got him when he was a puppy. It actually was my daughter‘s birthday present from her grandmother. My daughter has since moved to go to school in Chicago and could not take Rio with her. Rio has an aggressive side. He does not like dogs outside the house. He has attacked another dog when he had gotten out of the yard, he becomes aggressive over bones and treats. I have two Yorkies and he had hurt my male Yorkie, he was very aggressive with him in which scares me. I am not home enough. I work full-time plus hours he’s in a cage 12 hours a day, but he is free when I’m home he sleeps with me and the other two dogs and he does play really well with the two little dogs. He’s gentle when he’s playing with them. He has never hurt either one during Playtime. He really needs somebody that can spend more time with him that can walk him and train him properly I don’t have the time for it.

Age: 2 Years Weight: 46lbs Good with dogs? Yes- meet and greet required Good with cats? Unknown Good with kids? Yes Energy Level: Moderate-High Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Introducing another amazing Detroit special Malassezia! Also known as Mal. Mal is a lovable bulldog mix with a personality as soft and squishy as her wrinkly face. She was waiting for her chance at the over crowded shelter in Detroit and we couldn't wait to welcome her to our adoption program. This adorable pup is a master of snuggling, always eager to curl up and soak up the attention of those around her. She's shy at first but it doesn't take long for her to warm up and melt your heart. She loves to smoosh her face into you for pets, walks well on a leash, likes stuffie toys, and if you hit the right spot behind her ear for pets, she'll start kicking her leg in appreciation. With her unique blend of bulldog charm, puppy dog eyes, and sensational wrinkles, Mal brings a dash of whimsy to every room she enters. She's silly and adorable and we've all fallen madly in love with her. You will too! This beefcake is slowly coming out of her shell now that she knows she is safe and sound here with us and we love to see it. She ADORES playing and will happily play for hours, until you're ready for a cuddle session of course. We are quite smitten with this girl and we know you will be too! Malassezia was recently spayed here with us. She is also microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. This low rider is finally ready to meet her forever family and have a home to call her own. She can't wait to be a part of a family. Story
Age: 8 Years Weight: 34lbs Good with dogs? No Good with cats? No Good with kids? No Energy Level: Low-Moderate Adoption Fee: $200.00 Any other info: Please welcome sweet senior Daffodil to the adoption program. Daffodil is an 8 year old sweetheart with a heartwarming spirit and a story that deserves to be heard. When we saw her as we walked the halls of shelter, we just couldn't leave her behind. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Detroit, Daffodil carries the marks of her past—scars all over her body that tell tales of resilience, underweight with ribs showing, body scrunched over as if she has been stuck in an undersized crate for far too long, and missing canine teeth we only noticed when she smiled at us. Who knows what kind of life this girl has been living up until now... Despite the hardships she's faced, her affectionate nature shines brightly as she greets everyone with a warm smile, seeking gentle pets and endless cuddles. She has finally learned what toys are and LOVES to play!!! Daffodil is a gentle soul, weighing just 34lbs, who thrives on companionship, reminding us all that love can flourish even in the most challenging circumstances. She has recently been spayed and microchipped. She is also up to date on age appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested negative and kept on prevention here with us. She is now looking for a loving forever home soon and something tells us this will be the first time she will be a part of a real family. Daffodil is so deserving.
