Story
Pandora is a beautiful, fun-loving sighthound with a million watt smile and a personality to match. A volunteer and staff favorite, Pandora is Pop-u-lar! When you meet her you too will be won over by her relaxed, friendly charm and humorous antics. Pandora is a long legged blonde with a mysterious past. All we know about her former life is she was rescued by our friends at Team Inch Sighthound Rescue from a South Korean dog shelter. Pandora’s gene pool is a true sighthound party mix, comprised of 77% Greyhound, 14% Irish Wolfhound, 5% Borzoi, 2% Polish Greyhound, and 2% other stuff. Pandora is about the same height of a larger greyhound but a bit fuzzier and very strong for her size. She absolutely loves all people and loves to play and frolic in our large grassy play yard (alone or with a human friend). When she isn’t playing with people, she is a confident, low-key, and independent girl who will happily amuse herself by tossing toys up to pounce on! After playtime she’s also glad just to chill by your side. We think Pandora will make a great housemate. The GPI kennel attendants give Pandora an “A+” at keeping her kennel tidy and she hasn’t shown to be much of a barker. Pandora is very bright, and is an eager pupil who likes to learn. As much as Pandora adores people, she cannot live with cats or other small animals. Nor is she really a fan of other dogs, particularly stranger dogs. While Pandora is cordial to the other dogs at GPI and can tolerate walks with sighthounds or other dogs to whom she has been properly introduced, she is reactive to dogs who are strangers. Pandora’s trainer has made huge strides in reducing/controlling her reactivity when she encounters strange dogs in the world outside of GPI. We think Pandora’s reactivity will continue to improve with her new family if they will commit to a regular desensitization practice. Pandora’s adoption includes four one-hour private training sessions with her professional trainer who will show her new family how to handle and lessen her dog reactivity. Her forever family can be quiet or busy, and possibly have older, dog-savvy kids. But because of her size and strength her family should have no young children. Pandora’s home needs to be with an experienced dog owner in a quiet area with a large, fenced yard in which to play and lounge. She is not suited for life where she will have chance encounters with strange dogs in close quarters. Thus, Pandora should not be in a densely populated situation like an apartment/condo/townhome, an urban area, or another closely packed area (e.g., farmers market, dog friendly pub, and pet store). That said, Pandora will be a great companion for hiking in lesser frequented areas, camping, and other unpopulated outdoor adventures. She loves walks and has nice leash manners when there are no stranger dogs nearby. Pandora is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Story
Camden is approximately 18-20 months old. We adopted her in October of 2024. She is smart, affectionate, and deeply bonded to her people. We have another dog and the two got along well until her spay. After which, she became jealous of our other dog. (June 2025). We started one and one training with her, to see if we could manage her jealousy. She walks well on a leash and is not reactive. There was a recent situation that made it clear we are no longer the best long term environment for her. The decision was not made lightly and comes from a place of responsibility and love, not convenience. Camden would do best in: A home with experienced dog guardians As an only pet A calm, structured environment Adults or older children who understand dog boundaries Someone that is home with her. She is currently only kenneled 4 hours a day. Camden is a wonderful dog.

Story
Meet adorable and loving Jude. He was rescued from the Avenal animal shelter in CA, where he spent an agonizing nine months-over 274 days-locked away. At just six months old, he faced a year of confinement that could be likened to seven years in human terms. The boredom and distress he experienced are unimaginable. Now that Jude is out of the shelter, he is learning and adapting, but he has a long way to go. He has been doing so great at training and you can definitely see such wonderful results from the training program! We’ve seen amazing progress at the training facility. He is now looking for his forever home or foster. is done with his training and doing so well! He was in a program for about 60 days and has proven to be ready for a foster or adoptive home. Trainers are able to give some sessions to show what he has learned! He would love to be in his new home for the new year. Jude is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Jude is currently still in San Jose but plans to transport as soon as we have a foster or adopter. Jude is VERY dog friendly and his adoption includes one on one training sessions with you. He would do best with older children but is good with people and has learned to be open to his new surroundings. Jude walks well on a leash, is house trained and he can’t wait to meet you! Jude is a tall handsome boy that just need a chance. Jude has graduated his training program and looking for a great home. Please apply so we can help this boy stay on his training routine and make your life better! Please contact Priscilla at packlyferescue@yahoo.com.

Story
If your dream dog is whip-smart, diligent, loyal, athletic, playful, and affectionate, Miss Rey may just be the One! She is a brainy, brawny, and bubbly brindle beauty who loves to learn and works extra hard to please. Rey, a six-year-old female greyhound mix originally from South Korea, has a cool-looking brindle coat, an alert expression, and plenty of energy. Friendly, outgoing and literally a “hugger”, Rey loves all humans, though she might love men even a little extra! This girl is surprisingly strong and could probably pull a 747 without breaking a sweat. The best home for Rey will be one which gives her space to exercise, ideally in her own yard, and lots of mental and physical activity. Like most extra smart individuals regardless of species, Rey needs to be kept mentally stimulated to avoid slipping into mischief. Rey’s ideal family will keep her intellectually engaged with learning new things, going to interesting places, and sharing their lives’ adventures with her. Sports or service work would be great ways to keep her mind challenged. While it isn’t a must for her to live with people who are home all the time, Rey will need to be around her family a lot. Rey loves going on car rides -short or long- because she knows they take her to new places and reveal interesting things! One of Rey’s favorite things is to tear a stuffed toy apart from limb to limb; when she finally locates the squeaker she is in bliss. Because most humans don’t approve of toy destruction, Rey has had many toys taken away from her. As a result, when it comes to her toys, she has learned not to trust most people, because so many people have “stolen” so many toys before she could destroy them properly! This is why Rey must go to a home without kids. Rey just doesn’t trust people with her valuables (like toys) until she really knows them first. Once she does trust you though she can be convinced to relax her toy vigilance with savvy handling. This girl’s trust can be earned with just lots of treats, play, and cuddles or belly rubs. GPI’s trainer will teach Rey’s new family methods for interacting with Rey and her toys in four free one-on-one training sessions, and offer priority paid sessions thereafter as needed. She must be the only dog in the household as she wants to protect “her” people and space, as well as food and toys, from other dogs. Apart from this, Rey is very tolerant of other dogs, even in close proximity. But she doesn’t seem at all interested in making dog friends. She absolutely can never live with cats or other small animals. Rey is good on a leash, non-reactive when passing other dogs, and will make a wonderful- albeit really strong -walking companion. With a savvy handler she is well behaved in most public places, though places like pet supply stores where she can easily snag a toy she considers valuable should be avoided. One of Rey’s greatest fans, who best knows Rey, sums her up like this: “If you look up love and loyalty in the dictionary you will see Rey’s picture. All this girl wants is to work for the one she loves. Her love is easy to earn. Rey craves mental and physical enrichment, trust, and affection. A little play, show her you're a giver not a taker, and some belly rubs is all it would take for this extraordinary girl to give her whole self to you.” Rey is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. To set up a meet and greet or for more information on this amazing girl, please contact Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com or call Greyhound Pets in Woodinville at 877-468-7681.
