Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bella hopes she and her stuffed animal will find a forever home soon! Bella is a Great Pyrenees and is about two years old. She currently weighs 75lbs, is up to date on her shots, is microchipped, spayed, housetrained, partially crate trained, and good on leash. Bella gets along well with other dogs and is mildly curious about cats. Most importantly, she loves her people above everything else! She has been around children a few times during her time in foster care and has done well with them. Bella will thrive in a home that can provide stability and consistency in her life. If you’re retired or looking for a work-from-home assistant, we’ve got the girl for you! Bella needs a consistent lifestyle due to her PTSD. She is currently taking anti-anxiety medication for this, and to ensure she remains on the path to recovery, we want to keep her on that medication for the next two months. WAAGR wants to set both Bella and her new family up for success by treating her case as a foster with the intent to adopt during that time frame. Additionally, a fenced-in yard would be great for this gentle soul and someone willing to give her lots of attention! Visit our site to apply to adopt!

Story
A personal situation has arisen that has necessitated the need to rehome Bella. She is a beautiful, friendly and exuberant girl, who loves people, toys, and FOOD! Bella is very treat motivated and has learned a lot using that approach. She is goofy, entertaining, and keeps us laughing at her silly antics. Bella walks pretty well on a leash but does pull when passing other people and dogs. She is a fast learner. In three months, she's gone from no training at all, to sit, lay down, and wait politely for her food at mealtime. Bella is housebroken and crate trained. She's high energy when new people come around but settles down after a short while. Bella is good with kids but would be a bit much around toddlers or babies due to her size and energy level. Bella is a rough and tumble player with other dogs, but it's all in fun. Because she has a strong prey drive, a home with no other small pets would be best.

Story
Meet Vern Vern is a mixed breed dog that was adopted through WAAGR as a puppy by a wonderful family. Recently, Vern's family underwent quite a bit of reconfiguration, and now he shares his home with two kiddos under the age of 5. This has put a lot of stress on Vern, and it forced his family to make a really tough call. They love Vern, but they can tell how uncomfortable he is trying to be the best boy while sharing his personal space with small children. We think it would be best for Vern to live in a home with no children under 10. Vern has always been a little stressed by thunder or fireworks, but his family puts his Thundershirt© on and he goes and hides and that seems to help reduce his anxiety. Vern is house trained, does not require a crate, and has been said to get along with dogs of all sizes, but is currently the only pet and enjoys being the focus of all of your love. Any and all introductions to other pets should be done slowly, after Vern has had some time to decompress and get used to his new surroundings. He would love to find a home that is relatively quiet, with a fenced yard and someone to help him get regular exercise. Vern also knows his basic commands, and boasts a pretty impressive "stay". He is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. If you think you have a spot in your home for Vern, please apply on our Web site.

Story
Are you looking to have your dog skills and experience challenged? Do you have the patience of a saint? Then Mighty is ready to test you. Seriously, he’s an 8.6 magnitude earthquake in a city without building codes. He is a rainstorm on a herd of Gremlins, after midnight… with a plate of food. For example: 1. Speaking of rainstorms – he hates them. As well as fireworks. Just about any loud, new, or odd noise scares him. He is even afraid of his farts. 2. He has the leash manners like some of those shoppers on Black Friday. You know, where the store is giving away an item to the first 200 guests. He just gets so excited sometimes he feels the need to jump up and grab the leash and walk himself. 3. Mighty has an allergy or several. No chicken for sure and probably no other poultry. Grains make him itchy, and sometimes he gets pink. 4. He’s one of those “blocky headed” dogs… pit balls, pot bois, pibbles, poblanos, whatever. 5. He’s nervous with new people, and he warms up to women quicker than men. Do you know that site with all the dogs who love the UPS guy? Mighty will not likely be making an appearance on that site. Here are some things we also know about Mighty. He completely loves his people. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. He likes to make new people friends, too, and that takes some time and treats… and those are treats without caramel color, because you know, the allergies. He loves attention, training, and showing his set of learned skills. He likes drinking from the hose, being outside with his people, and helping with yard work. If you have sticks, he’ll chew them. If you’re pulling weeds, he’ll shake them and spit them out…mostly. With patience, proper introductions, and some training, Mighty possibly could live with another dog. He previously lived with a female dog and a cat! He has not had the best of experiences with other animals since then, so we tend to err on the side of caution. We’ve loved this guy from the moment we saw him tied to a tree with a note stating, “My name is Mighty, …just tell me it’s OK Needs a good home and lots of love” We’ve come a long way from where he wouldn’t go near the car, wouldn’t go up or down the stairs, and only went outside to do his business. He now, cannot wait for the next car ride and uses the stairs like Rocky. (Except for the basement stairs, they’re still scary.) We’re not going to lie though; his forever home is one in a million. His new home will require experience, management, smarts, time and dedication. As they say, nothing worthwhile comes easy and nothing that comes easy is worthwhile. Mighty is a sweet, playful, loving dog, and is very loyal in his devotion to his people. He has quite a few quirks, but hey, who doesn’t? He has a long life ahead of him, and deserves an active, loving home that will always tell him, it’s OK.

Story
Meet Waylon! Waylon is a wonderful 4 1/2-year-old medium energy Retriever mix who loves walking, all things food, and patrolling the yard for squirrels, rabbits, and chippys. Waylon is both house- and crate-trained, rides well in the car, and knows basic commands like sit, down, paw, and wait. He has a goofy, slightly mischievous personality that is guaranteed to make you smile all day long!New people can make Waylon nervous, so a dog-savvy home with older kids (13+) is a must. No cats! Meet the wonderful Mack! Mack is an 8 year old Rottweiler mix. Mack is a great mix of playful and chill. He loves going on his walks and playing with his toys, but also loves relaxing and hanging around. Mack is a bigger boy, weighing about 90 lbs, so there is a lot to love. Mack is considered low to medium energy so he would enjoy a lifestyle that matches his energy. Mack would do best in a house without dogs, but would be fine with kids. Mack is housetrained and loves chewing on his toys and balls. He truly is a sweet pup!You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about him on JR's Pups-N-Stuff's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/.
