Story
Sky has had a long hard life. She was found as a stray in Los Angeles, and brought into a high kill shelter. She was minutes from being euthanized for space when volunteer had posted a reel on Instagram asking someone to come save her. An adopter in Wisconsin saw her last minute and worked with a LA rescue to pull her and save her life. She stayed with a foster while she had surgery on her teeth, was spayed and brought up to date on vaccines. There was another dog in the foster home that she was okay with. After being transported and arriving in Wisconsin she started to bond with the couple in the home but was very stressed by the other dog. They have a two year old German Wirehair pointer that is full of energy and unfortunately that is extremely stressful for Sky. After working with a trainer and talking with the rescue it was decided she would be best as an only dog. When she’s along she’s an amazingly calm dog that just wants to be near you and feel safe.

For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Meet Sienna Sienna made it out of the Georgia kill shelter and safely arrived in Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on November 15 — all thanks to the incredible support of those who helped her get her second chance. She’s now settling into her foster home and doing wonderfully. This sweet girl hasn’t had an easy start to life. Sienna came to the shelter with her mom, Amber — one of our previously adopted Mutt Life dogs. Before rescue, they were neglected and living outside, left to fend for themselves. Despite everything she’s been through, Sienna’s spirit is shining brighter every day. In her foster home, Sienna has shown just how smart and adaptable she is. She is now potty trained, crate trained, and gets along beautifully with the four dogs and two cats she lives with. She absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. She’s goofy, energetic, and happiest when she’s running around, wrestling, or playing chase with her dog friends. Sienna also loves kids and has been gentle and sweet with the ones she’s met. She can be a little timid at first, and she may need a bit of time to adjust to her new home when she’s adopted — but after everything she’s endured in her short two years, who could blame her? Give her patience, kindness, and love, and she will return it tenfold. This bright, affectionate girl is ready for her forever family. Could that be you? For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org Meet Lainey Lainey came to us in November 2024 as a 3-month-old puppy from a high-intake Georgia shelter. She was adopted shortly after arriving, but her first home wasn’t able to provide the structure, training, and routine a young, energetic dog like her needs. When she became more than they could manage, she was surrendered to the Sheboygan Humane Society. Mutt Life Dog Rescue took her back into our care, and she’s now thriving in a loving foster home. Lainey is getting socialization and positive experiences with both people and other dogs. She is currently dog-friendly, playful, eager to learn, and she also does well with kids. Lainey recently attended our Farm and Fleet Meet & Greet Holiday Event, where she did exceptionally well meeting all the dogs and people. She interacted gently and confidently, and she was especially great with children ages 3–13. She took treats politely and enjoyed all the attention. In her foster home, Lainey has been respectful in the house, fully potty trained, kennel trained, and she sleeps soundly in her own bed through the night. She also does well with the three resident dogs. Lainey is settling into a routine beautifully and showing her sweet, affectionate, and fun personality every day.
