Story
*Freddy's adoption fee has been sponsored by our friends at Another Shot Coffee Roasters!* Meet our big goofy boy named Freddy! Freddy is about 2 years old and he came to our shelter after he was found running around by the highway in town. Freddy is a very outgoing boy who loves everyone! He is a large dog who we believe could be a Lab mixed with a larger Hound breed. Currently, Freddy weighs about 70 lbs, but he is on the skinny side and we think a good weight for him would be at least 75 lbs. Freddy is a young and active dog who still has a puppy personality. He can get a bit jumpy when he is excited, but he is gentle about it. We believe he is already housetrained as he is very clean in his kennel and tries to hold everything until he gets a chance to go outside. When Freddy is in his kennel, he always carries a stuffed toy in his mouth and whines for attention. He would love to join a happy family! Freddy is good with other dogs and he tested non reactive in our cat room. He can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Freddy, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee has been sponsored by our friends at Another Shot Coffee Roasters! PLEASE CHECK YOU EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. Ray is an amazing 3-year-old dog who’s ready to bring excitement and adventure into your life! She’s happiest when she’s on the move — chasing a frisbee, going for a run, or joining her favorite people on an outdoor adventure. Ray would thrive in an active home with adults or older kids (12+) who can match her enthusiasm and keep her both mentally and physically engaged.Ray comes beautifully trained, and her new family will receive her full training packet to help continue her progress and keep building on her great foundation. She has a high prey drive, so she’ll need a home that understands her energy and instincts. Story
Name: LadyBreed: Hound MixAge: 4 years oldCats: NoDogs: NoKids: NoOur lovely Lady is searching for her forever home! At an estimated 4 years old, this sweet girl hasn’t had the best start in life. Lady was found roaming by a local animal control and sat waiting for her person to come for her but sadly, they never did. Lady was apprehensive to human touch at first but has made huge strides in learning to trust humans and that affection is okay. Sometimes a bit too much as she likes to be real close and in the laps of the people she loves the most! While she has come a long way in her time with us, Lady is still working on some trust issues with new humans and will require a special person who is willing to put the time and effort into coming and working build a bond with her.More about Lady, she loves her walks and quiet time in our expen away from the other pups. She’s also quite the fan of chasing down tennis balls, and loves her true chew treats! No other animals for Lady, as she has high prey drive. No kids as she prefers an adult only home. Lady is microchipped, utd on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Lady the forever home she longs for, please apply today!!
