Story
Meet Mighty Mouse!Mighty Mouse is another pup that's going to need a very special someone that understands how particular, bossy, and sassy chihuahuas can be. Mighty Mouse is about two years old, absolutely gorgeous (as you can see) and also very, very deaf. VERY deaf. This means he can't really hear himself bark so he tends to bark loudly and incessantly when he gets riled up so shared walls/apartment complexes may not be the best environment for this shouty little man. He's a little under 14lbs but what he lacks in size he makes up for with an attitude the size of Texas. He takes a bit to warm up to people but once he does, he definitely plays favorites. He does well with other dogs but not with cats. He's sweet with people (once he likes you) and loves going for walks. He also loves his treats/snacks and likes to bury them and then forget they exist. With the right amount of sweet talking, Mighty Mouse will be your best friend...but you need to be willing to GO SLOW with him. He isn't the kind of dog that you can just swoop down and scoop up right away because he can and will throw hands while screaming vulgarities (probably). If you've had a difficult dog in the past and are used to the attitude and the judgmental side eye, Mighty Mouse might be the guy for you. We're looking for an adult only home (older teenagers should be fine as well) that has the patience and the drive to put in the effort with him...because he is incredible once you melt that icy Fight Club exterior.

Story
Oh, Maui girl 💔We know that this is another big ask for an adopter. Maui is an older lady, a large breed, and can be selective with the animals that she vibes with. She's an eight year old shepherd mix, weighs about 52lbs, and just needs a safe place to land to live out her golden years in comfort.Maui is very, VERY smart. Her previous owner put so much effort and time and love into her and it shows in how much she loves to show off all of her tricks. Despite being eight years old, she's still full of energy and loves to run around our agility course and prefers playing with toys and people over pretty much anything else. She's lovely on a leash for the most part but can get a little stubborn when something interests her and she wants to go investigate it. She's not a clingy girl and while she won't say no to attention (obviously), she isn't the kind of dog that needs to be glued to your hip 24/7. If you think you work too much to own a dog? Maui is perfect. She'll snooze all day and, as long as you engage with her and take her for regular walks, she'll be content. Maui is pretty selective with the dogs that she likes. There doesn't really seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why she gets along with some and wants nothing to do with others. She hasn't shown any aggression but it's clear that she would just prefer NOT to be around certain dogs. She's also the same way with cats...sometimes she's fine and sometimes she's not, so it may be best to just say no cats at all. Kids 12+ but we may make an exception for the right family with experience. To give this golden girl her forever home, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Meet Fiddle!Fiddle is a year old and has permanent puppy dog eyes that will make you feel bad for everything you've ever done wrong in your entire life. Between the spot over his eye and the freckled ears, he looks like he belongs on Paw Patrol or as a character in a children's book. If you can handle the constant guilt trip just for existing, you could be perfect for Fiddle.Fiddle is a little over 55lbs so definitely not as big as most of the dogs we have right now. He is, all around, a VERY good boy, he just needs a little more confidence and the shelter environment can be overwhelming for any dog, never mind a sensitive little sunshine soul like him. He's a big sweetheart and he's starting to come out of his shell and we just KNOW that there's a goofy knucklehead in there somewhere. Like most pitties, Fiddle is definitely food motivated and would do a number of questionable and/or illegal things for snacks. He hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but that could come with time. He's a good boy on a leash but can be a bit pull-y so we've been working with him on that. He's a quick learner so as long as you stay on top of it, he should be fine. Fiddle did previously live with other dogs and he's also done well with other dogs here. He's got the patience of a saint with dogs that want to be up in his business and he's also super respectful of boundaries so he has great dog manners. We're looking for a home without cats and with kids 12+ though exceptions can be made for the right family with dog/breed experience.Because he is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Meet Dulce! This little lady is so sweet that she'll give you cavities. There are less longing, yearning glances exchanged in Bridgerton than there are between Dulce and, like, everyone she meets. Dulce is rainbows and heart eyes and sunshine and wants to spend her days just gazing into your eyes lovingly while you scratch her ears and tell her she's the best girl in the whole world.Dulce is an eight year old Podengo and she weighs around 36lbs. She's a gentle soul and it shows in everything she does. She's gentle on a leash, gentle taking treats, gentle when she jumps up on you...and she WILL jump up on you. As soon as she meets you. She'll do the "run and jump" like it's Dirty Dancing. Your entire life will turn into a romcom if you adopt this dog. She'll want to be with you or on top of you or leaning against you at all times. Physical touch is definitely her love language.(Is food a love language? Because food is also her love language.)She has most likely had multiple litters throughout her life so we're looking for a family that will spoil her absolutely rotten the way she deserves. She did previously live with other dogs and presumably did well with them and, while we haven't officially tested her with other dogs here yet, we haven't seen any red flags. We aren't sure that she even knows what a cat is because one of our spicier cats (yes, Eclair...) hissed at her, she didn't even blink. We don't know if she's ever been around children so we would prefer kids 12+ but exceptions may be made for the right family. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Meet Marshmallow!Marshmallow is still very new to us and we're still very new to Marshmallow. She's a young girl, around two years old, 45lbs, and she's been done the tragic disservice of just...not being allowed to experience the world. That means that everything is absolutely TERRIFYING for Marshmallow right now.Your first instinct is going to be to coddle her. You absolutely CANNOT coddle her because she will fully take advantage of it and then she'll never get over her fears of...everything. We don't know much about her yet. We do know she's had at least one litter. We know that she lived with other dogs. We know that there's an absolute sweetheart underneath all of that fear and marshmallow fluff. Despite how genuinely terrified of everything she is (the wind, a single glove, etc), she hasn't shown any aggression or reactivity. She absolutely thrives outside, loves the snow, and loves big open spaces like our agility course. We're hoping that she'll come out of her shell as we work more with her and she gets comfortable with us so our requirements for her may change but right now we're looking for an adult only home with breed experience. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
