Story
SEEKING DOG OBSESSED ADOPTER THAT WANTS A RUNNING PARTNER OR A BEER GARDEN COMPANION. MUST HAVE FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE AND PATIENCE TO HELP LOLA LIVE HER BEST LIFE. Lola is an almost-one year old, 27 lb mixed breed. She is a social butterfly who packs big dog energy into a perfectly portable size. She loves playing with doggy friends, zoomies, taking walks, naps by your side and meeting new people. Lola is food motivated—making her a great candidate for continued training. She is also your classic “shadow dog,” happiest when she’s close to her favorite people and taking part in whatever you’re doing. Lola's ideal match is someone that is home most of the day or willing to bring her on adventures. She does not like being in a crate and does best when allowed to free roam in a dog-safe space. Lola is good with kids, but she has jumpy puppy energy, so adults-only or teen home is her best match. Lola experiences occasional urinary “oopsies” moments. Her foster family says this is a manageable behavior and they will share tips and tricks with adopter. We are hopeful that she will outgrow it, but she needs an adopter that is committed to loving her through thick and thin. If you’re looking for a best friend, Lola is ready and waiting! Story
Chad is an agile 1 year old Rat Terrier mix with long legs and a goofy personality He does best with consistent people who provide structure and a sense of safety, which helps him continue to grow and feel secure. He is more dog-focused than people-focused and truly enjoys being around other dogs. He tends to do best with female dogs but can also be matched with the right male, as he is not dominant. While he isn’t overly clingy, he will seek out affection from his people at times. Chad is a quiet dog who rarely barks, both in and out of his crate. He has good house manners and only chews his own toys. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He naturally matches the energy of the dogs around him, which makes him easy to integrate into a home with other dogs. He enjoys car rides and long hikes with his people, but does best in calmer, more predictable environments. Chad is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. He is not a match for a home with cats or with children under 13. An adopter committed to respecting his parameters will help ensure his continued success. Story
DO YOU HAVE THE LOVE, TIME AND EXPERIENCE TO CARE FOR A DIABETIC PUPPY? We are looking for a special family ready to welcome Princess into their home and give her a safe space to thrive. Princess is a young, spayed 25 pound mixed breed. We don't know her breeds but we think she looks like a kelpie or rat terrier mix. Her owner surrendered her at 4 months old when she became severely ill. Princess has traveled between multiple rescues and states and she is now settled into her Wisconsin foster home. We are committed to learning all about canine type 1 diabetes and sharing that knowledge with you! Princess is a gem; she is a happy girl who enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on stuffies. She loves her people and older kids, but she needs proper introductions due to declining vision. She is best matched in a quieter routine-oriented home. She is great with calm dogs and lives with cats. She is house trained, but needs frequent potty breaks. Princess receives Insulin shots, eats a select diet and requires daily monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners must be ready to invest time, love and monthly funds into her ongoing care. We are accepting applications to adopt Princess and we hope you'll consider opening your heart and home to this sweet girl. She is worth the investment and she'll pay you back by following you around the house, falling asleep with her head on your shoulder and snoring in your ear. She also never misses a chance to show you her pearly white teeth. With proper blood sugar management and diet, she can live a normal and happy life! Please consider applying or spreading the word! Story
You’ve seen the videos and pictures on social media and the time has come! Penny (and soon her sidekick, Maisy) are ready to start taking applications!! They are not a bonded pair and can go to separate homes, but let us tell you, they are both incredible and the cutest pair. Penny is estimated to be a Great Pyrenees mix and weighs 55 pounds at 9 months old. She has such a kindhearted personality, and her tendency to be a little clueless only makes us love her more. While she still enjoys exercise and playtime, Penny is surprisingly low energy for her age. She loves taking her sweet time on walks and stopping to watch the world around her. But don’t let that fool you, she’s still a puppy and can find herself in a little mischief from time to time. Considering how much change she’s gone through, Penny has adjusted beautifully and has made a lot of progress with potty training in just a few weeks. She’s very submissive with her doggy pals and is phenomenal with cats. She gets so much confidence from Maisy’s calm, motherly demeanor and has really thrived having that kind of friend to follow. Because of that, she will require another confident dog in her home and is much more comfortable being left alone if she has a canine buddy by her side. Penny rarely makes a peep. The only time she’ll really voice her opinion is if she’s crated, which she’s made pretty clear is not her favorite thing. A puppy-proofed room and a doggy friend are much more her style. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives. And if you want to see more of Penny and her "mama" Maisy, head over to our Instagram! Their videos and pictures have captured so much of their personalities, and they’re every bit as cute as they seem. Story
Jade is a 6 month old puppy, who currently weighs 30 pounds. One of the nice things about Jade is that she's had the chance to spend her puppyhood living in a home, not sitting in a shelter. We've had the privilege of watching her grow from a tiny puppy into such a sweet, enjoyable companion to have around. She’s a social gal who does great out in public and is happy to tag along for whatever you're doing. She loves toys, enjoys playing fetch, and is always curious about what's going on around her. She's crate trained, doing well with potty training, and already understands a lot about everyday life. Jade's family should go into puppyhood with reasonable expectations. She'll occasionally make bad decisions, forget her manners, and need some extra guidance, just like any puppy her age. But if you're looking for a fun, social, easygoing dog who is going to be happy doing life with you, Jade is your girl. Jade is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives.
