Hello! My name is Liv, and I’m a gentle soul who was once just days away from euthanasia at a shelter. But I was given a second chance — and now, I’m learning what love truly means. 💛 At first, I can be shy around new people or big, unfamiliar places. I get a little scared, but once I realize I’m safe, I quietly come close and show my affection in the sweetest ways. Beneath my timid heart is a dog full of warmth, kindness, and love. I get along beautifully with other dogs. I often look to my dog friends for comfort, follow their lead, and enjoy playing and cuddling with them once we’re close. Because of that, I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog — but I could also be perfectly happy as an only pet, soaking up all your love just for myself. I’m gentle with children, too. Sometimes, I can be a little wary of unfamiliar men, but I’m never aggressive — just cautious. I’m the kind of dog who startles easily but never hurts anyone. In calm environments, I relax and show my quiet, loving personality. I enjoy walks, though sometimes I get a little excited and might pull on the leash or get curious about interesting smells (especially if there’s a cat nearby 🐾). Big signs or large objects can make me a bit nervous, but I’m fine with cars and motorcycles. After a nice walk, I love waiting patiently for my treat — my eyes will sparkle with anticipation! 🍪 I prefer doing my business outdoors, especially on soft grass. When I’m with another dog, I feel safe even when my human steps out — but if I’m left completely alone, I might bark for a bit. Still, I’m calm and quiet most of the time at home. I know basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and I’m very patient when asked to follow directions. Taking medicine isn’t my favorite thing, but if you hide it in boiled chicken, I’ll happily take it! At the vet, I get a little shaky, but I stay still and do my best — I really try to be brave. 🩷 I love curling up on the bed next to my person at night — that’s when I feel the safest and happiest. I also travel well in the car, especially if I have my own car seat to rest in. I’m looking for a calm, loving home — a family who will give me time to adjust and show me patience while I continue learning that the world is a safe place. Once I trust you, I’ll give you everything: my loyalty, my quiet love, and my heart that’s stronger than it looks. I was once abandoned, but this time, I’m hoping to find a home where I’ll never be left behind — a forever family who will teach me what it means to be loved for a lifetime. 💛

Even though life was tough in the beginning, I never let it take away my bright spirit or my warm, loving nature. I love other dogs and make friends easily. 💛 Hi, I’m Choco! I was rescued from a greenhouse where many dogs like me were being raised to be sold to dog farms. Life there was scary — I was often hurt by the person who owned the place, and I learned to be afraid of people and new things. But now, I’m learning that gentle hands and kind voices exist… and I really want to trust again. At first, I might seem shy or even a little nervous, especially around new people or unfamiliar places. But if you give me time and patience, you’ll see my true self — a soft-hearted, affectionate pup who loves to stay close and show love in quiet, tender ways. 🌿 Health: I’m in good health overall! I’m scheduled for a dental scaling soon. I used to have some tear allergies, but I’m much better now thanks to my special allergy-friendly food. I’m not a picky eater at all — I enjoy my meals! 🐶 Personality & Friends: I enjoy my own space, especially my bed and food, so I’d probably do best as the only dog in the family. But I can get along fine with another calm and gentle friend if we’re introduced slowly. When I feel comfortable, I like to show affection by gently licking my friends. 💛 With People: I take my time to trust. I might be cautious around strangers, especially men, but once I know you’re kind, I’ll become loving, loyal, and very sweet. I won’t rush into cuddles, but if you sit quietly with me, I’ll come closer on my own — and once I do, I’ll melt into your hands. 🚶‍♀️ Walks & Everyday Life: I enjoy calm walks. Sometimes I get startled by loud noises like flapping banners or cars, but I don’t chase cats or birds — I just keep walking. I’m fine wearing a harness, and I don’t pull much once I feel safe. 🏠 Manners & Habits: I can go to the bathroom both indoors and outdoors. If there’s a pee pad available, I’ll use it when needed. I don’t bark much, I don’t have separation anxiety, and I sleep peacefully on my own bed at night. 🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home Hi, I’m Tanya 🤍 Let me tell you my story as I wait for my forever family. I was rescued from a shelter where euthanasia was imminent. With only a short time left, a miracle happened—and I was given a second chance at life. The bright, affectionate dog you see today exists because of that precious second miracle. I’m a loving girl who truly enjoys being close to people. I’m curious, cheerful, and full of warmth. When I get excited, I have short bursts of playful “zoomies,” but overall I have a calm and well-balanced energy. I have a pretty regular potty routine—about three times a day (around 8 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m.). I can do both indoor and outdoor potty, and I usually use pads in my resting area. I’m not perfect yet, so a little continued potty training would help me shine even more. I eat twice a day and have been enjoying Royal Canin Medium kibble mixed with fresh Duet meals. I have a great appetite and love treats of all kinds! Because I do love food a bit too much, it’s best to keep human food safely out of reach. I’m very cooperative when it comes to grooming. I tolerate paw cleaning after walks, tooth brushing, baths, and even drying—none of them are my favorite, but I stay calm and patient. Nail trims have been done at the vet so far. I’m friendly and social with dogs of all sizes and get along well in group settings. On walks, I might pull a little if I see cats or big birds out of curiosity, but I haven’t shown any aggression toward cats. I bond deeply with my person and love staying close—I even prefer sleeping together. With strangers, I tend to warm up faster to women than men, but once I feel safe, my affection comes through. I walk nicely on leash with little pulling, though I sometimes circle around my person, so a shorter leash helps with control. I’m comfortable wearing both a collar and a harness. Stairs going down are still tricky for me, so I need to be carried, but going up is no problem at all. I love toys, especially squeaky ones—they’re my absolute favorite! I don’t have separation anxiety and can spend time alone calmly and confidently. I love human warmth. I understand the joy of living together. Once so close to the end, I’m now waiting for a family to share my whole life with. Will you be my forever family? 🐾
