Story
🌟 Meet Queen — A Young, Smart Girl Ready for the Right Kingdom 🌟 Queen is an 8-month-old spayed mixed breed who is looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can provide the structure, routine, and guidance she thrives with. She is crate, gate, leash, and potty trained, and is currently completing a board and train program where she is building strong foundational skills for home life. Queen knows sit, responds reliably to her name, and understands that “no” means stop and check back in for a reward. She is actively learning shake, down, place/platform, and self-regulation in social settings, as she can become overstimulated in busy or exciting environments. Queen is a sweet, friendly, and social dog with excellent potential. When given a predictable routine that includes rest time, enrichment, and structured walks, she settles well and shows her affectionate personality. Her trainer absolutely adores her and describes Queen as very cuddly, affectionate, and someone who genuinely enjoys being pet and connecting with her people. Per her trainer, Queen is dog social, but she has a very physical and persistent play style. Many dogs may find her play overwhelming or annoying, which is why she does best with friendly, confident dogs who are comfortable giving appropriate corrections. Her play style pairs especially well with bully breeds, boxers, and other dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble play and chase games in large, open areas. Because of this, Queen would not be a good fit for homes that frequently utilize dog parks or doggy daycare, as those environments tend to encourage overstimulation and mismatched play styles for her. To set Queen up for success, her ideal home includes: • No small children (she previously lived with kids, but less daily management will help her thrive) • No cats (she will chase) • One or more friendly, confident dogs • A confident, dog-savvy owner willing to work closely with WAAGR and our trainer during her transition Queen will be ready to move into her foster-to-adopt home the weekend of January 17th, following the completion of her board and train. She is not a “plug-and-play” puppy, but for the right home, Queen will be an incredibly rewarding companion — affectionate, loyal, and full of promise. 💛 Foster-to-adopt ensures support every step of the way. See the pictures and videos below. ⬇️ Please share so we can help find her perfect home! Co-pilot Vinnie is here to help get you to the dog treats store! Have you ever been?! It's a wonderful place full of every treat you can imagine! He's happy to show you all his favorites. If you adopt Vinnie, you can buckle up for the best couch cuddles, the cutest snores (he's told it's only cute when dogs snore) and all the adventures! Please pack treats, he loves treats! Vinnie is a 6 year old, 77 pound pitty mix. He's potty trained, knows how to sit, down and crawl! Have you seen a large dog crawl? It's adorable! He's working on walking politely but is a quick study and loves to learn! Vinnie would do best as an only dog, no cats either please. He'd do best in a home with kids ages 12+, he may know how old he is but he sure doesn't know how big he is. While he may prefer the only dog lifestyle, you'll be forever entertained by Vinny and his antics. What are you waiting for? Your greatest treat store adventure awaits! Adopt Vinnie, you'll see what we mean!

Story
Since you are reading this, you must be on the hunt for a new best friend. What a coincidence! So am I! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Arthur and I am a little over a year old and approx 55lbs. I found myself at the puppy pound in July, broke out in August, and am ready to settle in to my furever home! I was lucky to find a foster home with another dog friend to hang out with and he showed me all the fun things that come with living the good life, in a loving home. But he just got adopted (lucky guy) and now I’m waiting for my turn! So let me tell you a little more about me… Not to brag but people tell me I have the softest fur and the most stunning eyes. They say that dogs are man’s (or woman’s) best friend – well I agree! And I am THE best friend around town. I love with all my heart and all my body too – seriously, get ready for snuggles and kisses! But I don’t just like people – I love meeting new dog friends too! I’m not sure I’ve met another dog that I didn’t like. I don’t need doggy daycare, another friend in the home, or to go with you to hang out with your friends/family and their pups, but I’m up for the adventure if you are! However, I prefer a house without felines, they are just not for me. I also walk well on a leash, enjoy chewing on bones, and napping (preferably on a big bunch of blankets, being the king I am). I love treats and that is what motivates me best to learn new tricks. I am a good balance of playful, loving, silly, and timid. I actually enjoy being in my crate and like to spend time in the yard just chilling while you work on chores or just chill with me too! Still reading? Well then apply to adopt me already! https://www.caninecupids.org/adopt

Story
Grover is a six-year-old mixed breed, medium-sized dog. (Pointer, herder, lab, pit, and more). Originally rescued from Oklahoma 4 years ago. Grover is friendly, enjoys being petted, and loves to run outside and fetch balls. He will protect the home and owner (he does not like unexpected/unknown visitors at the door, or delivery people.) He knows basic commands (sit, down, stay). He does not jump up onto furniture or steal food. Grover is up to date on all vaccinations and had his annual check-up in June. Grover will lay down and watch us do yoga in our dining room. He gets along well with children. Our grandson lays down besides Grover and reads to him.
