Although she is a young dog, she'll bring old soul energy into your home. Individuals with medical, veterinary or T1D experience are encouraged to apply. But if you don't have experience, that's okay too! We will teach you! 😊 We are looking for a committed family to adopt Princess. Our goal is to make this a smooth transition and we are here to support you with training and $200+ in donated diabetic supplies. Princess is a one-year-old, spayed 35 pound mixed breed. Her foster family is very familiar with type 1 diabetes and is ready to share their knowledge with you. They are committed to being a long-term resource for any adopter. Princess is a gem; she is a happy thriving girl who enjoys neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on toys. She is house and crate trained. Gentle on leash. Quiet. Loves car rides. She is best matched in a routine-oriented home, with adults or teen children. She is great with calm dogs and lives with cats, but she would also love to be an only child. Princess receives daily Insulin shots, eats a consistent diet and requires monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners will need to invest in her ongoing care. Toffee is a Great Pyrenees mix who weighs 65 pounds at barely a year old. She has such a kindhearted personality, and her tendency to be a little clueless sometimes only makes us love her more. While she still enjoys exercise and playtime, Toffee is surprisingly low energy for her age. She loves taking her sweet time on walks, stopping along the way to watch the world around her. But don’t let that fool you. She’s still a puppy and can certainly find herself in a little mischief from time to time! She’s made great progress with potty training in just a few weeks and continues to improve. When she first arrived at Rey of Hope, she needed a couple of weeks to decompress and learn that she could trust the people around her. Once she felt safe and comfortable, her bubbly personality started to shine. She’s now a happy, wiggly girl who is just as gentle and sweet as ever. Toffee is very submissive with her doggy pals and is phenomenal with cats. She has really thrived having other dogs in her foster home to look to for guidance and confidence. Jade is very energetic, but also loves quiet time in the evenings and puts herself to bed at night. Jade is crate trained and knows basic commands. She needs a fenced in back yard with space to run, or an owner committed to a daily exercise plan. Jade's new family should be confident and committed to ongoing training. 💚 She is smart, trainable and eager to please. Jade is sensitive to correction and needs consistent, gentle guidance, a calm voice and good boundaries. She is known to be a jumping bean and we are working on excitability and manners. For this reason, she is best matched in to an adult home or older teens. Jade may experience occasional urinary accidents when she firat transitions into your home, due to overstimulation and nervousness We are hopeful that she will outgrow since she is young, but she still needs a family that is committed to loving her no matter what. Jade lives with lots of dogs in her foster home, but she is best suited to be an only pet. Rescued just a few months ago as a stray, GENT arrived with a long, heavily matted coat. After a much-needed grooming and veterinary care, this handsome poodle/doodle mix has blossomed into the happy, active, and lovable boy he was meant to be! GENT is as smart as he is handsome. He's highly intelligent and has wonderful manners. He walks beautifully on a leash, rides like a perfect gentleman in the car, and even takes his treats ever so gently. ❤️ He's a sensitive soul, too. Traffic and loud noises can make him uncomfortable, so he would love a patient, understanding person who will help him feel safe and secure as he adjusts to his new life. GENT has been fully vetted and neutered, and now all that's missing is YOU! He's looking for someone who will take him on walks, give him plenty of love, cherish his gentle nature, and remind him every day that he's finally home. GENT has done his time waiting.
