Story
Wallace is a good boy. We have had him for about 6-7 years. My son moved out to college and Wallace has gotten out a few times. We love him, but I work too much and my better half has health issues and can't wrangle the pup if he gets outside. He is healthy. He had a hot spot under his ear about 3-4 years ago, but that's it. He loves playing catch and is a good walking companion.

Story
Lulu is a 4 year old F1b Mini Goldendoodle with a Merle coat. We have had her since she was an 8 week old puppy, and got her from a reputable breeder. She mostly loves to curl up on the couch and will climb on your lap any chance she gets. She also loves walks and is a good outdoor companion if you like hiking/walking. Unfortunately, she seems to get easily annoyed by our kids, and has nipped at them more than once, drawing blood. While she is small, thus her bite is not extreme, we feel it’s best for her to live in a home without any children. She gets along with some dogs, but tends to be more of an alpha dog, so it would be best for her to not be in a home with other dogs either. She also seems to dislike anything with an engine, so can sometimes “lunge” at cars while walking. We believe that is something that can be trained out of her, but we haven’t made a huge effort. We still love her a lot, and it has been an extremely hard decision to rehome her, but feel it is best.

Story
Bartleby here! I’m guessed to be about 1 1/2 year old & a border collie mix, & I’ve topped out at about 55lbs. Mom says I’m a very good boy. I sleep quietly through the night, & my manners are impeccable. I get along with my doggy foster siblings - all various sizes & personalities. I don’t live with any cats, but I’ve had interactions with them & am very respectful. I’ll do best in a home with kids over 10 or younger ones who know to be patient with me as I’m a very shy boy until I warm up. Another confident, energetic, & similar-sized dog is mandatory for me - I always look to my foster siblings to tell me what to do in a new situation & they help me feel safe. My new family will need to be patient as I come out of my shell, but the reward is worth the wait. I’m the sweetest boy & love being near my people. I’m looking for a very special family who is willing to go at my pace instead of forcing me to go at theirs. I need a calm home where I can feel safe & continue building my confidence on my time.DATCP# 483538

Story
Tyler is an 8-year-old mini poodle who loves to cuddle & sleep! Though he is a very chill dog, he is also friendly with small & large dogs. He especially loves large dogs! He is crate trained but does sometimes mark in the house & we are working on leash walking as well. Tyler is a very gentle boy. Though he is still nervous & fearful around people, you can tell he really wants to spend time together. He is looking for a home that will spoil him with comfy beds & lots of lap time!DATCP# 483538

Story
Merlin is a wonderful dog & very loved in her foster home. She’s a Chow Chow, & her adopters should have some understanding of her breed. Although she warms up quickly, she tends to be cautious in the beginning & occasionally growls out of fear. Families with older children will be considered on a case by case basis. Children will need to be able to control their behavior around her. She’s done well with the dogs she’s met, but after raising her puppies she might also love to be the only pet getting all of the attention. She loves to go on walks, usually keeping a loose leash & she doesn’t bark when passing other people or dogs. She’s not been around cats, but she’s very interested in the small critters like squirrels & bunnies that she’s seen outside & might want to chase a cat. She’s calm & relaxed at home, but also is up for a little playtime. She’s mostly potty trained & does okay in her crate, but also has been trusted to not get into trouble when given free roam. Merlin has bilateral medially luxating patellas- grade 3 and 4. Although this doesn’t appear to have an affect on her quality of life now, she could need surgical intervention in the future. Applicants are encouraged to consult their veterinarian to learn more about what the long term care could entail before applying. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, apply to meet Merlin!DATCP#483538
