Story
There’s something truly special about Daisy, a petite 18lb beagle. She is believed to be a purebred that was used for breeding and then left at a shelter. This tender-hearted senior is just beginning to discover the joys of the world—and it’s a beautiful thing to witness. Daisy is curious and quietly brave, especially when she’s exploring outside. Life is still new in many ways for her, especially when it comes to human affection. She leans in gently, soaking up every pet like it’s a gift she never expected. She’s low-key, incredibly sweet, and has a heart full of love. Daisy’s working on her potty training and house manners, but with patience and a steady routine, she’s making progress. Her foster describes her as a “dream dog”—loving, soulful, and impossible not to fall for. Daisy would thrive in a calm, compassionate home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. Because she’s a bit older, potential adopters should be prepared for some age-related medical needs down the line. She deserves a family who will love her through every stage of her journey, and who understands the deep joy that comes from giving a senior dog the golden years she deserves. Daisy is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Apply here: www.reyofhoperescue.org/adopt Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. Story
CALLING ALL INTROVERTS!! Monty is a spayed 1.5 yr old petite 40 lb pittie mix looking for her forever home. Monty is a quirky, loveable homebody and her hobbies include collecting stuffy toys, running through the house at full speed, jumping for joy and defending the honor of her favorite people. She is best matched with an adult-only quiet home with prior dog ownership experience. Monty is friends with the dogs that pass through her busy foster home and she greets each new dog visitor with gusto and a toy to share. She is very reserved with strangers and prefers a small social circle - her new owners will need to be patient and allow her time to settle in to her new routine - she will thrive in a home that keeps her on a predictable schedule. Monty is anxious, but very happy in her foster home. She has lived with her foster family for one year and is ready for her turn at adoption. She is house, leash and crate trained. Story
My name's Cash and I am a goofy, fun guy looking for my furever family! I'm about 4-5 months old, 20+lbs and very lanky & clumsy. My foster mom says she thinks I will be a very big boy. I am up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, monthly preventatives, microchipped & neutered. I love other dogs and try to make best friends with all the pups in my foster home. I pretty much like anyone who will give me pets- kids included and since I'm a puppy, I can definitely learn to co-exist with cats. I'm good in my kennel and settle down pretty quickly in there at night, I walk great on a leash, and I'm doing my best to master potty training- I typically do my business outside if kept on a schedule. My foster mom thinks I look like a wire-haired Weimaraner mixed with some other fun breeds. She always tells me I have the most gorgeous eyes! Story
Meet Louie: The Sweetest Toy Hoarder You’ll Ever Snuggle With Don’t let that delightfully grouchy mug fool you—Louie is a total heart-stealer. At 13lbs and approximately 1–2 years old, this neutered little guy has enough charm to fill a toy bin (and yes, he’ll try to do just that). We think Louie’s got a fabulous mix of Chihuahua, Pug, and Pekingese in him—which might explain his signature side-eye and his world-class snuggling skills. Louie is a social butterfly in disguise, getting along famously with dogs, cats, and kids. He’s got a soft spot for plush squeakies and may be in denial about his mild toy-hoarding habit—sharing isn’t always his strong suit, but cuddling? He’s a pro. This snugglebug will happily melt into your lap after a long day of rearranging his toy kingdom. He’s currently mastering crate training—he does let out a little wine-bark symphony at first, but settles in with routine and reassurance. Potty training is going great when he’s kept on a schedule, and he’s up to date on all vaccinations. Louie’s looking for a home that appreciates a good cuddle, doesn’t mind negotiating with a toy dragon, and will continue helping him grow into his confident, quirky self. If you’re ready for love, laughter, and maybe a tiny bit of sass, Louie’s ready to meet you. Story
Looking for a low-maintenance, well-rounded companion? Meet Rusty! This 2-year-old mix breed weighs 70 pounds. Despite his solid build, he’s surprisingly compact for his size. Rusty is a 2-3 year old 70 pound English Setter and Pit Bull mix (DNA tested) with a heart full of loyalty. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Highly food motivated, Rusty loves learning new things and thrives with positive reinforcement. One of his favorite quirks is carrying his stuffie toys along on daily walks. Mellow yet confident, Rusty adapts easily to new environments. He’s currently fostered in a home with other dogs and enjoys their companionship during playtime and naps. Rusty does best with more submissive dogs who respond well to the steady guidance of his confident nature. The ideal home for Rusty is one with experience in caring for a loyal, deeply devoted dog. He forms strong bonds with his people and stays close through thick and thin. Although loving and safe with the children in his own home, he takes his role as their guardian seriously and can be wary of unfamiliar visitors. He’s best suited to a home where his protective instincts can be respected and guided with clear boundaries. Rusty brings both comfort and a quiet sense of security to any home lucky enough to have him.
