Story
CHANCE – have you ever seen a more handsome fella? Just a few things about this sweet guy. The vet believes that Chance is between 18mo - 2yrs old and weighs 59lbs. • He is heart worm negative and neutered. •He is super sweet and gentle - wants to cuddle and be near his person. •He is dog-friendly (the foster doesn’t have cats, so we are not certain if he’s cat-friendly) •He is people-friendly to everyone he has met. Foster does not have small children, but he has been fine around children on walks. Due to his size and youth, he might knock down small children, but he is not aggressive. •He is house broken. Even in the rain and snow he has let us know he needs to go out. •He is a little timid to new people at first, but warms up quickly. •He very rarely barks. •He has learned to sit, walk on a leash, and “wait” for his food bowl to be put down. •He is very food motivated, so can be easily trained with treat rewards. He is not reactive when eating. •He can be possessive over certain toys with a low, warning growl if another dog tries to take it from him. •He is not interested in fetching a ball, but loves chew toys and antlers. • He can be very active, but is also happy cuddled up with his person. •He would do great in a house with another dog, but would be fine as an only dog also. Once adopted Chance will travel via private transport (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Everyone meet Willow. Willow has the most beautiful chocolate coat. She is currently 4 and a half years old and weighs appx 45lbs. Willow is spayed and completely house trained. Willow is out of all the puppy stages and is just a joy to have around. She gets along with all dogs big and small. Willow pulls a bit on leash but loves walks and is a great car riding companion. This girl can’t get enough belly rubs and is usually found walking around with a toy in her mouth. Willow can be a bit timid on meeting new people but it doesn’t take much to get her to warm up. She could use someone who’s going to be patient with her when meeting new people. Once adopted Willow will travel via Rescue Vet pet transport to a location closest to you. (transport cost is $160.00) If you would like to make this adorable girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
DOBBIE!!! The best way to understand this quirky little guy is to Google search Dobbie from Harry Potter. My son named him and it's THE PERFECT FIT for him and he knows his name! He's wildly entertaining, flits through the house like a hummingbird. His only bad habit is that he's a counter surfer but he's so cute when he does it that he rarely gets in trouble and he's never actually gotten anything. I think he's just curious what's up there. To live this guy you have to know his backstory . We pulled his sister from a rural shelter and she was very well socialized and got adopted within two weeks. The Director of the Shelter reached out and said you know we have his brother? I said no. In comes Dobbie and he is nothing like his sister. Human touch was like nails on a chalkboard for him, he had no idea what a leash was, and he was petrified of all humans. Fast forward four months. He is a perfect gentleman on leash, he loves attending doggy daycare, he is perfectly house trained, he doesn't love the kennel, but he will sleep in his little dog bed right next to his people. and he SEEKS OUT human affection! It has been the most beautiful and rewarding transformation, and he is little nub tail never stops wagging. He becomes very attached to his humans these days. He loves other dogs, and he loves to run and play in the yard. If you couldn't tell by now, he is my Foster and he's with me in Memphis, Tennessee. Once adopted, he will travel on rescue vet transport to his new forever family. They travel each weekend to the northeast, leaving Memphis, Tennessee Friday mornings around 6 AM and making delivery stops along the way all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. if you would like to make Dobbie a part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Also, please note, he is listed as a small dog because he is right at 30 pounds, he's tall and very thin and petite in nature. Transport is an additional $185. PS that last photo was taken through a window, so although he looks dirty, he is jet black, and that was the best picture capturing his ears. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

STOP! STOP! STOP! The cuteness is unfathomable! Imagine a pint sized nugget with a squeaky little yodel and a hotdog body. Seriously you can't imagine it from the photos. Brooke is approx 8 weeks old and 4ish lbs. She is in a foster home in Memphis , Tn with other foster doggies and lots of comings and goings so very well adjusted to noises like vacuum cleaners, barking dogs, washing machines and general daily chaos . She is kennel trained although being separated from all other dogs will initially be hard for her because she's used to having company at all times. Once Brooke is adopted, she will travel to the northeast via Rescue Vet Transport. ( additional cost of $185). They leave Memphis, Tennessee each weekend, Friday mornings, usually around 6 AM and make transport stops along the route all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. If you would like to make her a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. As always , thank you for choosing to adopt! You will find that out team of volunteers are very responsive so be prepared to adopt before submitting your application. We spend countless hours reviewing applications and calling vets so we want to make sure you're prepared to adopt before we invest this time! Side note, house trained refers to peepad trained! https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
YARA!!!! So much to say about this sweet sweet soul. She has the cutest under bite that lights up your day. It is impossible to stay angry at that face. Yara is approximately 1 and a half years old. She is spayed, house trained and kennel trained. Yara does great with all other dogs. She even helps her foster mom with the foster pups. She just loves keeping them rounded up and rolls over on her back so they can get to her face to play. Yara, being just one year, does have energy. She loves her walks but can pull just a bit when excited by another dog. She gets sooooo excited when the leash comes out. Yara is great in the car and her foster mom really has no complaints. If you won’t let her in your lap she lays at your feet with her head on them. She makes a nice foot warmer or blanket which ever you wish. Yara would be wonderful in a home with another dog with energy to exhaust. They could tire each other out then settle in for nice long naps. Once adopted Yara will travel via private RescueVet transport co. to a location closest to you.
