Story
Meet Batman – the Sweetest Meatball with a Big Heart! Batman is a handsome Pitty mix with a big head, an even bigger heart, and a silly side. When meeting new people or entering new environments, he can be a little shy at first. He prefers to sit back and observe, taking everything in at his own pace. Give him a few minutes, though, and once he feels comfortable, Batman’s silly, affectionate personality shines right through. Batman loves being outside and truly enjoys playing with other dogs. He also adores affection and does especially well with older children. Because he’s a stocky, happy guy, he’ll need a home without small children—not because he’s aggressive (he’s absolutely not!), but because once he’s comfortable, he can’t always contain his zoomies and could accidently hurt a small child. In his foster home, Batman has met cats and does well with supervision. He’s curious and wants to play, and sometimes doesn’t realize that his size could be a bit much—so a patient, attentive home would be best if feline friends are involved. One of Batman’s favorite parts of the day is cuddle time. He’s a champion snuggler and has a serious weakness for butt scratches. He also has excellent house manners: he’s potty trained, doesn’t bark much, and settles nicely in his crate at night. Batman is looking for a special family—one that understands he just needs a little time to warm up to new people and places. If you’re willing to give him that grace, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion. Batman is truly an amazing dog, and he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves. Story
Cupid and his littermates were discovered by a good samaritan when they were just a few weeks old. Their mom, Lilly, had been sneaking to a nearby home to eat the food that family left out for stray cats. They followed Lilly to her litter in the woods and contacted our rescue partner in Texas for help. Cupid and his family were lucky that day! He has now grown up in a loving foster home, and is so excited to find his forever family in the midwest. He loves people of all ages and loves playing with other dogs. He is working hard on potty training, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI as he is just a young puppy. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. Story
Arriving February 6th Swiss is a beautiful 2 month old, female, mixed breed puppy. She has a gorgeous white coat with black and brown accents. She was found abandoned, along with her littermates, in rural Texas. A good samaritan picked them up and brought them to the shelter just in the nick of time- Texas experienced a deep freeze a few days later. She is working on her potty training in Texas, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI as she is just a young puppy. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. Story
Rylo is a handsome 3-year-old mixed breed with soulful eyes and a gentle spirit to match. He came to us after being surrendered by his owner through the county animal shelter in Texas due to no fault of his own. While we don’t know all the details of his past, it’s clear this boy is ready for a fresh start. Rylo weighs about 61 pounds and carries himself with a calm, steady presence that makes you feel at ease the moment you meet him. Rylo is described by staff as sweet, gentle, and good on leash—the kind of dog who enjoys being by your side and taking in the world at a relaxed pace. He’s friendly, attentive, and eager to please, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. He’s ready to leave his past behind and find a forever home where he can finally settle in, feel safe, and be loved the way he deserves. He is potty trained in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition.
