Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142

Story
Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400. Inquiries will not be responded to unless a completed application has been sent. You can fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org. You must fill out all of the blanks in the application - put "n/a" if one question is not applicable to you.

Story
Cooper is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Cooper can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life—in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Cooper is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. Meet Cooper: The Ultimate Adventure Partner! Breed: 33% Australian Shepherd, 21% Mini Australian Shepherd, 20% Rat Terrier, and 8 other smaller breeds at 10% or less. Age: 1.5 – 2 Years Old Weight: 36 lbs (The perfect medium size!) Personality: High Energy / People-Oriented Ready, Set, Cooper! If you are looking for a dog with brains, beauty, and a motor that never quits, meet Cooper. This stunning young man is at that perfect age where he’s finished with puppyhood but has all the "go-go-go" you could ever want in a companion. With his striking tricolor coat and those alert, intelligent ears, Cooper is a head-turner. But he’s more than just a pretty face—he’s a smart, focused boy who is ready for a job, a hike, or a long game of fetch. Cooper’s Highlights: • A People Person: Cooper genuinely enjoys the company of humans. He is friendly, attentive, and eager to please his people. • Family Potential: We think he would do fine with children, and we are happy to test him with kids upon request to ensure a perfect match. • Travel Ready: Whether it’s a trip to the local trail or a weekend getaway, Cooper is an excellent passenger. He rides quietly and calmly in the car. • Leash Skills: He’s already ahead of the game! Cooper knows how to walk on a leash, making him a great partner for daily walks or jogs. • Athletic & Agile: At 36 lbs, he is lean, fast, and agile. He would likely excel in agility training, frisbee, or any activity that challenges his mind and body. The Ideal Home: Cooper has been spending his time recently in a barn setting, so he is still learning the ropes of indoor life. While we aren’t sure if he’s fully housebroken yet (housebroken selected when listing, “unknown” means “no” to Petfder), his breed mix is famously intelligent and quick to learn routines. In typical herding dog fashion, Cooper does like to chase small animals, including cats (OK with cats selected, “unknown” means “no” with Petfinder). However, he never shows aggression or tries to hurt them; he truly seems to just want to play! Because he is a high-energy "working" breed mix, he isn’t a couch potato. He is looking for an active family or individual who understands the needs of herding breeds—someone who will provide him with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and a "job" to do. Are you ready to add some high-speed joy to your life? Cooper is waiting to meet his new best friend! Video of Cooper: https://youtube.com/shorts/lzpPKyIJqX4?si=LstXj6BAig8Fjce6 Health & Wellness Cooper is a healthy boy and will arrive at his new home fully "vetted" and ready for a fresh start! His adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Chico is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). Prevention: He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Tested heartworm negative on April 29. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Adoption Details Cooper’s adoption fee is $700. This fee is all-inclusive, covering his neuter, all veterinary care listed above, and his seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting him safely to your area. If you feel Cooper is the perfect fit for your family, we’d love to hear from you!
