Story
Nanjie is 9 years old (named after the Nanjemoy river in Maryland). Her Mom had to go into Memory care and could no longer look after her. Nanjie would make a great companion dog for someone that would like company. She is up to date on all her vaccines. She does really well with other dogs. She would be best suited with a couple or a single adopter. She walks well on leash, takes treats gently, understands basic commands, and is house trained. She loves to go on walks and sleep on the couch (with one eye open). She guards the house well and will let you know if anyone is coming to the front door. Nanjie is a gentle dog and loves her scratches.

Story
Hondo is a great little guy, He listens, is playful, is joyful and ABSOLUTELY loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. Got him from Southbury Shelter, September of 2024. First month he was super friendly to everyone he met. 2 months in he developed Puppy Fear, very common, where he became afraid of brooms, boxes, a jacket on a chair, cars, trucks, and also new people/kids. He went from being outgoing, friendly guy to skeptical and worried anytime in public. Working for the last 6 months with a trainer, he is much better, but he still has fear and is slow to warm up. He needs someone who is patient, loving & experienced. He is VERY loving and happy with everyone he knows, but our household is a little too much for him. We always have a house full of people and he gets nervous. With constant new visitors, zero aggression, sadly, he goes into his crate and looks worried. Breaks my heart because he is such a sweet guy. A quieter home, Fenced Yard with another dog buddy would be ideal.

Stella is a sweet girl for the right person. She loves a long walk or car ride. She loves to cuddle she is always the little spoon. Stella isnt great with kids. She had gotten used to our older two but does not do well with the baby. She will walk away or leave the room if the baby enters but has snapped. We have a cat but Stella does not do well with other animals. In a perfect world Stella has a single owner or adults with no children and space to run around. She loves a good game of fetch. She knows sit stay go lay down. When told to go to the cage she will. funny enough we accidentally trained her to go in the crate when we say Alexa play dog music.
