AJ is eight years old and weighs in around 55 pounds (would you believe genetic testing showed that he was 50% Chihuahua?!) He walks fantastically on a leash and loves to lay by you on the couch, but will also be pleasantly happy on a dog bed or the floor. He knows basic sign language for common commands. His favorite snack is popcorn, and he also enjoys peanut butter, plain yogurt, all dog cookies and snacks. He is very well house trained, and will let you know when he has to go out by staring and poking you with his nose, while making a small mooing sound! He does not love baths, but will tolerate them without much of a fight. He gets the zoomies after fresh air, and definitely after having a bowel movement. He`ll engage you in a game of tug for a short bit, but as otherwise is rather calm and lazy. AJ would do best in a home that isnt super chaotic. I am excelling at potty training and have even begun to alert when I need to go outside rather than just on a schedule like most puppies my age. This was a hard choice for my family to make. We’ve come to the realization that we are no longer the best parents for him. My wife and I both work and we have two littles at home (he does so well with kids, any other dogs, and cats), but he is at the bottom of the attention list. He needs someone that consistently play with him regularly, walks, and take proper care of him. I would not recommend anyone who is not prepared to take on a dog that comes with serious maintenance like Howard (shedding, brushing, large dog poop pickup, etc.) I cannot emphasize enough how sweet and wonderful he is. He truly is the best dog I’ve ever had, but I realize I am no longer providing him the level of care and attention that he deserves. Quick facts: -He is 5 -He is a gentle giant couch potato who loves snuggles -He’s house trained and can be left for several hours without an accident -He’s great with kids, other dogs, and cats

Sunny is a bright, sensitive soul that seems to love everyone she meets. She currently lives with other dogs, has lived with dog savvy cats and children. She will smile at you when she meets you or if she is somewhat embarrassed. While she would love to adventure with you most anywhere (long hikes, rides in the car, a good run, traveling, etc.)she is also game to curl up next to you at the end of the day for hugs and gentle kisses. Sunny tends towards submissive and very respectful to her canine friends. She would love to learn as much as you can teach her and is a quick study. And while she will happily jump up next to you on a couch or bed, she will not (to date) jump even an 18` high baby gate.She is crate trained, but safe to leave out. House trained. Has great recall to her name, as long as she hasn`t been cooped up too long. Her hearing then becomes selective until she burns some energy. She has NOT shown signs of herding. She will hunt and track squirrels through the tree tops, and if anything runs, she`ll be after it.
