Lola is a 9 month-old, 25 lb mixed breed social butterfly who packs big dog energy into a perfectly portable size. This girl is pure fun. She loves playing with other dogs and would thrive with a young playful canine sibling. She walks nicely on leash, lives with cats, and would shine in activities like agility or fetch. Lola is food motivated—making her a great candidate for continued training. She is also your classic “shadow dog,” happiest when she’s close to her people and taking part in whatever you’re doing. Lola is working on her house and crate training and does best with routine. Lola is best suited for a single family home and her ideal match is a family that works from home or is retired. She has some separation anxiety and would prefer to be with her people as much as possible. Lola does have a unique need. She experiences urinary issues and may have “oopsies” moments when she has strong emotions, like being anxious or excited to see you when you return home (which, to be fair, is because she just loves people that much!). With a consistent routine, management tools like washable pee pads in her crate and frequent potty breaks, along with a consistent routine, she does wonderfully. Miley does wonderfully in a crate — she’s quiet and sleeps comfortably as long as her people are nearby. When left alone, she may bark a bit, but she’s making progress as she settles in. Chad is an agile 1 year old Rat Terrier mix with long legs and a goofy personality He does best with consistent people who provide structure and a sense of safety, which helps him continue to grow and feel secure. He is more dog-focused than people-focused and truly enjoys being around other dogs. He tends to do best with female dogs but can also be matched with the right male, as he is not dominant. While he isn’t overly clingy, he will seek out affection from his people at times. Chad is a quiet dog who rarely barks, both in and out of his crate. He has good house manners and only chews his own toys. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He naturally matches the energy of the dogs around him, which makes him easy to integrate into a home with other dogs. He enjoys car rides and long hikes with his people, but does best in calmer, more predictable environments. Chad is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. He is not a match for a home with cats or with children under 13. Princess is 8 months old, 25 pounds, and spayed. We don't know her breeds but we think she looks like a kelpie or rat terrier mix. Her owner surrendered her at 4 months old when she became severely ill. Princess has traveled between multiple rescues and states and she is now settled into her Wisconsin foster home. We are committed to learning all about canine type 1 diabetes and sharing that knowledge with you! Princess is a gem; she is a happy girl who enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on stuffies. She loves her people and older kids, but she needs proper introductions due to declining vision. She is best matched in a quieter routine-oriented home. She is great with calm dogs and ignores cats. She is house trained, but needs frequent potty breaks. Princess receives Insulin shots, eats a prescribed diet and requires daily monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners must be prepared to invest in her ongoing care. She is on a set schedule and must eat and get her insulin shot at the same time every morning and night. Meet Jade. She is a fun-loving, sweet-natured, curious, well-behaved, and playful puppy that loves to be your shadow. At approximately 20lbs, she is only 5 months old and the last of her litter still looking to find her family. She is growing fast! In her foster home, Jade loves to play with her foster siblings (dogs), run outside, go for walks (we are still working on pulling), chew on dog chews (she hasn’t even touched furniture!), and snuggle in your lap. Jade is kennel trained and listens when she needs to be in her kennel. She sleeps through the night, will wake up and let you know when she needs to potty in the morning with a gentle howl. She can sit and shake, we are currently working on lay down. She is mostly potty trained, with very small accidents when she is excited. Jade has the perfect amount of energy, and when you scratch her ears, she smiles for you. Jade is mostly quiet, but is learning to find her voice. (Bonus, Jade also does well with toddlers and young kids and cats!) Jade is spayed and up to date on vaccines.
