Story
Wallace is a good boy. We have had him for about 6-7 years. My son moved out to college and Wallace has gotten out a few times. We love him, but I work too much and my better half has health issues and can't wrangle the pup if he gets outside. He is healthy. He had a hot spot under his ear about 3-4 years ago, but that's it. He loves playing catch and is a good walking companion.

Story
Are you looking to have your dog skills and experience challenged? Do you have the patience of a saint? Then Mighty is ready to test you. Seriously, he’s an 8.6 magnitude earthquake in a city without building codes. He is a rainstorm on a herd of Gremlins, after midnight… with a plate of food. For example: 1. Speaking of rainstorms – he hates them. As well as fireworks. Just about any loud, new, or odd noise scares him. He is even afraid of his farts. 2. He has the leash manners like some of those shoppers on Black Friday. You know, where the store is giving away an item to the first 200 guests. He just gets so excited sometimes he feels the need to jump up and grab the leash and walk himself. 3. Mighty has an allergy or several. No chicken for sure and probably no other poultry. Grains make him itchy, and sometimes he gets pink. 4. He’s one of those “blocky headed” dogs… pit balls, pot bois, pibbles, poblanos, whatever. 5. He’s nervous with new people, and he warms up to women quicker than men. Do you know that site with all the dogs who love the UPS guy? Mighty will not likely be making an appearance on that site. Here are some things we also know about Mighty. He completely loves his people. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. He likes to make new people friends, too, and that takes some time and treats… and those are treats without caramel color, because you know, the allergies. He loves attention, training, and showing his set of learned skills. He likes drinking from the hose, being outside with his people, and helping with yard work. If you have sticks, he’ll chew them. If you’re pulling weeds, he’ll shake them and spit them out…mostly. With patience, proper introductions, and some training, Mighty possibly could live with another dog. He previously lived with a female dog and a cat! He has not had the best of experiences with other animals since then, so we tend to err on the side of caution. We’ve loved this guy from the moment we saw him tied to a tree with a note stating, “My name is Mighty, …just tell me it’s OK Needs a good home and lots of love” We’ve come a long way from where he wouldn’t go near the car, wouldn’t go up or down the stairs, and only went outside to do his business. He now, cannot wait for the next car ride and uses the stairs like Rocky. (Except for the basement stairs, they’re still scary.) We’re not going to lie though; his forever home is one in a million. His new home will require experience, management, smarts, time and dedication. As they say, nothing worthwhile comes easy and nothing that comes easy is worthwhile. Mighty is a sweet, playful, loving dog, and is very loyal in his devotion to his people. He has quite a few quirks, but hey, who doesn’t? He has a long life ahead of him, and deserves an active, loving home that will always tell him, it’s OK.

Story
Hello from the beautiful Lucinda! I have the most beautiful brindle coat, the sweetest eyes, and walk really well on a leash! I love a good walk so I can sniff and check out things. When it snows it's even better as I love to romp around the snow like a bunny and just dig my nose in! I love people, especially the ones that give the good butt scratches, I really lean into those! I can be dog selective, but that's only because I'm particular about my friends. Normally, a lady doesn't tell her weight, but I'm around 60 lbs, and just an overall happy girl! I'm looking for a walking/running/hiking partner and someone I can show how sweet I am! Since I am a bigger girl and can get excited, small kids might not be best in my home. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $375All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Introducing Waylon, a 5 ½ year old lovable retriever mix in search of his forever home - he's been waiting at the shelter for 1,116 days. Though initially cautious around new faces, Waylon thrives in a stable environment with regular exercise. With guidance, he's able to build trust and would be the ultimate companion. He enjoys leisurely walks, splashing in kiddie pools, and soaking up the sun. He's adept in basic commands, house-trained, and relishes car rides. While he prefers older children and a dog-savvy household, he's not fond of cats. Waylon may be selective with canine friends but is known to be friendly with proper introductions. Neutered, vaccinated, and in good health, he only requires a supplement for slight joint stiffness. If you're ready to open your heart, Waylon is eagerly waiting to bring joy to your home. You can also watch for stories, pictures, and videos about him on JR's Pups-N-Stuff's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $400All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Mack the Rottweiler mix is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! He might be 90 pounds, but he's just a big, gentle giant. He is low to medium energy which is perfect for someone who works during the day or leads a more chill lifestyle. Mack likes pretty much everything, but rubber toys, food, naps, and walks top his list. He's also school aged child friendly too! The only thing Mack isn't thrilled about is other animals and therefore would be to be an only pet in his future home. He is so handsome and has a great personality to match. Take a chance on sweet Mack! You won't regret it. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about him on JR's Pups-N-Stuff's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/. Story
Meet Theodore Winston, "Theo" for short who came to Canine Cupids from Chicago where he was found wandering the streets. Theo was emaciated, scared and spent two months in the shelter where he became a volunteer favorite because of his sweet nature and handsome looks. Theo loves to play with tennis balls and enjoys the company of other dogs. He was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia and is on weekly injections to help ease the pain. Theo needs to take it easy when he is playing, and walks should be not very long. Theo is a lover of sunbathing on his foster mom's patio. With his strong wiggly tail, he would not be suitable in a home with small children. If you are interested in Theo please fill out an application today!
