Story
Aster and her five siblings were born to their mother, Gloria, on March 25th in a shelter near our rescue. At just 3 days old, they came into our care, where they’ve spent the last 8+ weeks growing, thriving, and preparing for their forever homes. Aster is a gentle, quiet girl with a thoughtful personality. She’s very observant and prefers to hang back for a moment to see what her braver siblings think before trying something new herself. Once she feels comfortable, though, she happily seeks out attention and affection. She’s especially sweet and polite when taking treats. Because Aster seems to enjoy a calmer environment, we feel she would do best in a home with children over 6 years old or in a more peaceful setting. Here at Good Catch, she’s settled into a wonderful routine, starting her mornings bright and early with her siblings, followed by a full day of playtime, naps and puppy antics before bedtime around 9 PM. We expect Aster to grow to around the size of her mama, Gloria, who weighs approximately 65 pounds. She has a thick, beautiful coat and will likely do very well in cooler climates. You can also see her brother Otis’s DNA results in the photos above for a better idea of the litter’s breed makeup. At nearly 9 weeks old, Aster’s personality is still developing, but we can already picture her becoming an incredible companion and future hiking partner once she’s fully grown. Aster is up to date on her vaccinations, on flea, tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped and has been on a deworming schedule since she was 2 weeks old. She and her siblings currently enjoy Purina Pro Plan puppy kibble and never turn down a good puppy snack! We are based in Texas but adopt to multiple states. Our goal is always to find the very best match for each pup, and we work with trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their forever homes. Puppies in our care who are 6 months or older are spayed or neutered through Good Catch; for younger puppies, this responsibility falls to the adopter. Story
At approximately 70 pounds, Gloria is a big girl with an even bigger heart. Sweet, affectionate, playful, and eager to make new friends, she loves being involved in whatever is happening around her. She has done exceptionally well meeting new people and frequently checks in with her humans to make sure everyone is doing just fine. Belly rubs, back scratches, butt scratches, and a good brushing session are some of her favorite things, and after a little fun and attention, she's perfectly content to spend a warm afternoon napping indoors. Her friendly, easygoing nature extends to children as well, and she has been gentle and affectionate with the kids she has met. For the past three weeks, Gloria has been thriving in her new foster home after being spayed and officially retiring from motherhood. She settled in with remarkable ease, taking just a few days to observe household routines, get to know her family, and meet the resident pets before making herself right at home. She quickly became friends with the resident dogs and has shown herself to be a wonderful companion. Gloria has a moderate energy level and would love a home with a securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and stretch her long legs. Despite her size, she has excellent house manners and enjoys both playtime and relaxing with her people. Gloria prefers cooler weather and isn't a fan of the Texas heat. She would likely thrive in a more temperate or northern climate where she can comfortably enjoy outdoor adventures year-round. She enjoys car rides, loads up easily, and handles new experiences with confidence. Her foster family reports that she remains calm during loud noises, including thunderstorms. Her gentle, submissive nature makes her very responsive to verbal guidance. Since arriving in rescue, Gloria has proven to be a well-mannered house guest. She is crate trained, potty trained, nondestructive, and sleeps soundly through the night. Based on her easy transition into home life, we believe she may have previously lived as an indoor/outdoor family dog. Gloria currently lives with cats and has shown that she can coexist successfully with dog-friendly, confident feline companions. She does best with cats that are comfortable around dogs and won’t be intimidated by her size or curiosity. Slow introductions and proper management during the adjustment period will help ensure a smooth transition into a home with cats. Before Gloria got the chance to focus on herself, she dedicated the first eight weeks of her rescue journey to raising her puppies. She was an attentive, loving, and nurturing mother who provided everything her litter needed to thrive—from nourishment and affection to important social skills. Thanks to her devotion, her puppies grew into healthy, well-socialized youngsters and are all on their way to their own adventures. Two of her daughters, Lana and Aster are still searching for families of their own and are also available for adoption. They turned 10 weeks on 6/3. Now that her mothering duties are complete, it’s finally Gloria’s turn. She has already proven herself to be a devoted mom; now she’s ready to be a cherished family member. Gloria is looking for a home that will give her the love, comfort, and happily-ever-after she so richly deserves. This fair lady is fully vetted, microchipped and has received a 12 month Pro-Heart shot for a year of heartworm prevention. For out of state adopters, Gloria can travel safely with one of our trusted transport partners, Freedom Run Express or Tigger's Texas Transport. We adopt to multiple states to help each dog find their perfect forever home.

Story
Cyrus was one of three puppies rescued alongside their mom after they were found abandoned in a crate on the side of a remote road. A good Samaritan stepped in to help and reached out online for assistance. That was the day everything changed for Cyrus and his family. Cyrus is 3 months old and currently weighs 15 pounds. DNA testing from one of his littermates indicates that mom, Sunny, is a Chihuahua/Poodle mix, while dad was an Australian Shepherd/Shepherd mix. Based on his current size, we estimate that Cyrus will grow to around 30 pounds. This dappled dude is a happy-go-lucky puppy. He's curious, confident, playful, social, and seems to be the leader of the Sunny trio. Cyrus has the energy of an Aussie mixed with the fun-loving spirit of a Poodle. He's a smart boy who is eager to learn and easy to train. Cyrus would do well in a home with children who are old enough to understand that puppies explore and play with their mouths. A home with a yard would be ideal, as he loves spending time outdoors. At this time, we don't believe apartment living would be the best fit for him. Cyrus currently barks at the barn cats he sees every day. He would thrive either as the only dog in a home where someone is around to provide plenty of enrichment and guidance during his puppyhood, or with another friendly dog who would enjoy having a companion. Cyrus is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and receiving flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Puppies in our care who are 6 months of age or older are spayed or neutered through Good Catch. For younger puppies, this responsibility falls to the adopter. We are based in Texas but adopt to multiple states.
