Story
Hello. My pets name is Kairo. He is a purebred Rottweiler that I’ve had since he was a puppy. AKC certified. He still has his tail. He is about 150lbs. He is house trained, knows basic commands, and very kind. He has been socialized since a pup and has always been around people. I have a 2 yr old who he has been around his entire life without issue. He’s a protector and guardian at heart. He loves to play fetch, run around outside and if he sees a soccer ball or any ball, it’s game time. He is very food motivated. What I’m looking for in a new home is for someone who is experienced with big dogs. Someone who understands how to build a relationship with a dog. Someone who is not afraid of the size and willing to understand him. He is a great companion. Preferably a home with a secure area for him. I can assure you that he is a phenomenal dog with a great heart and no ill intent. I have NEVER seen him ever have ill intentions or even growl.

Story
Digger is a petite, 4 yr old female pit mix that came to us from TX. We think she could have some Jack Russell in her too! Originally found roaming in southern Texas , this girl lived in an outside kennel for several months in southern TX.  She is so happy to now be in a foster home. She is housebroken and happy to hang out on a dog bed while her foster parents work.  She loves squeaky toys and napping. She needs to be the only pet in the home. Digger is being fostered in Southern CT. ##795053##

Story
I’m Tamale! I’m about two years old. My rescue thinks I’m a chihuahua mix. Since I’ve arrived at foster care in May 2022, I’ve learned so much! I know how to sit, “touch,” lie down, and come when called. I’m very curious and loving. I love to play fetch and tug. My favorite thing to do is chew on a toy until I fall asleep on my foster’s lap. I love cuddling! I'm living and thriving in my foster home with another female dog! We play and even cuddle on the couch. In my previous foster home, I was pretty stressed by the resident cats. I would do best in a home with no cats and no children. I’d love a home where I can go on long walks in the woods and play ball. I also enjoy car rides. I love hiking with all my dog friends in a big group! I have a ton of love to give, I just need a family of my own. Please apply if you want to be my family. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained, crate trained, and healthy! Currently being fostered in Trumbull, CT.

Story
ATTENTION SPECIAL NEEDS DOG LOVERS! ❤️ 🐾❤️🐾 BRUIN 🐾❤️🐾 AKA “Bru-ski,” “Stitch,” “Bru-Bru” Bruin came into our rescue when he was listed as “free” on Craigslist. We knew we had to make sure he did not fall into the wrong hands! Bruin has been blind since birth. One eye needed to be removed due to extreme glaucoma. He’s making a full recovery from his surgery, and thriving in his foster home! 🐾 Age 2. 🐾 Weight 40 lbs. 🐾 Bruin seems very eager to play with his foster dog siblings, (small dogs), but due to his size as well as his post-surgery recovery, he is limited with his ability to play and has not been fully introduced yet. We believe that Bruin will most likely get along with other dogs with proper introductions. 🐾 Older children only due to the fact that he is vision impaired. 🐾 Cat friendly! 🐾 Housetrained. 🐾 Crate-trained 🐾 Bruin needs to be on medication (eye drops three times a day) for the remaining eye for the rest of his life. A low cost routine Med. 🐾 Bruin loves to run off leash in his fenced in yard. He has learned to navigate the yard in an amazing way, with no halo needed. (See video). He doesn’t run, he prances! ❤️ 🐾 Knows some basic commands. 🐾 Neutered, Microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Bruin is being fostered in Milford, CT. This is what Bruin’s foster mom has to say about him: Bruin is much like a sighted dog in many ways. He wants to play, enjoys his toys, loves his couch time, loves his family, his cheese chews, and loves being outside. When dealing with Bruin, one must put themselves in his shoes, imagining what life is like for him not being able to see. Bruin’s new owner will have to rely on verbal commands and other means to communicate with him. Bruin is very fearful of unfamiliar sounds, people, and environments. He will sometimes react out of fear, and therefore needs a very patient and understanding owner who is willing to work with him to help him overcome these fears. Once he is confident in his space, he’s just another dog. He will curl up on the couch with you and he likes to know that someone is nearby. He’s most content with a hand on him as he rests. He relaxes immediately with a belly rub and actually falls asleep that way. Bruins ideal home will be someone who has a great deal of patience and understanding for the needs of a blind dog. Someone who will be home with him a lot would be ideal. A large, securely fenced in yard is preferable for him to enjoy the freedom of running. We would love to find Bruin a home with another companion dog.
