Story
Digger is a petite female pit mix that came to us from TX. We think she could have some Jack Russell in her too! Originally found roaming in southern Texas , this girl lived in an outside kennel for several months in southern TX. She is so happy to now be in a foster home. She is housebroken and happy to hang out on a dog bed while her foster parents work. She loves squeaky toys and napping. She needs to be the only pet in the home. Digger is being fostered in Southern CT.

Story
Brandy is 7 years old. My ex and I adopted her as a puppy. I have another dog in my house-a Doberman mix who is 9 years old. They got along well up until 2022 when my ex left to go stay with his mother who was ill. After he left, the dogs started fighting. Brandy was the instigator for most of the fights. I have had success with keeping them separated, however, my father is 84 years old and in the past year his health has begun to decline and I am afraid of something happening when I am at work during the day. I am afraid of him leaving the door open and Brandy getting out and fighting with my other dog, or Brandy getting away from him when he puts her outside during the day and him not being able to get her back. I feel that Brandy would do better in a home where she is not as confined as she is now. She would do well with adults and as the only dog, and with someone who understands her breed.

Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.
