Story
🌟 Meet Queen — A Young, Smart Girl Ready for the Right Kingdom 🌟 Queen is an 8-month-old spayed mixed breed who is looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can provide the structure, routine, and guidance she thrives with. She is crate, gate, leash, and potty trained, and is currently completing a board and train program where she is building strong foundational skills for home life. Queen knows sit, responds reliably to her name, and understands that “no” means stop and check back in for a reward. She is actively learning shake, down, place/platform, and self-regulation in social settings, as she can become overstimulated in busy or exciting environments. Queen is a sweet, friendly, and social dog with excellent potential. When given a predictable routine that includes rest time, enrichment, and structured walks, she settles well and shows her affectionate personality. Her trainer absolutely adores her and describes Queen as very cuddly, affectionate, and someone who genuinely enjoys being pet and connecting with her people. Per her trainer, Queen is dog social, but she has a very physical and persistent play style. Many dogs may find her play overwhelming or annoying, which is why she does best with friendly, confident dogs who are comfortable giving appropriate corrections. Her play style pairs especially well with bully breeds, boxers, and other dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble play and chase games in large, open areas. Because of this, Queen would not be a good fit for homes that frequently utilize dog parks or doggy daycare, as those environments tend to encourage overstimulation and mismatched play styles for her. To set Queen up for success, her ideal home includes: • No small children (she previously lived with kids, but less daily management will help her thrive) • No cats (she will chase) • One or more friendly, confident dogs • A confident, dog-savvy owner willing to work closely with WAAGR and our trainer during her transition Queen will be ready to move into her foster-to-adopt home the weekend of January 17th, following the completion of her board and train. She is not a “plug-and-play” puppy, but for the right home, Queen will be an incredibly rewarding companion — affectionate, loyal, and full of promise. 💛 Foster-to-adopt ensures support every step of the way. Story
Nala was found on the side of the highway in AL and was brought to a rescue here in WI. We brought her home in winter of 2017, when she was about 2 yrs old, and she had no idea what to think about the snow! Nala has been a part of our family for 8 years. She is a huge sweetheart who love to cuddle and be a couch a potato, but she still enjoys walks and playing fetch and hunting for small animals in the yard. Nala knows basic commands, walks great on and off leash, doesn't beg for food or counter surf. She is afraid of storms and will shake with heavy panting. Nala has developed some bad separation anxiety and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day. Her anxiety has caused her to become destructive while we are at work. She is not crate trained and has hurt herself previously trying to get out of one. Nala gets along with other dogs, kids and babies and even chickens She truly has been a great dog to have in the family.

Story
We’ve had Koba since he was a puppy. He’s been a great companion and great around kids and other dogs but we have 2 other dogs as well that are trained to play competitive AKC sports and now we’re also expecting a baby soon. We’d just love for Koba to go to home who has more time for him. If I were to describe him, I’d say he is a super laid back dog that is a little more independent than most other labs. I imagine him being great with someone who is older and just looking for someone to hang out with around the house.

Story
Ivy is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her humans. She forms deep bonds with her people and loves being close — whether that’s following you from room to room, curling up on the couch, or snuggling under the covers at bedtime. Being near her people is where she’s happiest. She has a fun, playful side too! Ivy can get delightfully energetic, bouncing around like a pinball when she’s excited, but she always settles back into her loving, cuddly self. She’s a wonderful mix of snugly and spirited — always fun, always full of love. Ivy would thrive best in a home where she can be the only pet and truly be the center of attention. In that environment, she is gentle, devoted, and incredibly loving. She listens well to commands like sit, stay, and come, and since she’s food-motivated, training is a breeze (especially if treats are involved!). Ivy is up to date on all vaccinations and is very easy to care for. Finding a new home for Ivy has been a difficult decision, but our
