Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am Miss Jade.  When first coming to the rescue I needed time to decompress from a bad situation, but I am now learning to trust humans more and more.  Since my time with my foster momma I have blossomed into a really nice lady and everyday I get better and better.  I still am very shy until I get to know you a little better and then beware, I will always be in your lap!!  Because of my situation, I am not good around other dogs or cats and would do best in a home with a single woman.   As far as training, I know the basics but would love to learn more, I am really good in the house alone and non-destructive.  I love to run in wide open spaces but a dog park at this time would not be good for me.  I hope you would consider me even though I have to be an only pet and give me the loving home I deserve! I truly am a sweetheart..... Adoption Fee for Jade:  $400.00 which includes spay or neuter, microchipping and all up to date vetting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 5, 2023, 9:38 am

Story
Meet the world's happiest dog. Jim is always ready to play. He loves a good walk, dog parks, and nose games. He is very smart and ready to please. Jim would love a fenced yard but is equally happy on a tie out. Jim's primary breed is Fox Red Lab mixed with something else; most likely hound since he came from the South. He is a natural bird dog but he'll also scare off a rabbit or squirrel that enters his yard. He was trained at Think Pawsitive and knows commands and hand signals. He has a collapsible kennel for traveling or camping. He has lots of toys, leashes, a harness, a dremel for his nails, a lick mat, and doody bags. Jim loves a toy with a good honking sound. He enjoys getting those squeakers out of the toys! We are relocating and cannot take Jim with us, but we know there is a home ready to celebrate his 8th birthday this handsome, happy boy.

Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We got Kylo from a rehoming page on Facebook. The couple had said that they went back to work and he spent all day every day in the kennel for the first 8 months of his life. When we got him we found out he was severely abused and neglected. Sadly recently he lost his front leg from a dog bite, and is now a tripawed. He has fear-based aggression. He does not like majority of men he will bark and bite out of fear. And he is scared of fast movements to children in the home will not be okay with him. We are looking for a home where someone will be home majority of the time. A quiet home that is patient and understands he has anxiety and PTSD. He has anxiety medication that he takes every morning. Kylo will require an experienced owner who understands that he will nip and bite in a stressful situation. He is an amazing boy at home when it is only his family home, but if there are many guests in and out he will be stressed so he needs a calm environment. He is a cuddle bug and needs love!

Story
Bella hopes she and her stuffed animal will find a forever home soon! Bella is a Great Pyrenees and is about two years old. She currently weighs 75lbs, is up to date on her shots, is microchipped, spayed, housetrained, partially crate trained, and good on leash. Bella gets along well with other dogs and is mildly curious about cats. Most importantly, she loves her people above everything else! She has been around children a few times during her time in foster care and has done well with them. Bella will thrive in a home that can provide stability and consistency in her life. If you’re retired or looking for a work-from-home assistant, we’ve got the girl for you! Bella needs a consistent lifestyle due to her PTSD. She is currently taking anti-anxiety medication for this, and to ensure she remains on the path to recovery, we want to keep her on that medication for the next two months. WAAGR wants to set both Bella and her new family up for success by treating her case as a foster with the intent to adopt during that time frame. Additionally, a fenced-in yard would be great for this gentle soul and someone willing to give her lots of attention! Visit our site to apply to adopt!

Story
A personal situation has arisen that has necessitated the need to rehome Bella. She is a beautiful, friendly and exuberant girl, who loves people, toys, and FOOD! Bella is very treat motivated and has learned a lot using that approach. She is goofy, entertaining, and keeps us laughing at her silly antics. Bella walks pretty well on a leash but does pull when passing other people and dogs. She is a fast learner. In three months, she's gone from no training at all, to sit, lay down, and wait politely for her food at mealtime. Bella is housebroken and crate trained. She's high energy when new people come around but settles down after a short while. Bella is good with kids but would be a bit much around toddlers or babies due to her size and energy level. Bella is a rough and tumble player with other dogs, but it's all in fun. Because she has a strong prey drive, a home with no other small pets would be best.
