She’d thrive in an active home with older kids or teens and a family ready to guide her with training and plenty of playtime. Say hello to Dakota! This beautiful girl loves running in our play yards, lounging in the dog pools, and belly rubs. She was adopted out but has come back to BAHS by no fault of her or the adopters. We have now learned the type of home that will be the best fit for Dakota. She needs to be in a very calm environment with only 1-2 people and no cats. Dakota also needs plenty of time to learn to trust, so she will need everyone in her future family to visit her for a few months before going home. Once this gorgeous girl gets to know you, she has plenty of love to give. Dakota is a Lab mix and was born on 11/7/2015. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and takes preventive flea/tick/heartworm medicine. As with all of our dogs, Dakota must be an indoor dog. Observant. Incredibly loyal. Esme is a 39-lb Whippet mix born on 5/22/2024, who gets along with other dogs and would do best in a quiet home with a confident canine friend. She needs regular exercise, but more than that, she needs patience, consistency and some one who won`t rush her heart. We would recommend a puppy class for this guy! Despite being a little explorer, Boone has a calm and gentle soul, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving friend. Boone is eager to find his forever home and can't wait to snuggle up in your arms. Will you be the one to give this sweet boy a chance? Boone is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available with approved application and confirmed adoption. He is neutered, up-to-date on all shots, micro-chipped and his adoption fee is $375. Truffles is from a hoarding case but she doesn't show any signs of abuse or neglect and is a resilient little girl.
