If you are interested in HAZEL or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. HAZEL is the most adorable girl ever! And she has the personality to match! She is gentle, loving and absolutely loves to snuggle. She can be a little shy at first, but once she knows and trusts you, she is the best cuddle buddy you could ever ask for. To know HAZEL is to love her, it is impossible not to do so. Most of HAZEL’s days are spent lounging on the couch, hanging in the backyard or snuggling in bed with her foster dads. HAZEL gets along well with other dogs and absolutely adores her doggie foster siblings. She fit into her foster family seamlessly and would be happiest in a home with at least one other pup friend. HAZEL is an absolute dream to live with. She minds her manners in the house, walks well on a leash and is a perfect passenger in the car. She also knows not to potty in the house and is well-behaved in her crate when her foster family is away. HAZEL’s forever family will feel like they hit the doggie jackpot with this precious baby! To see even more pictures of HAZEL, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5ubm6esm0slhgjj/AAC30eFhjOCP8mLF0uwIxutWa?dl=0 HAZEL is spayed, microchipped and up date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the midwest after she is officially adopted. For an adoption application on HAZEL click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Meet CHUNK! Saying he is handsome, is stating the obvious. He is also sweet, loyal, funny, and full of kisses. He is a true companion. CHUNK is incredibly smart and has a giant desire to please. He is the perfect pup for someone who wants a young dog, but would like to skip the tiny puppy training days. He knows not to potty in the house. He spends most of his days sunning in the back yard and hanging with his foster moms and siblings. At night he likes to hang out in the kitchen while dinner is being cooked, snuggling on the couch and curling up on his doggie bed while his people are binge watching their favorite shows. CHUNK does great with other pups! He is respectful of all of his foster siblings and truly enjoys their company. He also goes to doggie daycare where he has an exemplary report card. CHUNK is a moderate energy boy and would thrive most in a home with a yard to play in or with a forever parent who will take him to daycare and/or the dog park regularly He self entertains with toys like a champ and enjoys long naps after playtime. Story
Binky is estimated to have been born in June of 2022 & has topped out at about 40 pounds. She’s doing amazing with potty training, & when kept on a schedule, is nearly 100% accident-free. She sleeps quietly through the night. Crates are not Binky’s favorite; she does great in a playpen or free roam. She plays rough & sleeps hard. She lives with two big dogs & has become Queen Bee of the household. Binky will do best in a home with another dog who is either larger, extremely confident & will teach her boundaries or a dog of any size who will let her rule. Most importantly, she needs an energetic dog who can keep up with her. She could also be happy as an only dog with an active, experienced owner who knows how to set boundaries.Binky thinks cats are for chasing & will only be placed in a home with them if they’re tolerant of her. Binky does well with kids who are tolerant of her energy. If you’d like to meet this energetic cuddle bug, apply today!DATCP #483538

If you are interested in MACK or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. Introducing MACK! He is very sweet and devoted to those he loves. He’s also extremely well behaved in the home, completely house and crate trained. Even though MACK is really just a baby himself, approximately a year old, he isn't at all destructive. He wants so much to really truly belong to someone, and he will give them all the love and loyalty in the world in return. He is a cautious boy, it takes him a minute to warm up to new people and situations, but he handles his fear well and is getting better all the time. He’s great with other dogs and his confidence soars when with them. Therefore he can only go to a house that has at least one other dog. He is currently in his home with his foster mom who just adores him. She says he’s perfectly behaved with her dogs and is an absolute joy. All he needs is a little love, patience and a family to adore and trust for a lifetime. Story
AFFECTIONATE, PROTECTiVE, CUTE, AND SMARTMy name is Dylan & I am a 9-month-old shepherd/colie mix. My breed mix is a bit unusual but I think it is an advantage. Not only do I love to cuddle but I act as a guard dog as well. I will alert you when someone is coming around. I have a super soft medium coat but I don't seem to shed much. So I am told by my foster. I am fully housebroken and know come, sit, stay, & down commands. I know what no means as well. I will likely be a medium size dog. I am currently around 45 pounds and I am told I could be 60 lbs or so. I am getting socialized with my foster & do well. I do have a bit of a herding instinct but it has not been a problem.I am ready for a new forever home with the right family. I live with another medium 6-year-old dog now & with no problems (I do drive him a little crazy with my puppyishness if I'm honest} But I will outgrow that. I do not know anything about cats. I might like them I just don't know. But I seem to get along with everyone I meet & my foster has been correcting little things like jumping. I learn quickly though & don't do that much at all anymore. They tell me I am very smart & learn quickly. I would really like to meet you & see if I would fit into your family.DATCP#483538
