Story
We adopted Sadie from someone when she was 6 months old. She is now slightly over a year old, but unfortunately our lives are too busy to be able to keep up with her needs. She enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, playing with toys and getting all the attention. She is energetic and will need someone and a good family that can give her the attention and play that she needs.

Meet Jetson! Looking for a best friend? A shadow who will happily follow you everywhere? A lap dog? A dog who is friendly to everyone he meets? Jetson is your guy!Jetson (aka Jet) is a 12 lb, 4 year old mini poodle. He is neutered & up-to-date on his shots. He currently lives in a foster home with two dogs of similar size & two cats. When I tell you I have not seen a pup more gentle with cats, I really mean it! He is THE SWEETEST. Jet is up for anything his human is. He is great in a car, walks well on a leash, & will play fetch forever if you let him!Jet is working on his potty training & knows that outside is where he does his business. And, in typical doggy fashion, he likes to bark at people & dogs who walk past his house. When it’s time to relax, this boy wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you or snuggle in your lap! Story
Hi ya, I'm Louie!!👋 I'm about 4 years old and weigh 33 lbs. I've been in my foster home now for a couple of weeks, so my foster mom knows it's time to update what she's learned about me.First the basics. I haven't had an accident yet, I'm crate trained but trusted outside of it (after I settled in), I'm good on leash walks (until there's something furry for me to chase!) & I like being your copilot on car rides. I was good with the cats in the TX shelter where I came from, but I do prefer all the dog attention on me so I'd be best as an only dog. I like to play fetch a few times, but I'm not really a toy dog. I've carried around a few things in my foster home, I didn't chew them, I just left them somewhere else.I'm a typical Frenchie in that I think it's my right to know (and manage) what's going on at all times, & I'm very influenced by my environment. I had a hard time in the shelter, it was too busy & things were always changing, that stressed me out & I was really hyper. But now that I'm in my foster home, I know the schedule, I have a predictable routine, & my foster family has taught me that they are in charge & I don't have to handle everything by myself. So here I'm calm, relaxed, & after my morning & evening walks I'm happy to hang under my foster mom's desk or snooze outside on the patio, even better when I can snuggle in a lap & snore away! I've been to a couple of adoption events, I felt the need to bark when the other dogs weren't behaving themselves, but was calm & relaxed when the other dogs were the same. I did best meeting older kids who didn't bring alot of excitement, cause then I got all excited too & jumped around. And I am just a little bit partial to the guys I meet, I seem to get away with more when I'm around them.😆But if you want an affectionate, opinionated, snuggly, smart, stubborn & silly boy - AND you're good at setting some rules & boundaries, I think we could have a wonderful life together!🤞 Apply at Rescuegang.orgDATCP#483538

Story
Meet Scooter! I’m a 7‑year‑old, 25lb Havanese mix with a clean bill of health. I recently lost my owner & I’m still adjusting. I’m looking for a quiet home where I can be the only dog & soak up all the attention. I would do best with someone who works from home or who is home often. My adoption profile gets a lot of attention (because let’s face it, I’m adorable) but underneath my good looks, I’m an anxious guy that gets quite overwhelmed in new environments & around new people. It can take me several weeks to fully warm up in a new home. I need someone who is patient and experienced with skittish dogs like me & will give me the time and space I need to settle in. The anxiety meds I’m on as well as a few drops of Rescue Remedy that get added to my water every day are helping a lot.Affection & playtime are on my terms, especially in the beginning. But once you’ve earned my trust (and you’ll work hard for it), I’m a real sweetheart that will follow you around until it’s time to snuggle up for the night. I love to nap and lounge the day away and although I don’t require a whole lot of exercise, I do enjoy a couple daily walks. I also enjoy running zoomies around the yard and rough housing with my foster mom on the couch. I might be an older pooch but I still have plenty of energy and will need an adopter that can keep up.I’m a smart boy who’s treat motivated and I would benefit greatly from learning a few more commands or tricks to increase my confidence. Like most anxious dogs, I need a pack leader that is loving but firm, so I don’t regress in my behavior. I was recently trained to wait in my “spot” until the humans are done eating their meals, then I’m rewarded with a yummy treat. They were impressed with how quickly I caught on.I sleep soundly through the night (preferably next to you), and I’ll go potty outside as I’m supposed to. With an established routine, accidents are no issue. I get along fine with friendly dogs but I don’t care to engage much; I prefer to be near my humans. Cats are unknown but I’d probably just ignore them, too. Since smaller children make me nervous, older dog savvy kids only please. If you think you’ll be my perfect match, apply to meet me today!DATCP #483538
