Story
****ADOPTION APPLICATION HERE*** Hi, my name is Ducky! My siblings and I were dropped off at a local kill shelter because my old parents said they didn’t want puppies. We weren’t given much of a chance to make it since we were so young and the shelter was not really equipped to handle tiny babies. The ladies there were so nice and saw that we were fed and watered and kept warm and then called CARE. CARE took us in and now we are doing great -running playing and can start looking for our forever home. I’m a 4 pound Chihuahua mix who is just turning 8 weeks old. I am happy loving and excited to start my new life. To find out more information on this dog please apply to adopt on our website at www.caretx.org/adopt and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP! Hi! My name is Nuvia and I am available for adoption.I was brought in as a stray originally and then adopted. I was returned by my adopters because I have a hard time being home alone. I lived in a home with adults. My previous owner described me as playful and outgoing. I don`t know any commands yet but I`m an eager pup who`s ready to learn! I`m food motivated so teaching me new things should be a snap. I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I would do best in a home with older children due to general bounciness. I weigh 38lbs and am considered a medium size dog.I`m a playgroup pal! So far I`ve played with one other dog of a similar size and did very well. Make sure to ask staff about my interactions with other dogs to hear me! My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Zero and I am available for adoption.I was orginally brought to RASKC by a good samaritan on January 11, 2024. I was adopted and returned on April 13, 2024 after a couple of months because it was just not a right fit due to my high energey levels and space needed to run!I weigh 54.5 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I am VERY treat motivated and will happily `sit`, `shake` and `lay down` for them :)The shelter thinks I am mixed with a husky which means I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.I am looking for a family that is outdoorsie or athletic who is willing to take me on long walks, hikes or adventures :)My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Hi! My name is Sunny and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by a good samaritan on January 13, 2024.I`m a fun loving, friendly and happy boy! While I`ve been at RASKC, I`ve been going to playgroup with other dogs and I absolutely love it. I`ve only played with other medium size dogs, but I bet I could get along with just about anyone. I`m pretty easy going when I`m in a kennel, I spend a lot of time lazing around so I probably have a good `off switch.` I`m looking forward to summer and hope I can spend it being the light of my new familys life!I weigh 62lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I can get excited and bouncy when the energy around me gets high so I would probably do best in a home with older children. I tend to be a bit overly interested in cats and may do best in a home without small animals or a home that`s willing to take introductions very slow.I went into a foster home and this is what they said about me: Meet Sunny, a sweet and loving guy, with the most stunning eyes and big heart. He is around three years old and 62lbs and would be happy to be your lap dog if you let him. He is a total snuggle bug and gives big kisses once he warms up to new people.Sunny is house trained and hasn`t had any accidents inside while in his foster home. He is crate trained and does great in his crate at night and while alone for short periods.Sunny absolutely loves his toys! His favorites are his cheese-stuffed Kong, and stuffed animals (the super strong ones, because he can CHEW!) His toys are important, as he has an active mind and needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He is a smart boy, learning new things every day. He has mastered `sit`, `shake` and `down`. He is working on his recall and working on his leash manners. He likes treats and takes them very gently.Sunny is a bit too interested in small animals like rabbits, birds, and squirrels, and wants to chase them. So, a home without smaller animals is best.He is a large and goofy pup that sometimes forgets how big he is, so a home without small children would be best. This snuggle bug just wants to please his people and be loved. He cannot wait to find his forever home and be your ray of sunshine!

Story
Hello! My name is Shasta. I`m a typical Husky - a fun loving girl with a zest for life. I love to move and would enjoy a home that keeps me active! I`m working on my obedience skills and currently know `sit`, I will reliably do it for treats! I`ve been lukewarm on toys but I do decidedly prefer something that squeaks. Due to my breed and natural inclination to chase small moving objects, any home with small animals, small dogs or cats should be prepared for a carefully managed introduction so we can all be friends! I weigh 51.5 lbs but I do need to gain come wait. Most huskies are considered large breeds, but i`m not quite there yet. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!
