Story
Shep is a cuddly, loyal companion who loves being close to his person, whether that means curling up beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room. He enjoys daily walks, playing fetch, and happily chewing on his favorite bones. When he feels comfortable and secure, his sweet and playful personality shines. He thrives in a calm home and would be happiest with someone who is home often, such as a remote worker or retiree. It is important to be honest and transparent about the challenges Shep faces so that he can be placed in a safe and appropriate environment. He has shown aggressive behaviors, including biting his owner. He can also display aggression reactivity toward other dogs, and resource guarding. He must be the only pet and cannot live with children. This is a heartbreaking decision, as he is deeply loved. In the right home, he will be a devoted and affectionate companion. We are committed to finding him a safe, patient, and understanding forever home.

Story
Finn is a lovable, cuddly Shepherd Beagle mix who loves long walks, playing ball, and sitting in laps. He is 9 years old (exact birthdate unknown). We are heartbroken to have to find him a new home— we adopted him when he was 1.5 and he’s been a wonderful adventure buddy. Unfortunately he does not get along well with kids and now that we have two it’s become too difficult to manage. He deserves a home where he’s not stressed all the time. He’s so loving and affectionate toward adults! He gets along well with our terrier mix but usually needs a little bit of time to adjust with other dogs though he usually comes around! He also has pancreatitis which he’s been on steroids for and that helps. He really is just the sweetest boy!

Story
Meet Coco! Coco is a laid-back, lovable girl who knows exactly what she wants out of life — a cozy spot to curl up, someone to snuggle with, and a ball nearby just in case. Coco is a 60-pound lap dog that has mastered the art of relaxation and is ready to bring her easygoing charm to her forever home. Coco is fully potty trained and does beautifully when left alone. She's content to nap in a bedroom with a chew treat and doesn't cause any trouble — no destructive behavior, no excessive barking, no separation anxiety. She'll casually drift toward the door when she needs to go out, sleeps in bed with her person, and is an absolute dream. Don't let anyone tell you low-energy dogs are boring, because Coco is proof that calm and charming go hand in hand. She's happy to take a leisurely walk, soak up some sun on the deck, or spend the afternoon snuggled up with you and her favorite ball. She'll make a few laps to grab a toy, but she's more of a "let's stay in and be cozy" kind of gal — hiking and running are not really her scene. Coco is independent but affectionate — she doesn't need constant attention, but she genuinely enjoys your company. She's confident, a little sassy, and not afraid to speak her mind. Literally. She will talk to you with a ball in her mouth, which is as adorable as it sounds! When it comes to strangers, she likes to size people up before deciding whether they deserve a bark or a snuggle — she's not aggressive, just discerning. Coco can coexist with other dogs, though she may be happiest as the only pup or to live with a submissive dog. She takes a little time to warm up to new canine friends and isn't a fan of rude face-to-face greetings. She completely ignores cats and has shown no signs of prey drive toward small animals. She hasn't spent much time around children but has shown no signs of aggression. Coco just wants a soft place to land and someone to love her. She'll reward you with snuggles, silly ball-in-mouth conversations, and the kind of quiet, steady companionship that makes a house feel like home. Coco is spayed, utd on vaccines, fecal tested, microchipped. She is currently going through heartworm treatment and would love to find her family during this process. Story
Meet Venus Venus may be named after a goddess, and honestly? She lives up to it. Venus is full of love, wiggles, and the very best intentions — including her habit of trotting up to greet you with a gift in her mouth. It might be a toy, it might be a tuft of husky fur she found on the floor, but either way, it's from the heart. Venus is a moderate energy girl who is equally happy romping around with her dog friends as she is melting into the couch for a good cuddle session. She loves other dogs, adores children of all ages, ignores cats, and has even been spotted giving the chickens kisses and rolling over for them. Her prey drive is basically nonexistent — she's a lover, not a hunter. She's shy when she first meets new people, but don't let that fool you — her tail is always wagging. It's only a matter of minutes before Venus decides you're her new favorite person. She walks nicely on a leash, already knows sit, and is working hard on more commands every day. She's a quick learner with tons of potential just waiting to shine. Venus is still working on crate training and potty training, and she may voice her strong opinions about bedtime for about 30 minutes before settling in. She's also a passionate eater who will need a slow feeder bowl, because this girl does not believe in taking her time at dinner. These are small things for the right patient family, and she is absolutely worth it. Car rides? Love them. Being pampered? Obsessed. Bringing her humans random gifts just because she adores them? It's basically her love language. Venus is looking for: A warm home with patient humans, maybe some dog siblings to play with, and someone who will always accept her gifts graciously — no matter what they are. *Estimate DOB 12/12/2025 *Spayed, up to date in age appropriate vaccines and microchipped *Dog, Cat & Kid Friendly Adoption Fee: $350 Apply here to add her to your family! peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Carmelow!!! Carmelow is a sweet pug mix who just needs the simple things in life. He's not a complicated dog — he just wants to go on walks, be near his person, and maybe show off his little trick where he stands on his hind legs and waves his front paws when he knows a treat is coming. It's ridiculously cute. He's got a medium-to-high energy level, so he does best with someone who is looking for more of an active dog. He LOVES going on his daily walks. He also is a huge fan of exploring and sniffing around, so a short hike is right up his alley. Inside, he's pretty chill once he's had his exercise. He'll hang out right at your feet while you're working or relaxing — this dog just likes being close to his people. Carmelow gets along well with other dogs and warms up to strangers quickly. We prefer Carmelow goes to a home with a fenced yard or at someone who will keep him on leash at all times as he will test the boundaries. *5 years young *Neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, vaccinated. *Dog, cat and kid friendly (may sometimes chase a cat but means no harm) *No need for a crate, not destructive! Apply here to meet this cute boy! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
