Story
Bear is a sheltie/border collie mix that I got when he was a 12 wk old puppy from a family in Wausau. He will turn 8 yrs old on August 29th 2025. He is very energetic dog and love to play frisbee and chase his giant ball around the yard. His prey drive is very high which makes it difficult for him to be around some cats (does fine with my cat, but not sure how he’d do with a new cat) Bear tolerates other dogs as long as they leave him alone (he’s lived with 2 other dogs but is picky about dogs he likes). I can tell he isn’t getting the physical and mental stimulation that he needs and he’s being grouchy towards my baby and has tried to snap at him. He likes older kids and loves playing ball with them but doesn’t like small kids, he’s just very bossy. I’d love for a family with older kids and either a farm or large size lot to take him. He just wants to chase things all day long and it’s been hard to keep up with his super high energy.

Story
Whiskey is a 5 year old (we think) Dutch shepherd mix. He is very sweet and loves snuggles on the couch but is not good with other dogs. Whiskey would love to be an only pet with someone who enjoys the outdoors. He is moderately active, house trained and crate trained but needs more obedience training. Whiskeys favorite things are raw bones, anything durable he can chew, taking little snacks gently from your hand, and sniffing ears. We are sad to rehome him, but we currently have to keep him separate from our other dogs and it is just too challenging to keep them all happy and safe. He would make a great solo pet!

Mr. Bean is an adorable dachshund mix & an all-around good boy! He is 2 years old, weighs 25 lbs., mostly good about going potty outside, & gets along with other dogs; cats are unknown. He's blind but gets around well; that said he needs to be watched around stairs & places he could fall. He is a very gentle dog & loves to snuggle, sit outside in the sun, & go for short walks. Mr. Bean is up to date on shots & microchipped, ready to find his forever home!DATCP#483538

Story
Meet Pizzazz, a quiet and gentle soul with a heart full of hope. Her fosters call her Pizzeria, Calzone, Callie, or sometimes Wishbone, because of her sweet markings and the new story she’s writing for herself. Pizzazz came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Texas, where nearly 100 dogs were crammed into a single trailer. When a fire broke out, many dogs perished. Somehow, against all odds, Pizzazz was one of the lucky ones. She’s now safe in Wisconsin and slowly learning what it means to feel secure. Every day, she gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more open to the kindness around her. She’s not loud (hasn't barked for her foster parents yet!) or attention-seeking, but if you sit quietly next to her, she’ll come close and look up at you with the softest eyes. She wants to connect. She just needs time.Pizzazz is crate trained and prefers to stay in it, where she feels safe. She does well with other calm dogs and cats. She will try and hide around more excitable dogs. She walks well on a leash, although she gets tired quickly and is still building up her strength. She also seems to be mostly potty trained and has only had one small accident since arriving. If you're someone who appreciates quiet companionship and the strength it takes to start over, Pizzazz just might be the dog you’ve been waiting for. We’d love to introduce you.DATCP #483538
